A great 3 hr experience.

This is a very nice 3hr tour. Plenty of time to see the gardens and do a little shopping if you like. Our guide Sammy was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She knew so much about the history of Yu Garden and Chinese customs. The tea service was a nice chance to try different teas. Pick up and drop off service is very helpful. Very good value for money.

Yun our guide was amazing, she was so knowledgeable of the gardens and was friendly and polite. I would recommend anyone to do this tour the gardens were busy but Yun managed to find quite spots and took our photos. The tea taste was an enjoyable experience to end the days.

Superb guide

Simply a superb experience. Our tour guide, Wing, had excellent command of English language. From start to finish, she was easy to understand and looked after us. She made the tour interesting by explaining the history of Shanghai city and the homeowner of the gardens. Tea tasting activity was fun for the whole family including our 11 year old son.

Wonderful tour with Wing - Yu Garden & Old Town

We had a fantastic tour of Yu Garden and Shanghai’s Old Town with Wing. She was a wonderful guide - friendly, knowledgeable and very easy to spend the day with. Wing gave us lots of interesting information about the history and culture of the area, but also made the tour feel relaxed and personal. We particularly enjoyed the tea tasting, which was a lovely experience and gave us the chance to try and learn about different Chinese teas. Yu Garden and the Old Town were beautiful, and Wing did a great job of showing us the highlights. She was happy to answer all our questions and made sure we were comfortable throughout the tour. Yu Garden and Tea

My guide Sunni met me at the hotel and we headed off to Old Town to see the shops and visit Yu Garden. The Qing dynasty garden is an amazing collection of pond, pavilions and bonsai, I spent a short time there but you easily spend hours, it does get crowded. We went and had a tea tasting in old town, Sunni’s family has a tea plantation and she was in the know on types and preparation. Highly recommend this tour.
