What are people saying about Buenos Aires

Great!
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, intimate, and genuinely welcoming. It’s a small class, which makes a huge difference—you’re not just watching, you’re actually part of the experience. The host created such a relaxed environment that it felt more like being invited into someone’s home than attending a formal class.
Learning how to make empanadas from scratch was both fun and surprisingly approachable. We got hands-on with every step, from preparing the filling to folding the dough, and picked up tips that I’ll definitely use again. It was especially interesting to learn about the different regional styles and traditions behind them.
The wine pairing aspect elevated everything. Each empanada was thoughtfully matched with a local Argentine wine, and the explanations were clear, engaging, and never overwhelming. It gave me a whole new appreciation for how flavors can complement each other.
What really made this experience stand out was the personal touch. The group was small enough to have real conversations, ask questions, and share a lot of laughs along the way. By the end, it felt like we’d spent the evening with friends rather than in a class.
If you’re looking for something authentic, interactive, and a little more intimate than the typical tourist activity, I can’t recommend this enough. It’s the perfect blend of great food, excellent wine, and genuine connection.

Best cooking class in Argentina!
I highly recommend this Argentine Experience This was such a fun way to experience Argentina’s amazing food. Everyone enjoyed tapas and an aperitif before starting the cooking lessons. We all participated in making empanadas and chipas and enjoyed learning tips and secrets to cooking beef tenderloin. We all enjoyed a beautifully cooked steak with potatoes and a fresh salad. Delicious meal was complete with an amazing flan dessert. Many thanks to Juan and Agustine for being such welcoming hosts and teachers. The wines complemented the meal perfectly too. We were all given a recipe booklet to take home as a special souvenir to remember the fun afternoon.

Love cooking classes! ...
Love cooking classes! This was no different. Learned to make Empanadas and Alfajores. Great combination. The host was very helpful and very clear in his directions as well as hands on. Both easy to make and I look forward ti making them when I get home. Book it and then look at all the offerings with Signature Tours. They provide lots of great tours.

Once Was Not Enough....
When we found out we would visit Buenos Aires again after 7 years, we immediately sought out Pachamama for a repeat indoctrination to Argentinean cooking. It was that fun, instructive, and delicious.
From hosting this cooking experience in his apartment in 2019 to the new dedicated storefront location in the quiet Las Canitas neighborhood of BA's Palermo district, it was quite a transformation. However, the expertise, flow, and efficiency of the class remained remarkable. Now with two assistants, Franco entertained us for three hours through a full four-course meal which we actually prepared for ourselves. Everyone participated in a meaningful way. Even with seemingly complicated dishes, one had the feeling that there was hope you could re-create each item in your own home. You will come away with pictures, recipes, and good friends from around the world. And you will not need to eat dinner....

Fun for all
We had an awesome time making empanadas and alfajores. Both were delicious! As a group we made both beef and vegetable empanadas. The time flew by as we chatted with the other people on the tour (6 people total). It was our first cooking class tour, but won't be our last.

Laid back fun Tango lesson with wine and more.
Catalina was in touch before the class to check we had all the information we needed.
We were a small group (6of us) in a dance studio set above a bar in central BA.
Catalina was lovely, she was unhurried and put us all at ease before teaching us the tango, from how the locals dance to the traditional tango. What can you do in one session but amazingly we were all dancing tango around the room by the end of the session.
Then we sat, ate some empanadas and drank 2 sorts of wine, and just chatted about life, Buenos Aires and dancing.
It was very special. We would definitely recommend this experience.

Great fun and delicious food
Great evening with delicious food. Stefano, Valentina and Laiura were terrific hosts and we met fellow travellers as well as preparing and eating delicious food (but don’t worry - you only help prepare a small amount of total food and it is fun). Walter the chef prepares the most delicious steak and side dishes and the wine pairings were fantastic. We had a lot of fun learning about regional food. A really fun evening

Don't assume you know
If you have never had or do not know what Mate is in the Argentinian culture, this class is for you. I was able to learn how to prepare a Mate pot correctly and understand the social "norms" around sharing one. It is not as straightforward as you might think! Thank you for a wonderful class.

Empanadas it is
Empanadas are very where in Buenos Aires and it seems only right to learn how to make them as well as enjoy eating them. Add to this tasting some quality Argentinian wine and I can honestly say it is a great way to fill an afternoon. When travelling it’s always good to have a few fun activities to enhance the experience

Great tour, even in the pouring rain!
This was such a great activity, even in the pouring rain! Pablo was an amazing and very prepared host. We didn't have the option to reschedule, even though it was raining all day, because we were leaving for the United States in a couple of days and had no availability to switch days and time. Pablo was so prepared! He brought us both umbrellas and the tour went on as planned! It ended up just being two of us and we had a ball with Pablo. He told us a lot about the history of Buenos Aires, we had amazing wine, delicious food, and the best gelato at the end. Everything was perfect! He waited for us at the end until our Uber arrived. I absolutely recommend this tour and if you can get Pablo, you'll definitely learn a lot and enjoy yourself! 10/10!!

A Culinary Journey in Buenos Aires!
My recent cooking class in Buenos Aires was a highlight of my trip! It was a warm intimate environment. Tomás was knowledgeable about Argentine cuisine and shared insights into the culture and history behind each dish.
We learned to prepare traditional empanadas and alfajores cookies, and the hands-on experience was exactly what I was hoping for. Everything was perfectly organized, with fresh ingredients and clear, easy-to-follow instructions. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and it was great to interact with fellow travelers who shared a passion for food. And the best part? Enjoying the delicious food we had prepared together at the end, paired with some excellent local wine. I left with a full stomach, new skills, and wonderful memories. If you're looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience in Buenos Aires, this cooking class is an absolute must-do!
