important information
the tour itself was EXCELLENT and tess was a wonderful tour guide.
but if you book this, contact radventures directly to order lunch and rent equipment like snowshoes and skates. you cannot do these things through viator and you cannot do them after you've left. but there's no place on the tour to get lunch. either bring your own or order directly through the tour company.

Wonderful tour! Rob was...
Wonderful tour! Rob was friendly and knowledgeable about a lot of history in the area. We saw so much and had plenty of time at each stop to take photos, take in the views and just be one with nature. Highly recommend this tour.

Totally worth the money
This is an awesome experience. They are always responsive, on time, door to door service. Good and clean vehicle. Totally worth the money.

Excellent tour shady company email
The excursion is great, our guide he was wonderful. The lake had plenty of bubbles and was nicely frozen over. All the stops were beautiful.
My only complaint is it literally says in the viator page contact RAD for ice skate rentals. I literally did several days before and was met with a, oh you booked with viator we can’t rent you skates but if you cancel with viator and rebook with us you can then rent skates. So basically was being told cancel, rebook so we don’t have to pay Viator anything and then we’ll let you rent skates. Seemed like shady way for them to avoid paying Viator a booking fee, if you don’t honor what it says on Viator don’t be on here on the first place. I kept my Viator booking and simply walked on the lake. We considered renting in town and brining them ourselves but opted just to walk on the lake. Again let this take nothing away from the tour and the guide but the office is trying to avoid viator bookings.

Top spots in Banff
Moraine Lake and Peyto Lake were the 2 top things on my “to do” list for this vacation. They lived up to all expectations. Spectacular. Caroline and Jerome were knowledgeable and helpful.

Excellent Tour
This tour was amazing. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and on time. We had plenty of time to enjoy each stop and one stop was more gorgeous than the next. The bus was clean and had lots of room. The sites were incredible. I cannot recommend this tour strongly enough.

Amazing trip
What a great way to see the best lakes & views of Banff. Our tour guide, Robbie, was so knowledgeable, personable & knew just where to take us to see the best sites. Having a small group allowed us to move on quicker to the next great spot. And it was a big plus having someone do the driving for you. Highly recommend!

Great experience to see...
Great experience to see so many lakes, drive on the Icefield Parkway and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Rob was a great guide, pointing out facts and history. We had plenty of time to take pictures and walk around at different sites. Lake Louise is beautiful and probably draws most tourists along with Moraine Lake, but Bow Lake, Peyto Lake and others we think were equally as beautiful.

Recommend this tour!
Long day but it was a good way to see some beautiful glacial lakes. We had gorgeous weather, so that helped.

Saw the best lakes, lake...
Saw the best lakes, lake Louise, morraine, bow lake, peyto lake, minnewashka, glacier parkway. I thought lunch was included in the price but they drop you off at a place to eat lots of options but not much time. Was great to be dropped off right at the parking lot.

Banff van tour
Gentle hikes, local tour guide, stunning views. We enjoyed Robby’s relaxed and knowledgeable tour! He had lots of great information about the history, nature and stories of other tours in other seasons and other areas. He has lots of experience and I felt very safe and comfortable. .

When to visit

Peyto Lake is a must for first-time visitors to the Icefields Parkway and Canada’s Rocky Mountain parks.
It’s about a 10-minute walk from the parking lot to the lookout point.
There is a washroom facility near the parking lot.
There is a drop-off point closer to the viewing platform (via a short, level path). Follow the signs for tour buses and limited mobility access.
