Excellent Service!

Joaquin is a very knowledgeable and very nice person. My husband and I booked he Furnas tour at last minute after our tour group did not included the Furnas Tour during our one week in Azores. Joaquin arrived out hotel early our pick up time and waiting for us. We like his on time! The lunch was great local food! His car is very clean.

The tour guide Paolo was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and personable and we got lucky it was a very small group. Outstanding experience at the thermal baths. Place was clean relaxing and the ambiance at night was perfect.

Best East Sao Miguel Highlights

Great way to spend a day with some interesting highlights. Tea plantation was a good location for a glimpse of the countryside and a chance to grab authentic souvenirs. Furnas was absolutely worth the visit and the traditional lunch delicious. My favourite part was the Botanical Gardens and thermal pools. Recommend this tour, our guide was great!

A beautiful tropical paradise!

The tour was fantastic, Claudia was impressive on her knowledge of the island, whether it be the village or the volcano or just answering my many questions. My favorite was the botanical gardens, beautiful flora. A little wet today, but what’s a bit of rain! It’s tropical and the Azores thrive. Well worth it. Thanks for the day Claudia Nancy

This was a great...

This was a great experience and our tour guide was very kind and knowledgeable about the island. The only downside was that the tea plantation was closed. I feel that we should get some reimbursement due to this as it is an integral part of the tour. However, our guide did bring us to more viewpoints which were majestic and beautiful. Overall, a great day!

Best tour I have ever been on!

This tour is the perfect way to see the eastern part of the island. Very relaxed and beautiful scenery. So nice to get out of the city. Our guide Joaquim was the best and made this experience even more wonderful. He was attentive to questions and conversation to everyone in our group. No rushing at all. Had a lot of inside info since this is his home! Every stop we made was beautiful and the stew was delicious!

Guide really knew his stuff!

Our guide Carlos did an outstanding job. From the moment we met him, he was friendly, personable, and had a lot of knowledge to share. He was also very easy to understand, very accommodating to our needs, and was very prompt. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Carlos as your guide!

The loop trail around Furnas Lake is mostly flat, but uneven terrain and a stream crossing make it impossible for wheelchairs.
The loop trail around the lake takes roughly three hours—bring snacks and drinks.
There are two paid parking lots near the lake—one on the northern side, and the other on the south.
There are picnic tables, toilet facilities, and kayak hire options near the lake.
