We booked the cruise for 6pm. Rocked up ay 5.40 and all the tables were taken! Managed to get two seats right up front though so we had an amazing view once we set off.
There was a good mix of music and tour operator talk throghout. We got 20% off at bar and fish and chips tasty and lovely and hot. Would highly recommend this experience if visiting York!

Good value for money / staff were very pleasant- all and all a lovely peaceful little trip up the river
The boat trip was super and well organised. We thoroughly enjoyed it. And it seemed longer than an hour! Good value.
Didn’t enjoy the Fish & Chips which were chewy, as they had been kept warm.

Fish & Chips part of the ticketing are not passed out or mentioned when boarding or during commentary. Although there was ice in my spirited drink, the bottled beer was warm.
Otherwise the tour was a peaceful way to view the river banks and the outskirts of the city
The fish and chips were excellent. We nearly missed the trip because we spent alomost 30 minutes walking aroung as there was no sigposting of where the embarkation point was anywhere nearby and every local trades person we asked had never heard of King's Staithes

Very relaxing experience and the fish and chips were lovely. We were lucky to be on the boat on a beautify sunny day so it made the experience even more satisfying
This is a must xed experience so not all upassengers are Fish and chips. Get your food early from the bar because of it getting cold.
Staff very friendly and approachable and willing to assist, bar reasonably priced.
We enjoyed the hours cruise along the river, the fish and chips were fresh and hot. Very tasty.
The commentary was informative, and we enjoyed the experience.

It could have been a relaxing hour but the loud music playing made it more like a party boat. When the skipper/guide spoke, which wasn’t very often, she was difficult to understand because of the raised volume and ‘blown’ speakers (at least on the lower deck). We mistakenly thought it would be a learning tour, about York. Not so.
The fish and chips were good.
I really enjoyed it the fish and chips were lovely and just enough, the driver was very informative about the history with added humour. Breakdown added to the experience.

Sadly this trip didn’t go ahead due to flooding but communication from the cruise operator was none existent. This would make me think twice about booking again with them. Refund was swift though.

Fish and chips delicious. Would recommend on a trip to York.
Was a nice cruise just unfortunate for us we had a group of rowdy people on the boat so could not hear a word the captain was saying. Note to self book the lunch cruise fish and chips were soggy as they had been in a hot box but it was a good experience
I bought this as a present for my mum and dad. They were really happy and from the pictures they sent the fish and chips which come with it are of good quality.
Great fish and chips, good bar, friendly staff. Lovely river cruise and the sun shone down on us! Would recomend
Fish and chips arrived just as we were about to set off so was piping hot and delicious. You can also get a drink on board to wash it down. Nice informative cruise up and down the river.
River cruise was great, we had the best weather and the fish and chips were lush. York is a beautiful place.
Trip didn’t happen and wasn’t notified! The River was up but still someone should have texted or called.
Lovely evening boat cruise with the highlight of fish and chips. The concept is a lovely way to spend an evening however more care should be taken to ensure the fish and chips are crisp and fresh. Even though we were one of the first to be served, it was,
all quite lukewarm and soggy by the time it came to the cruise boat.
The staff were really good throughout the cruise giving a clear commentary on the sights.
Sadly I cannot comment on this river trip, it was cancelled due to the river flooding, I have asked for a refund
