The rafting trip and company were great! It was a blast! However, I do NOT recommend booking via Viator. We booked via them, for a 9:30 4 hour raft trip. However, it was actually 11:30 and they don't have a 4 hour trip this time of year. Even though Viator sent a confirmation email. Had to scramble to rearrange the rest of the day. The rafting company tried to accommodate us getting us on a 9:30 but did not have enough room for 4. They also offered a full refund. We went on 11:30 and glad we did as that just changed the entire mood and saved the day. The company has said Viator has made this mistake several times, If you have a reservation via Viator, call the actual tour company to confirm. don't rely on Viator email like I did. I will no longer use them and just book directly. My only recommendation to Adventures on the Gorge, stop working with Viator if they are making these mistakes!

Tour guide Seth made the trip fantastic. Not to mention the breathtaking scenes. It is a must do. There are thrills around every bend with relaxing rest to catch your composure.

This was such a fantastic experience from start to finish. We did the 1/2 day lower new river. Eric was extremely kind and accommodating and our guide Braiden was knowledgeable and was fantastic at helping us navigate the river.
From start to finish we had a great time. I can’t recommend adventures on the gorge enough. If you have options to book adventures on the gorge is the way to go. The bus ride back and hanging with the guides was awesome while we were laughing and talking about our experience with our raft mates.

We had a great time rafting the lower new river. The gorge is beautiful! Our guide, Jared, shared a lot of history with us. The provided lunch was yummy. We felt safe but also had a lot of fun!

Our guide Jason was great on our rafting trip! Adventures on the Gorge was a very clean facility with lots for kids to do. They have a nice pub as well with food and beverages. I would love to stay there on our next trip to WV.

The resort was absolutely beautiful. The instructor Fidge was extremely informative and hilarious. The trip down Lower New River was gorgeous and definitely a check off the bucket. The beer on the bus ride back was definitely a great end to the trip. Being able to purchase the video and have it sent to our home was another plus, along with the offer to hang in the pool once we got back to the resort. They also had bath houses for us to shower/change in once we returned. My family gives this place a 10/10. Hopefully we’ll be back one day to zipline.

Ark is an amazing guide and very knowledgeable. He explained everything so us newbies understood easily and entertained everyone with his jokes!! We had so much fun and are planning on coming back and asking for him again!

It’s an amazing experience with wonderful people and an experienced guide! This includes cliff jumping, number of class V rapids and even swimming through a very safe class I rapid. Definitely recommend this when in WV!
