A pleasant experience, well worthwhile. Expect to see seals, dolphins and pelicans from close-up. Knowledgeable crew, great snacks and drinks, and being out on the ocean provides for a unique experience. The desolation of the desert is visible from a boat on the ocean.

They took us in a small speedboat not a catamaran as stated on the description of the tour, we were 14 people and not enough even standing room for all of us.
We did see lots of seals and a few pelicans and the two crew members on board were pleasant and cheerful. Overall, an ok experience

We saw literally thousands of seals and lots of pelicans. Some of the seals are very cheeky and jump on to the boat for a selfie.
Also saw flamingoes when we were being transported back. The champagne and snacks were also great.

We had some friendly encounters with a pelican, seal and seagulls, and managed to see a whale. We were also served delicious refreshments throughout the cruise.

Very good organisation of our small.trip
Picked up and brought back to our ship.
So many seals from babies to oldies. Flamingoes in the distance and to top it of Jackel. Krystal and Vallem were the best and gave us a variety of food and drink including oysters for thise that wanted them. A simple easy trip but with the guidance of a very knowlegeable captain.

People on the boat were fantastic and very helpful. We really enjoyed the boating experience. The transportation back to ship was disorganized and the ride back, the vehicle lost its brakes and transmission ability which we almost crashed but by the grace of God did not hit another vehicle. Then we sat for almost a half an hour waiting for another vehicle to return us. Left a very sour taste in our mouth after a good boating experience. The other complaint is about the customs and hoops you have to jump through to get into the country of Namibia and pay a fee of $19 a person. Might as well skip that destination on this cruise route from Royal Caribbean. This will be our first let down of Viators which we use all the time. I hope this isnât things to come.

Glad you loved the Dolphin Cruise. This is one of our in house Tours. We sincerely apologize for the mishap with the transport company that we rented in to help move our guests. We will never use them again. All tourism vehicles have to be road worthied every year. CXant understand the mishap. Please accept our apologies. For the Namibian Government we cannot speak , as its out of our control, but the authorities feel that Namibians are charged horrendous vise fees from some countries so Namibia will impose same onto them. Joining instructions from the cruise terminal were poor unfortunately. Once this had been sorted, with the help of some locals, we boarded the cat & headed out from the harbour for the trip. Thereafter experienced everything as outlined on the schedule. Pelicans arrived on-board & were up close! Similarly the seals, who were enticed with fish "treats". Why anyone would try to stroke these wild creatures on board after being warned not to, defies logic, but there you go. Saw pods of dolphins, seal colony & witnessed whale flume. Towards end of excursion had food & drink buffet including fresh oysters. Worth noting that there wasn't any shaded area on board this catamaran; this wasn't an issue for us in this instance, but could be a potential concern given different weather conditions. Overall, very enjoyable excursion & if the joining instructions could be amended/clarified then would give 5 star rating.

It is unclear if you were on the cruise liner? There we meet everyone at our Gazebo and transport them across to the Catamaran with a minibus.
If you were a traveler , we pick you up free of charge at your destination and bring you to the Catamaran. If you came with your own vehicle, then it could be more difficult as we are at the NEW MARINA. Please excuse the new building and not clear instructions. Glad you found us. Humble apologies. We have had tear drop banners made to put along the way and help with the directions. Trust that might help in future. Wishing safe travels. Uwe

Be careful as we were not put on the tour providers list and was sent from one operator to another before one recognised the contact person on the booking and we then had to show our booking and add our names to the list

Overall a good experience, was nice having seals and pelican on board and guide was friendly and informative. We saw seals and shortly one dolphin which were shy though that day. Finger Food was good with oysters, also nice kat with toilet also there.
I need to reduce one star due to not good communication & organization: Pick up was a bit confusing since it was at 08:00 from Swakopmund although it said it starts at 08:00 (clarified via WhatsApp).
We then got there shortly before 09:00 and were told that the tour starts at 10:00 and to wait close to the jetty (quite far from the office). However we waited there until 10:40 since some cruise ship guests were missing (what we found out later only). I would not even have bothered too much, however without any information we just stood there for ourselves (and not others guests). Also, the end was at the same time so I presume the 45-60 minutes was just cut from the tour and we likely would have had more time out to e.g. see dolphins.

Unfortunately there was no coffee and tea in the morning. There was little information about the animals and not enough seats in the boat. In case of bad weather, some guests must stand/sit on the deck. The food was accessible to the people in the boat. Those who sit outside could only go badly. There were not enough champagne glasses for all guests.
