Great trip, friendly guides and drivers, beautiful island. Snorkeling was beautiful, I definitely wouldn’t miss it, and we got lots of great underwater pictures and videos all included! However, keep in mind you’ll have less time to visit sites on land. Our guide on the island was friends with almost everyone and got us to skip the line multiple times.

Really amazing view and unique experience. Our tour guide Cappuccino is really experienced and always helps us find the best spot for photo taking. The view is incredible and the food is quite good too. Definitely worth to visit!

Itinerary

Be ready for an early pickup from your hotel so you can catch the public fast boat from Sanur Beach: After check-in and registration, the journey takes about 30 minutes.

On arrival at the port on Nusa Penida, your private local driver will greet you and escort you to two dramatic rock formations: Broken Beach (Pasih Uug Beach) and Angel’s Billabong. Broken Beach is a perfect circle of cliffs fractured by a sea arch; Angel’s Billabong is a natural infinity pool.

Continue to Kelingking Beach to photograph Nusa Penida’s most-Instagrammed spot, a spine of lush green cliff shearing away to a golden sandy beach.

After a break for an included lunch and a swim among the pristine corals of beautiful Crystal Bay, your chauffeur drops you back at the port in good time for your return boat. Another driver will meet you at Sanur and bring you back to your hotel.

Fantastic day exploring Nusa Penida

We had a wonderful day on this tour, our tour guide Made was incredible, and looked after us from start to finish from pick up to drop off, and communicated the pick up time the evening before. We explored some beautiful must see sights in Nusa Penida and Made took some fabulous photos for us. He was very friendly and had good English and knowledge of the area. We got the slightly earlier fastboat back as 8hrs in the heat was plenty, the time depends on how much you want to spend at each point. Made was not pushy at all and left us at points to give us some free time always letting us know where he would be waiting. The Indonesian lunch was lovely and we saw some monkeys playing in the forest whilst here. The tour is rocky around the island so prepare for some offroading but we found this fun and Made was an excellent and responsible driver. I do not often feel great on fast boats and again he helped us feel like VIPs, sorting all our tickets/passes for us as well as suggesting the top deck for a better experience- totally worth 50kpp in my opinion. We had a wonderful day trip, thankyou Made and all the team it was brilliant and we would 100% reccommend. Thankyou Sophie & Harry xx

Not worth the time or money.

We spent more time waiting around than we actually did on the water. We were picked up at 8 am but didn’t even board the boat until 11. Then we kept riding around back and forth for another hour and a half before we finally got in the water for 20 minutes of snorkeling. After another half hour of riding back and forth, we had another 15 mins in the water, then back to shore. There were no beaches to visit. We were also told that we didn’t have to take pictures, that they would, but we still have not heard anything about them despite my several attempts to contact them. All in all, for a day we were highly anticipating, this was a great disappointed.

No tour was provided. Had to pay for lunch and extra for car service. Upon getting off the boat., left at a restaurant for 2 hours have to purchase food. Was told we would had to walk to tour location. Arrived at 9:30 and was back on the boat by 1200 noon without any tour provided. Feel like I was scammed. Requested a refund thru Vistor and was declined. Would NOT recommend this company at all

Worst tour ever!!!

The tour felt disorganised and chaotic from the outset, with unclear communication regarding key arrangements particularly who would be responsible for picking us up and dropping us off after the tour. The tour was just a bunch of view points that took hours to get into with bumpy roads, the only enjoyable bit was when they left us in the beach for an hour.

Nusa penida is a really stunning island in balli.. I booked the trip in viator and the a driver picked me and my friend at the hotel and dropped off on the sanu hobour and then took the public boat. However the driver who picked up from Nusa penida was really disappointed..He skipped crystal bay. Further, he took few photos of my self and I asked me to write a good review from r him and his team in the trip adviser in front of him to share the photos with me ..I did it as I need my photos...That driver was a real headache for me.

Supergreat and cool guys as guides on the snorkeling tour & car drive to Kelingking throughout the day. And great that they took so many photos and videos (also under water!) which they shared already on the way home the same say. Lunch was simple but the place beautiful and calm - and not too hot. The only minus was that the toilets at the snorkeling office were dirty and most did not work.

Long day, lots of travel time

We did the snorkeling plus driving tour of Nusa Penida. The driving tour really needs the entire day as the island is much bigger than we thought and the beaches are far away (some can be an hour away). Plus driving from our hotel to the Sanur harbor took 45 minutes and the boat to Nusa Penida another 45 minutes. The snorkeling was very fun, lots of fishes, but we were packed with a lot of other people. Lunch was very mediocre and we would have been better off getting some good food on our own. However the staff were very friendly and very accommodating. When we wanted to go back our guide found a boat quickly.

Epic day exploring Nusa Pedina

Highly recommend adding snorkeling to your Nusa Pedina adventure. I was able to see the large Manta Rays, some sea turtles and lots of coral and fish species. Then after lunch went and saw all the other sites listed in package. Goes down in my life adventures as an epic day thanks to Maha and his Uncle at Rukmana Bali for helping make this an awesome day. Highly recommend this tour as one to do while in Bali.

Average it was a good tour but don’t combine any other activities with the island visit in 1 day like with snorkeling. You won’t have time to visit the second spot. Island get me easily congested so be careful not driving scooter by yourself. And be very very with all monkies around, they are very agressive and steel everything in you. My friend got her iPhone stolen.

The ride to Nusa Penida...

The ride to Nusa Penida was eventless - everything was already taken care of. The guide in Nusa Penida was very friendly (although sometimes too friendly) and we could communicate well. He was very helpful with spots to take awesome pictures, and always volunteered to take our pictures. The negative side was that he drove very aggressively, and at one point gave a small bump into the front car during a traffic jam. The problem however was with the driver back in Bali. Although he was already waiting for us when we arrived from Nusa Penida, he waited for us to get onboard his car (which was missing 2 seatbelts) to then go refuel his car. This process took more than 30 minutes, which we would shorten the trip if he had refueled before picking us up. Also, during the usual Traffic Jam on route to Ubud, he kept changing his route, adding close to another hour to our ride time - if he had stuck with just one route, we would have arrived one hour before. At one point he was beginning to light a cigarette INSIDE the car - which then got me very angry and told him that he should not smoke with us in the car - and he accepted. The driver kept 'hitting' on girls on the street during the traffic jam. This driver barely spoke any English, and all communication was very tricky. I would rate the ride to Nusa Penida and the guide in the island 6.5/10, and the driver to the harbor and back 1/10.

Full day experience including transfer to and from hotel, comfortable boat ride to and from Nusa Penida, snorkeling includes boat and equipment, lovely lunch, airconditioned transport to scenic beaches on the island. Roads on island are primitive - lots of large potholes which make the commute not very relaxing

What an amazing day touring and snorkeling in/around Nusa Penida!! The day started with early pickup from the hotel by Sigi (such a friendly and great driver) to the port. Then the boat ride to Nusa Penida, which was so beautiful!! The 4 snorkeling sites around NP were amazing even though the water was a bit too rough for my liking, but gorgeous nonetheless (boat drivers did a great job in handling the choppy water). GD was my driver in NP for the sightseeing portion and my hats off to him - such an excellent driver!! Roads there are insane but he navigated them like a pro and never once had me white knuckling the dashboard, lol. The sights were beyond spectacular - such unbelievable natural beauty!! The port process can be a little daunting/tiring, but it's understandable with the amount of people coming and going - they handle it well. Overall, it was an amazing day, and I'm so glad I went and luckily picked a great day to go - not a drop of rain fell. Highly recommend this tour, which also includes lunch (always a bonus).

Our driver Maha made all the difference in our Nusa Penida experience! We had an excellent time, from the on time pickup to expediting our way through to the snorkeling spots, and caring for our gear, Maha took care of all of our photos and took us to so many gorgeous and iconic spots. The roads were quite rough but Maha saw us safely through. We were well taken care of and would absolutely recommend Maha as your guide for any Bali experiences.

Subpar tour

Communication could have been better as they didn’t respond to our inquiries until late the night before. The day started with a hotel pickup. The driver was friendly but drove dangerously fast on the highway, despite our requests to slow down. Once off the highway, his driving was more reasonable. We waited 50 minutes at the meeting point, though we could have boarded the boat much earlier, wasting valuable time. The boat ride and snorkeling were enjoyable, with the snorkeling being the highlight, though some time was wasted. Lunch was mediocre, and at Angel’s Billabong and Broken Beach, we had only about 5 minutes to explore. The driver rushed people for photos, and while they turned out fine, the experience felt hurried. At Kelingking Beach, we had just 10 minutes due to time wasted earlier. The crowds made it impossible to walk down to the beach. The driver rushed us to catch the ferry, almost leaving without us. The itinerary didn’t match the time allocations, making the trip feel rushed and disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this tour or visiting the overcrowded island with its poor roads.

Tourist Trap

If you went to Nusa Penida six years ago it would’ve been fun. Now it has turned into another tourist trap in Bali. I definitely wouldn’t recommend and you’ll be waiting in lines to take pics as there’s hundreds of people there

A tour with 5,000 other people....

This is our personal, honest review. I will start with the positives: 1. Our Tour Guide on the island was great. 2. The views (when you got to them) were amazing. The negatives : 1. We paid for the snorkelling component and was told by the driver on pick up from the hotel that it was not included. Due to the language barrier it was extremely confusing and we missed out on this big part of our tour. 2. The roads on Nusa Penida are atrocious and given the amount of money generated from Tourism on this island, the local government should be ashamed of themselves. 3. With anywhere from 5000 to 8000 visitors per day - yes you read that correctly, every site you visit is overwhelmingly congested with people. I will not target specific demographics, but many take 100 photos, in 100 different ways, bring tripods, entire wardrobes and are physically pushy even when you are waiting line. All for the famous Instagram/social media shot. Hope this helps.

We went with Rukmana Bali Tours for this Nusa Penida all inclusive trip. Although they contacted me a little bit late a day before, they reselpected the schedule. Driver Angga came to pick us up at 7 am from the hotel in Ubud and took us to Sanur Harbour; we felt safe driving with him on the hectic streets of Bali. We waited for about a half an hour to gather the group for the day at a coffee shop so you can have your breakfast there. Then you take a public speedboat, the ride was comfortable, everybody has seats. In Nusa Penida you have a private tour for the best beaches. Our driver on the island, Kass, went out of his way for the perfect pictures. It may seem a little hurried, but it takes a lot of driving to see the magnificent views of Kelingking beach or Broken beach. Also we had some time at the end for a swim in the ocean, which we gladly appreciated. The restaurant for lunch was really good, you choose something traditional to eat (which was a home cooked, very good, meal) and a drink (ice tea, water or soda). We recommend the chicken satay; we payed extra for desert. At the end, Kass guided us back to the boat, back to Sanur, where Angga took us at the hotel. I personally do recommend them and I loved the time on the tour!

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Zero! We waited for over an hour in front of our hotel with no contact from our driver. When we finally managed to get through, we were informed that our driver was a no-show and a new one would be allocated. Shortly after, we were told to reschedule due to bad weather, even though Google Maps showed sunny conditions in Nusa Penida. When I mentioned leaving negative feedback, I was warned it could complicate the refund process. Ultimately, we had to leave Bali without visiting Nusa Penida, which was incredibly disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and avoid booking with Zero!
