When you are in Thessaloniki, you simply must take the street food to her with Sophia. She is a fabulous host. Who knows everything about the Thessaloniki. Most importantly, she knows where to get the best bougatsa, koulouri, and trigano!
At the end of the tour we had a traditional meal of souvlaki and gyro! Thank you, Sofia -

Our tour was very good. Our guide, Sophia, was smart, fun and very knowledgable about the region. The route was mostly flat but there was a fair amount of walking involved. Some of the streets were cobblestone and therefore, uneven so caution was taken. All in all, it was a great experience.

I had a delightful three hours with Ali’s
We explored areas that I would never have gone to normally and tasted the best of the best food
I also learned a lot about the city which I wasn’t expecting and Akis Was kind enough to take me to a shop where I could buy The best (Tasting and priced) Turkish delight for my daughter

A must do in Thessaloniki. The hours my daughter and I spent were memorable. Ms. Anastasia was very generous in explaining whatever we asked about and we had a good amount of knowledge about the city, it's history and traditions. She has a very nice character.
The places we went to and the food we had were very enjoyable!! We became to know
and tried several new things and greek traditions.

Sophie was an excellent tour guide, and i had a great time despite being the only person on the tour!
She expertly navigated us through the streets of Thessaloniki to some of the tasiest spots in town. She explained the multiple cultural influences in the city on the food, markets, and architecture, and gave some background on the different neighborhoods in the city. I did this tour on the tail end of my trip, but it would be a great way to start your trip off and learn the lay of the city.
Obviously the food was amazing, you get to try ~5 local specialties (including coffee) which are all so tasty. I was so full that I didn't need to eat anything for the rest of the day! Don't eat anything before this tour, and you're guaranteed to have a great time.

This food tour was really amazing. I don’t ever do food tours and Sophie was really great. I was lucky on this day to have just me on the tour and was able to ask so many questions, which Sophie was a wealth of knowledge. There was so much I did not know. This tour is like walking around in Thessaloniki with a friend who knows the best places to buy food and can tell you everything you want to know about the city. I am very happy that I booked this tour and I recommend it to everybody. The only thing to keep in mind is to arrive hungry!!! Thank you very much for the insightful tour and all the excellent food! Was an awesome experience. Leo was a super cool guide. We learned a ton about architecture and the history of Thessaloniki. We tried a bunch of different foods with some extras for later. We’ve done a lot of food tours and this one we were at long about the whole next day.

They don't understand how to deal with cruise passengers. We repeatedly told the guide the when the cruise was leaving. They kept saying it was ok. At the end we ended up running back to the port and had to miss the last stop and couldn't finish the 2nd to last. The guide spend way too much time walking around for nothing. He brought us to stores, we stood in front and he talked about how amazing it is, then walked on. In the end, we ate at standard places, nothing different and ignored the more unique places of Thessaloniki.

To continue on your comments, i will remind you that you where not alone (we had another couple with you at the same time from the cruise) - meaning the that if you are fast and they are slow we have to cope with each other's pace. In any case we apologise if you were frustrated about the time - sometimes with mixed groups this can happen though.
The places we stop at are not standard & you can see the previous reviews and confirm that. If you expected some luxury meals, then certainly this is not the tour that offers that. We offer genuine Greek food, and we take you to places that we also go. Just like our friends.

This tour was amazing! Akis was our guide - he was punctual, so knowledgeable, kind, friendly and very easy to talk to. It didn’t take long before he felt like an old friend. My Mom and I tried Greek street food for the first time and it was excellent! He patiently answered all of our questions and gave us tips on how to navigate the city. We highly recommend this incredible experience- make sure you ask for Akis! :)

This tour was easy to book and the company provided easy meeting instructions and contact information. Our guide, Leo, was knowledgeable about both the food and the history of Thessaloniki having grown up in the area. We tried delicious local street food including multiple bougataa, local coffee, and a lamb and pork dish similar to a meatball among other delights. Additionally we walked around the historic district of Thessaloniki and saw a variety of its food halls. The tour was a great experience!
