This was a fabulous food tour. Panos was very knowledgeable not just about Greek and international cuisine but also about the history of Thessaloniki. The tour was well paced and the food thoughtfully spaced and ordered. A great tour if you love food but also want to combine it with some history.

Fantastic tour – 10/10! This was so much more than a food tour. Not only do you get to try delicious & interesting local dishes, but Panos also weaves in rich historical & sociological context that makes everything come alive. As a chef, he brings unique insight into the food and culture, and over the course of 4 hours you get to explore different neighborhoods at a perfect pace. He’s friendly, inclusive, knowledgeable, and his passion for Greek food is contagious. Highly recommend!

Great tour blending delicious food and interesting history. We've been on many food tours in different countries and this was one of the best. The food is great, but mostly it's Panagiotis... he makes the tour a step above. From what I read and what we experienced, it seems the tour contents must change from tour to tour... if we could, we'd be happy take it again and see where the day takes us!

Today was an amazing experience of Thessaloniki, the food and the history of the city and area. The food was absolutely incredible, and even better because of all the stories and information behind it. Between the food stops we have been learning about the history of Thessaloniki. The guide is extremely well knowledged about all the history and really knows how to entertain multiple people in a group. Also the guide was very flexible for all of us (with food preferences).

Lot’s of walking, but no hills or steps. Did not get to sample as many food or beverage items as we have had on other food tours. Our guide went into great detail on the history of Thessaloniki.

Food is food, of course, but with Panos --a Thessaloniki native, chef, historian and excellent storyteller-- it is so much more. I had the pleasure of joining him on a long and and exploration of his home city, where I cam to understand that food is culture, food is geography, food is society, history, current events...and let's not forget absolutely delicious. This was the best decision we made on our trip to Thessaloniki!
It is a must if you are in town and want to not only eat some of the best food in the region but also learn a lot about this history of the city and how it developed over time.
We will do this tour over and over again if we are back.

Panos is incredible! He has crafted this wonderful tour from markets, restaurants, cafes and shops that he has known and used throughout his life and career as a chef. You get to try wonderful Greek foods, as well as learn about the culture. Panos is knowledgeable and hospitable, truly the best. I booked this tour solo, and Panos made me feel at ease in the group. I ended up making some lovely friends. I recommend booking this tour in the first part of your visit, as you will get additional recommendations and ideas for the rest of your stay. I would book this tour again if I am ever in Thessaloniki!

My daughter and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Panos was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city and the cuisine at each stop.
