We had a private tour. We met our guide about 1/2 mile from the port. There is a lot of walking…wear comfortable shoes. Our guide did a great job showing us different parts of Thessaloniki.

Considering that it was Easter Sunday the schedule was challenging for what the activities we typically enjoy since many were closed. That’s our fault for not thinking ahead.
Our guide also had the challenge of following up our tour fromthe afternoon before which was great but more shopping, sightseeing, and food & drink tasting.
That sad, George did a remarkable job of filling our day with many activities that we could only have done on Easter Sunday.
We got to step into a couple Easter church services that were a real blessing for us. We found a great coffee shop in the afternoon that was delicious.
George was very knowledgeable about historical sites and smoothly paced us through many of the different period of Thessaloni history. We didn’t repeat anything from the day before and the tour - timing considered - was absolutely perfect.
George was timely in meeting us. Flexible with our schedule. Very gracious. Worked very hard to make the trip special.
We highly recommend this activity and George is a great asset to customizing the tour for you.

This a wonderful tour and Margarita made it even better. We walked for hours, capturing the best viewing points of Thessaloniki. Rita also took us to one of the best-tasting food places in the city.

I had a 4 hour walking tour because I wanted to take my time and not feel rushed. It was a wonderful tour with George. We visited all the sites, walked along the sea coast, and had time for lunch. I was able to see all the important places and hear an extensive history of each one. There was also time for pictures. I would recommend this tour. It is well worth the time and this is money well spent.

Our guide was nice, but should not be a guide. Her English was weak, and she was not able to relay the significance of the sites we were walking past. With only half a day in Thessaloniki, we regret not doing the $6 self guided tour instead of the $150 “local guide”. By contrast, we did a “with locals” tour in Skopje which was excellent.

My dad and I had an absolutely fantastic time with Giannis! He showed us parts of the city we never would have known to explore otherwise and gave us a truly local perspective on this wonderful town. We would do a tour with him again a thousand times over!

We had been in Thessaloniki for a week and seen a lot of places but didn’t know anything about them. We took a three hour with our guide, Tasos who not only educated us but took us to some “off the beaten path” places and gave some great advice on where to go and what to eat. Thanks!

We had a nice tour and got to meet a very nice local man. Only criticism is I wish he would have put together an itinerary for us beforehand. He did ask us what sites we wanted to see so it would have flowed better.
