A truly wonderful day spent on Makis’ sailboat. The program was very extensive, from swimming in a blue lagoon to eating an amazing and homemade meal with fresh products.
Makis creates a pleasant and friendly environment, and his comments on the itinerary are very relevant.
We loved this day, and could not recommend it enough for other travelers. A great way to celebrate together, or even just enjoy a peaceful day.
PS : be careful to bring enough suncream, the sun hits harder than it looks.

We had such a wonderful time on Makis’ boat. It was the last trip before the close of the season and he did everything possible to make it enjoyable for us. The water and the beach were both beautiful even though it was cold that time of year. We’re so grateful for this experience.

That the excursion although it is branded as a Thessaloniki excursion actually starts ONE HOUR away from Thessaloniki

Nea Michaniona is a suburb of Thessaloniki. It is served by public transport. You are trying to find an excuse because you missing the cruise after I changed the date for you for better weather and sent you the meeting point twice. You did not read the information about the cruise at all and are trying to find faults in others instead of taking responsibility for your own. You can't write a review about the cruise because you didn't travel with me. Please read the reviews I have so far.

The sailboat experience was made special by Matis the owner of a 46' Hunter sailboat. Matis also prepared a wonderful meal with the freshest vegetables and meat...wine and all! Swimming in the clean Aegean Sea. Matis also arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the cruise ship and was waiting to bring us back upon arrival to the dock. We highly recommend!!

Important to know: the port where it starts is around 40 km outside of Thessaloniki. Makis can organise transport though.

Fantastic trip! A relaxed cruise along the coast to the shipwreck with plenty of time to snorkel. Amazing fresh cooked lunch with wine and company. Appreciate the small group vibe which adds the personal touch.
Beautiful boat and captain / owner was very informative and made sure everyone was comfortable and catered for.
We will surely also try the sunset trip.

We had a great time with Mikas on this sailing trip. He was so warm and friendly. The boat was clean and comfortable. It was so fun to meet the other people on this excursion. And the food he made for us was incredible. Overall, a great experience.
The only thing to note, that I definitely didn’t pay attention to, is that this is about. 45 minute car/taxi ride outside of the cruise port terminal in Thessaloniki. But still totally worth it!

Slow, relaxing yacht with a small group of people. You get to swim and snorkel...and we saw dophins. Food is delicious cooked on board, fresh and delightful. The white wine was lovely too. We would highly recommend the trip.

What an incredible experience! My husband and I were traveling for a wedding to Greece and wanted to make the most of our time abroad. We truly enjoyed our sailing expedience from start to finish! Our wonderful captain even helped us arrange a pick up and drop off from our hotel in the city center. His hospitality, cooking and passion for his country and work was palpable. He fostered a warm and inviting atmosphere on the boat and we loved having the opportunity to meet other tourists from various countries. The amount of time on the sail, swimming and eating was perfect. We enjoyed the sun, sea and made it back in time for a rest and a return to city life in the evening. After spending 10 days in Greece, I still think our captains homemade stuffed grape leaves were the best we had our entire trip! My husband, and avid gardener enjoyed the home grown salad that was provided as well. This experience was a true highlight of our holiday. We look forward to sailing again!

A nice and relaxing day at the sea! You have to swim from the boat to the beach, and for that part you need to be a decent swimmer or he will give you a lifejacket. Nice food, nice water, nice beach!

The sailing cruise was a remarkable experience! Sailing was comfortable and very peaceful. The shipwreck was a neat experience. After exploring the waters we boarded the boat and was greeted with the most amazing home cooked lunch! Makis went above and beyond with making sure we had transportation to the port, food in our belly and memories to last a lifetime. (He sent us the photos he took while we were in the water!)

Great day out and great hospitality! Last year we went on the sunset sailing cruise and we were back for the half day this year. Makis and Nikos were great company and we had the boat to ourselves. Would highly recommend! Lovely lunch as well.

Nice tour with skipper Marki to shipwreck beach. We had the possibility to swim and snorkel near the beach while the skipper was preparing a Greek lunch for us. It was excellent.
A trip to recommend for a reasonable price. We were a party of five and booked a private tour, but to our surprise there was another couple on the boat. So semi-private in the end, but with nice people. So make sure that the boat is not filled up with other guest. 4 - 6 people is ideal for the size of the sailing yacht.

We had a fabulous time on board with Makis and his first mate. The boat was beautiful, the snorkeling at the shipwreck was great, and the meal was yummy. It was a nice relaxing day and a great way to take in the Agean Sea. We even saw dolphins on the return.

We had a great time! Makis was a great host, he arranged transport to and from the hotel for us. The food was freshly prepared and it was lovely. The blue clear sea made the experience an unforgettable one. Highly recommended :)

Makis and his crewman were great. They even got my reluctant daughter to give the swing from the mast a try. Food was great, and the beach was amazing. Highly recommend it.

The food was exceptional! The swimming and diving off the boat was so much fun. Make sure to bring “waterproof” sunscreen and apply liberally. I got burned up but it was worth it for the trip!

It’s about an hour and 15 minutes ride out to the shipwreck by the beach coast. you have to be a decent swimmer – or he has lifejackets because you have to swim about a quarter of a mile to shore and then walk down to explore the shipwreck. The time to enjoy the shipwreck did feel rushed as it only was about an hour of time to swim and enjoy the shipwreck. I would encourage him to give two hours before he has people come back for lunch(this is the reason I left four stars ) His lunch was amazing and he did great at accommodating vegetarians! Felt completely safe and have a great communication leading up to the trip. It would be good if he could have a little more information to share about the shipwreck or interesting facts about his area in Greece.

I said so many things about Michaniona and the shipwreck that you probably wouldn't have noticed. The food for the vegetarians, I do voluntary. It's not in the menu. We took a taxi from Thessaloniki (Kalamaria), and in apx. 40 min, myself, my mom and my two children (11&13y.o) arrived to Nea Michaniona (the cruise’s meeting point). Our captain Makis greeted and helped us to get into the boat. There were another passengers (total 8 people with us plus our first mate Pavlos who was preparing the boat to the departure. In no time we were sailing out into Aegean Sea. Latter, cute dolphins joined us, and when we arrived to the Shipwreck Bay all of us were ego to jump into the clear waters. My 72 years old mom does not swim well so the captain gave her a foam board (typical for beginners swim lessons), so she paddled with it to the beach. All your possessions were left on the boat, so don’t forget to put some waterproof sun protection before you leave the ship. And, prepare your waterproof cameras/covers to film underwater!
We did swim around the shipwreck, enjoyed the sandy beach, and when the captain rang the bell, we all got back for his homemade lunch and a sweet wine/lemonade. To complement our happiness (especially of my children) captan Makis arranged rope- jump from the boat. One by one, we jumped from the boat into the sea- it was so much fun!!! We arrived back to the Nea Michaniona around 5pm. Our new friends arranged a minivan for themselves, but us -we walked to explore some local coffee places and after some snacks and drinks, I call for a taxi. What a wonderful day! Thank you captain Makis and mate Pavlos!!!
