Overview
The Kepler Track is one of New Zealand’s Great Walks, running from the shores of Lake Te Anau to Lake Manapouri and back via majestic alpine vistas. Start your trek off with this private water taxi across Lake Te Anau to Brod Bay. From there, stroll back to Te Anau along the lake’s limestone bluffs or, for more of a challenge, hike up Mount Luxmore, a summit with impressive views of Te Anau basin.

Very good experience. Boat driver was very friendly and on time. Strongly suggest booking beforehand as boat can only take 15 max and will quickly fill up.

Great Service but would have liked to have had more options for those looking to hike up to Luxmore hut and back.

Steep track but great scenic views on the water taxi and on the mountain.

Great taxi service to access hiking trails. Trail to left along lake flat and easy, taking 2 1/2-3 hours at leisurely pace, returning to Te Anau

I was charged 52nzd, instead of 32nzd on my final price, because of an absurd conversion rate, that was never mentioned during purchase. Very misleading… Travel itself was quick and ok.

Nice ride across the lake to Brod Beach from Te Anau with a friendly captain. Boat made a second trip to pick up me and a boat load of others so we left about 9:15 rather than the advertised 8:30. NP for me since I was hiking to Rainbow Reach. Even though I was prepaid and the 1st one at the dock I was not on the captain's list so was not allowed on the 8:30 trip, probably either because I didn't book until about 4pm the previous day or because I booked via Viator rather than the trip provider. Would be best if better track was able to be made of qty of bookings because it would have been discouraging if I was trying to hike to Luxmont & back by 4:30pm

Great way to get to Brod Bay and back. Recommended to be there a few minutes earlier. I liked that you could pay by credit card and hop on spontaneously. The only thing I missed was a timetable/schedule/sign at Brod Bay confirming the water taxi times, but the lady on the phone was very helpful, so was the lady captain. Totally enjoyed and would do again!

The wind was intense so the water was very choppy and this water taxi ride was more thrilling than expected. Captain was excellent! Recommend making reservations ahead as taxi was full at our crossing and several people had to wait an hour for next ride to Kepler Trail. Great way to start a magnificent 10k hike.

Booked in advance on what turned out to be a horrible morning weather wise. Boat was lovely and warm and protected passengers from the elements. Journey was great and driver professional and informative. Fortunately weather cleared up and we had a great walk back to Te Anau.
