We booked the trip for 6 people which was $750 and we got there at 9 am and the owner told us he did not have time to find enough staff to take us on the trip. We told him he should have let us know to which he responded “what, so do you want me to be on my phone all the time? He then proceeded to tell us he would not take any complaints but that he would refund us the money. He told me in 30 mins i would be getting an email from viator with my refund and gave me his phone number for if there were any problems. I never got the refund email and he ignored all my text messages. Now i am $750 out , i hope Viator pulls through and helps me get my money back. I hope he gets banned from Viator for being a scammer.

You arrived 20 minutes late, at a time when the group was ready to leave. You booked a tour after 9 PM the night before for a 9:00 AM tour. The refund was processed according to the standard procedures in the office. You are attacking legal business which is providing high quality tours already 15 years from different accounts on different platforms just because 6 adults couldn’t show up in time to the tour which was booked at night when stuff rest to be capable to provide safe and secure service next day. Despite the delay and your attitude, we offered to adjust your tour so that you could still join the group. It's important to understand that we also need to respect the schedules of all participants, especially those who arrived on time. We did extend the option for you to join the next group at noon, but you declined. We always strive to accommodate our guests to the best of our ability, but it’s crucial that tours are booked within our working hours, allowing enough time for preparation, and that participants arrive on time. We highly recommend to address your questions about your $750 to your bank.

What was supposed to be a 4 hour experience ended up being less than 2.5 hours. Most of the driving is through town streets including paved (heavy traffic) and dirt roads. We arrived at Playa Vieja and were told we could get drinks and relax for a few minutes before taking off. We asked our guide if we could swim there but we were told no, we would go somewhere else. We never went anywhere else. He took us back to where we started. No partial refund or even I’m sorry from the boss. Our guide didn’t speak much English and didn’t care.

However, it seems there may have been a miscommunication during the booking process and shorter tour was booked. In terms of the route, Tamarindo does have a mix of paved and dirt roads, and during high season, there can be traffic in certain areas. We understand that this may have affected the overall duration of your tour. Regarding the stop at Playa Puerto Vieja, we apologize if there was a misunderstanding regarding swimming opportunities. Our guides are typically knowledgeable about the best locations for swimming, and if there was a change in plans, we regret any confusion. We will address this issue with our team to ensure better communication in the future. We sincerely apologize for the language barrier you encountered with your guide. Amazing experience. So much fun I booked it twice!! Everyone was so helpful and they took pictures for us without asking. The views and beaches were beautiful. I will book this again next time.
