Itinerary
Make your way to the Native's Way tour office, located just east of Pacific Park, in front of Hotel La Oveja Negra. Wear closed-toe shoes and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Multiple departure times are available; select preferred time at checkout. Participants must be 16 years old with a valid drivers license to drive the ATVs, otherwise, you must ride as a passenger on the back of a driver.
Meet your guide and listen to a short safety lesson, then get fitted for a helmet and goggles. Learn how to operate the Honda semi-automatic ATV; if it's your first time, the guide will ensure your comfort and confidence before setting off.
Zoom into the tropical forest surrounding Tamarindo and up into the mountains. Keep an eye out for local fauna such as monkeys, iguanas, and bird life. Stop at lookout points along the way for epic views and photo ops.
Return to the tour office at the conclusion of your ATV adventure.

We were told that this would be a nature trip great for wildlife photography. It was not! Is was simply AN ATV ride that went to several beaches. Had I known, I wold have never booked the ride.

Went on a ride with girl friend, booked the trip which leaves at 3:30 for a sunset ride. Very nice tour company with new clean ATV's, not small kids size worn down ATV's like other tours have, these are a big professional Honda 4x4. The only problem with this tour was that my girl friend has never driven ATV before, some part of it requires driving on the main street road with some speeding in the traffic, she was afraid and was driving slow. After we went off the road she couldn't handle it well with a limited time to learn driving it, so we had to stop and leave one ATV behind and I would take her on my ATV. The ride is not that difficult but requires some previous driving off-road skills and fast driving. If your novice at it there is just not enough time to get adjusted or learn to drive because you can miss the sunset and end up driving into the night. She was upset with the rush and giving up her ATV. After some Very dusty road especially driving behind the tour guide, I got a lot of dust to breathe and in my eyes. At the top of the mountain is so peaceful and sunset is gorgeous. We saw monkeys in the distance jumping the trees and sleeping in the tree branches. The overall tour experience is good for a dirt adventure lovers with some adrenaline pumping moments. Keep in mind there is no ocean beach driving at 3:30 tour, just up the mountain all the way. I would suggest this tour for riders with an experience driving ATV or take perhaps morning tour along the beach which should be easier with some more time to learn driving ATV. At the end of the tour, we had a bit of problem getting taxi ride back to the hotel, it was dark already and a taxi couldn't find Us at that location, so we had to wait like 30 minutes and then just went on the street to catch a bypassing taxi.

This tour was so cool!
Off-roading around Tamarindo I saw white face monkeys, iguanas, and all kinds of cool birds. The most impressive part was the view from the lookout point, you could see sooo far, 3 or 4 bays all at the same te. Go at 3:30 to catch the sunset at the end of the tour from up top!
