We were fortunate that the Big Arena was booked so we went to the Dairyu Temple. The building itself was an experience, has a very holy and peaceful feeling. Master and his wife were very accommodating, got us fitted in our Samurai clothing and then taught us the basics of katana handling. I would equate it to a yoga or tai chi experience with a focus on subtle body movement and concentration on the coordination of hand and foot movements. They took lots of photos and videos for us and at the end we were given a certificate of completion for the experience with a wonderful expression of how to carry what we learned with us through our lives. You will not be disappointed.
