When your cruise ship docks in St. Kitts, disembark and meet your tour guide at the entrance to the port.
Begin your tour in the capital city of Basseterre. Stop at Independence Square, the former center of the slave trade on these West Indian Islands. Situated among well-preserved examples of both French and English architecture, this slave market has been repurposed as a beautiful garden planted with native species of flora.
Pay a visit to Romney Manor, home of the Caribelle Batik factory (admission not included). Spend time looking around the factory on your own. Watch local artisans dye sea cotton to serve as the backdrop for traditional batik paintings. The store on site sells the beautiful fabric, as well as other native handicrafts.
Take in the views at Timothy Hill where you can see the merging of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Then enjoy free time to swim and relax at Carambola Beach Club before heading back to your cruise ship at the end of your tour.

It was nice. They met us right outside of the cruise dock. Then walked us to the tour van. Juney was our tour guide. He was great, funny, and helpful taking our family pictures. We wanted to see monkeys and he took us to a beach that had monkeys and good snorkeling. He was good at answering all our questions. I wanted to see a pineapple plant and he would point it out as we drove by. He showed a lipstick plant and showed us how to crush the seed and applied the red powder on his face like blush. Everything they said they would show you they did plus more. He gave us the choice of beach time. He got us back to the ship in plenty of time to do some shopping. Everything was great. We highly recommend this tour.

Lovely tour of the island with lots of stops for photos. The gardens were beautiful. Options to see the forts or relax at the beach. Drivers were courteous and friendly.

Visited Romney Manor beatiful flora and fauna only saw 1 monkey. Took pic at the 400 year old tree. Learned a little about the island and then off to frigate beach. Best beach stop calm water lots of fish for snorkeling. Was able to really be in the water compare to other beach stop due to high wave

To be clear, everyone was friendly and professional. I just didn't find it very interesting, and it wasn't what I thought it would be. We took a tour that included a beach--it turns out the beach portion was just a drive by the tour was to the beach, but not for time spent at the beach. The first part was to an archeological dig of a 15th C rum distillery. Interesting, but there was one bathroom with a pad lock, and a dollar charge to go, which suddenly become 2 for someone after about 5 people paid to go. There were a lot of people hoping to get tipped who were informative, but it wasn't clear if they were officially part of the tour. The Batique store was interesting, in finding out how they did what they did. I had increased respect for a style of clothing I hadn't realized before took that much work to make, but other than that, the entire grounds were just little photo nooks, and shopping opportunities. Then we had the tour with a kind of taxi driver to the beach. It included some interesting realizations as to how St. Kitts was developing and recent investors, but which doesn't feel like an excursion. Of course, the port was just a big shopping place. All in all, I congratulate the people of St Kitts, but I'm not sure I have a feel for what it would be like to actually be there.

I enjoyed this excursion as I had never been to St. Kitts before. The guide gave a lot of good information and answered our questions. I especially liked Romney Manor and would have liked more time there to walk the grounds. The batik shop had excellent items and good prices. We enjoyed the fort which surprised me. It had a large number of photographic exhibits which were very informative so we learned a lot about the history of St. Kitts.

I don't recommend this tour. Tour was supposed to start at 10 and we had to be there at 9:30. We arrived port at 9:25 and no representative. It was unclear where we were to leave from and had to ask three people before we finally found a rep at 9:40. They then asked us to pay more for the tour as they wanted to combine our tour with another because they didn't have enough for both. We had to wait for the bus and ended up leaving at 10:40. We basically went on the other tour and didn't stop at Independence square or the beach. I have no idea where the slave quarters are as there was no explanation of this. It was a taxi tour as the driver dropped us at the batik place and fort and we got no explanation of either. We didn't have time to go to the beach which is what we really wanted.

We enjoyed seeing some of Basseterre and the St Kitts countryside, including Romney Manor and Caribelle Batik. We appreciated the extra time the guide gave us at the Frigate Bay beach.

Really got to see a lot of the island with an excellent guide and good driver. Someone was right there to meet us at right at cruise port as we got off ship. Comfortable bus was waiting. Never had been to St Kitts before so real informative tour with a lot efficiently squeezed into the 3 hours.. We were actually surprised at how good the buffet lunch was. Resturant was attractive and interesting. Staff pleasant as could be. No pressure for shopping.

Although it came as a surprise to us to leave the tour bus after one stop at the batik factory and take a taxi to the beach we did enjoy the tour. The beach was very crowded though there were five cruise ships in, a bit longer at the beach would have been good.

Our cruise included eight ports of call - by far St. Kitts was the most beautiful. I am sure that this was due to the wonderful tour and friendly guide.
Visited the Caribelle Batik and charming Wingfield estate. The beach at South Friar's bay was outstanding - well maintained beach area with a nice restaurant, bar, and clean bathrooms.
I highly recommend this tour.

We scheduled this tour independent of our cruise ship. We had a short delay at the start while waiting for another van to come pick up everyone. The tour itself was informative and the island is beautiful. We enjoyed the gardens around Romney House and the Batik shop very much. At this point we had to switch vans as some folks were going to the beach and some to the fort, while we were headed back to the ship. The tour guides were all very professional and the vans were in great shape and clean.
