The train was too long and it didn’t really show us anything thrilling about the island. The drinks were poor, and the narration was lacking any history or interesting stories. Not worth the effort; was not inexpensive.

Make sure you sit on the left side or the seat at the back of the car that goes across. All water views are on the left. Hard to take pictures on the right side without standing up.

I selected the optio for pickup at hotel, and the driver arrived early and was courteous. We boarded the train early and another couple and us were the only ones sitting in the car. We waited about fifteen minutes for the cruise ship passengers to arrive and they filled the rest of the car. We soon realized you can't see much from the car and asked one of the attendants if we could move up to the top seating. She said no and offered no reason why. When we arrived, nobody seemed to know what to do with those not from the cruise ship. The only food was a tiny little cookie, although there was plenty of drinks.

To clarify, the train experience does not include a full meal. Guests are served a sweet treat along with complimentary drinks, including fruit beverages, rum punch, and daiquiris. Additionally, due to the design and safety regulations of the train cars, guests are not permitted to move between carts or seating levels once assigned.
We regret any confusion upon arrival and appreciate you sharing your experience. We do hope to welcome you back to St. Kitts in the future for an even better experience.

The train was a fun ride. It was a good way to see the countryside and learn some history of St Kitts. We rode in the open air top part of the car, the lower part was enclosed and air conditioned. We were fortunate not to have rain, and the constant breeze kept us comfortable. The beverages served were tasty, and the dancers were an entertaining surprise. The busses to and from the train itsaelf were comfortable and efficient.

Train cars are very rocky. Difficult to take photos and depending on where you sit up stairs, view is not good.

This was a great tour. We saw community life from the van that picked us up from the port and the outer edges of St. Kitts from the train. They were very generous with the rum on the train. The dancers were a nice touch on the train.

Train left very late as it’s dependent on the cruise ship coming in. As they know the cruise ship timetables, this could be better.
Audio isn’t very good for the tour. Service on board was good with attentive and friendly staff. The local dancers looked like they hated their jobs and it didn’t feel authentic. Bus journey at the end was cramped.

We took this from a cruise ship (make sure you're set to get back well before all-aboard time). We ended up having several passengers who booked an excursion through the cruise line with us, so we weren't worried about getting back to the ship on time.
This tour includes a drive to and from the train back to the cruise terminal, which was well organized and very convenient. The train itself was excellent, lots of fun, great views, and complementary drinks and snack. Be sure to sit on the top level!
The train does sway quite a bit since it's a narrow-gauge track, but it's perfectly safe. It was a great way to experience St. Kitts. Everyone felt authentic and lovely! I would highly recommend this tour to friends and family.

We had a great time on the train. It was very bumpy upstairs, but it all added to the experience. The ladies looking after us in our carriage were delightful, and the local dances were fun to watch. We had lovely pina coladas and rum punches. The scenery was breathtaking.

The pick-up was chaotic. The driver said getting back we would need to pay for a cab if yhete is not enough space on the buses of the organisation to get back to Porte Zante. The train was guider by a women using a mic. Would have loved to hear more of the history. It seems you mainly got worth for your money if you drank as much alcoholic all-inn beverages as possible. Which was not my goal of this trip

I didn't know there was almost a 1 hour bus ride to the train, but the driver was an expert tour guide and even sang to us. The scenery was sea and mountains and was beautiful. All kinds of drinks, first one free and island dancers, so a party atmosphere. Open air upper level had a nice sea breeze, so it wasn't hot.

It was a great experience with wonderful moments but there have been to many people at the train. It was really hard for this period of time to sit that close to the neighbor and very inconvenient. During the whole time it was impossible to turn around and take pictures. That was really sad.

Enjoyable multi-transportation way to view the Island. Our driver was very informative and the views on the waybill the train were beautiful. Train was loud and rocked back and forth quite a bit. But the included drinks helped with that. Our server "The G" was amazing at navigating the motion while providing great service.

It’s about a 90 minute train ride that is elevated high above the ground. I liked the unlimited serving of rum drinks. The ride takes you through the countryside. I mostly enjoyed the historical information provided by our ground transportation Shawn. He was very knowledgeable, sprinkled in lots of laughs. It was worth the cost.

This is a brilliant excursion. A bus takes you from the port to the station and then this amazing two level train comes round. Make sure you go on the top deck which is open. You get to look around the island on this amazing ricketty train (it really is Safe – honestly!). What happens then is that lovely ladies come round and ply you with free cocktails – strawberry and mango daquairis, rum punch, the works. What is there not to like!?

Really enjoyed the railway tour, the railway is the best way the see the island. You can’t stage views of paradise. The bus journey does result in quite a bit of a wait (told 8:00 arrival but didn’t leave till around 9:00) and the driver Mr Roger’s is a bit grumpy

Very enjoyable way to see the island, very entertaining. Was really impressed with the dancers that came on board. I recommend sitting upstairs for the best views. The ride isn’t exactly comfortable… really shaky and a lot of swaying.

It depends on the time of visit, cruise ship in operation, solely traveller this had an impact on me taking part in this excursion. This was cancelled a number of times for the above reasons. I was eventually offered a week later but I was ready to go home and was no longer enthusiastic about doing this or any other excursion. The organisers were very helpful, and apologetic but things were beyond their remit.

The Kittitian Scenic Train Experience was such a unique and relaxing way to take in the beauty of the island. The guide on board was incredibly knowledgeable and made the journey both fun and educational. It was wonderful to just sit back, enjoy the views, and learn about the island’s rich history and culture.
The service on the train was excellent—drinks kept coming, and the atmosphere was so enjoyable. But the highlight of the excursion was the bus ride! Our driver/guide was not only extremely knowledgeable but also hilarious. We learned so much about the island, its history, local traditions, and even the native plants and trees.
If you’re looking for a laid-back yet informative way to experience St. Kitts, this tour is a must. Highly recommend!
