Knowledgeable and friendly tour guide made our experience special . It was fun walking through the rainforest canopy and learning about the natural environment and the medicinal value of the many trees and plants.

Excellent guide through a beautiful forest

Leroy was an amazing guide through the forest. We were picked up and taken on a beautiful short drive along the coast to the rainforest. We were the only travelers in his group that day, so a very personal experience. We got to the trailhead early and before many other travelers arrived. We were happy to have him as our guide, so that we could explore the trails safely and respectfully. He was extremely knowledgeable and very fun to listen to. It’s one of mine and my teenage sons’ favorite experiences of our trip.

Leroy our tour guide was amazing… he was patient, articulate, and genuine! He made us all feel safe… even climbing up a 30-40 ft steep slope hanging on to ropes for support!!! He was totally on time. This was ann excellent value for the experience and time spent. Remember to wear sturdy shoes and maybe a bottle of water. He secures your belongings in the cab of his open air truck while on the hike. Have fun, Lorie and Howard

We were greeted at our hotel by Leroy in his open air truck. He was kind, attentive and made our tour very personal assuring everyone had a great time. He was very knowledgeable about the plants and trees and shared the history of the island in a very casual way. We extended our hike with a tour of the island. He acted more like a gracious host than a tour guide. We left feeling very cared for and had a great experience touring the rest of the island. I would highly recommend Leroy to be your guide on this hike or around the island.

I loved being able to see the wild monkeys in the rainforest. Also, the beach at the end with the monkeys and mongoose was cool. I wish we could’ve just snorkel that beach and not the other one we were taken to.

We loved LeRoy and his open air truck was perfect! What a hike! There is a vertical patch that is physically challenging. We did well even though we were a bit out of shape. LeRoy was patient and safe. Make sure to wear the right shoes. The rain Forrest was absolutely beautiful. Perfect way to start our morning.

We had a great experience with Leroy! He conducted the rainforest hike but also was a tour guide as well! He was so knowledgeable and provided a more intimate experience than some of the larger groups we passed in the rainforest! Would highly recommend. We’re young and after reading the reviews I was expecting this hike to be more difficult than it was! 1 steep part at the end of the hike but you can opt out of it if you think it will be too difficult for you.

Leroy, our tour guide was outstanding! The rainforest was nice but we were a bit disappointed we didn't get to see many animals - not under Leroy's control but disappointing. We paid a $40 up charge and he took us up to the top of Timothy Hill and to a beach for snorkeling. It was just my son and I so it was awesome that it was a private tour...luck of the draw I think. Overall an excellent value!

Excellent day out - fun, informative and interesting

This was an excellent trip. Leroy was waiting for us at the port in his open sided truck and off we went. We were the only couple on the trip, so it was just like a private tour. Leroy gave us an excellent commentary as we drove to the rain forest and throughout our walk through the rain forest, he pointed out many plants and trees. He was very knowledgeable and informative and even managed to spot some monkeys for us. After a delicious smoothie, Leroy served us fresh fruit and we were then on our way again to see the meeting point of the Caribbean and Atlantic and more photo opportunities. We then extended the tour to include a beach which was beautiful - and enjoyed a refreshing few hours of swimming and sunbathing. It was a wonderful day out - thank you Leroy for your time and for sharing your knowledge.

We had an amazing time with Leroy! We visited St. Kitts for the first time and he really made this short stay an unforgettable one! He loves and knows St. Kitts really well. We experienced and learnt a lot on his rainforest tour. We were also picked up and were brought back perfectly on time at the cruise port. We especially enjoyed, that his tour is really private. Not the kind of those mass tours organized by cruise ships! Thank you very much Leroy!

Super rainforest hike in St. Kitts

My wife and I signed up for this rainforest hike since we spent much of our time on beaches and water sports in other cruise stops. It rained heavily a few minutes after we got into the open air pickup truck (with a cover) and the car started going. My wife did not feel comfortable continuing the trip and requested the driver to take her back to the port. After dropping her off, two other guests and I continued the trip. The hike was nice but part of the journey was strenuous and required holding onto ropes to climb up. Although the pickup truck's inside door panels were missing along with the outside passenger door, the overall experience was excellent.

Leroy was a great guide, very informative and engaging. He really challenged our hiking skills on the way back down the mountain. He provided a very rustic ride too and from the hike trail. I would highly recommend this and especially Leroy!!!
