We had a wonderful half day with Andrej. We learned about the history of the cities and got a great overview of the area. We also had time to relax with a nice lunch in Trogir. Recommended tour!

The tour was excellent. We had a party of 10 of all ages and Rozana was our guide. Trogir and Split are beautiful. Rozana tailored the tour to our group’s needs and was excellent with the kids. I can’t say enough good things. Don’t think twice. Our driver Boris was also great and the van was comfortable with AC.

Our group of 10 ranging in age from 16 to 64 enjoyed this tour. Rozana was our tour guide and she was knowledgeable and accommodating to our group. We covered a lot of ground in the short time we had ashore from our cruise.

Great tour given by Ivan who was awesome. He had the perfect blend of history, humor, and personal experiences. Highly recommend.

Had such a great experience with Natasha! She was very knowledgeable and very accommodating for my mother’s mobility issues. She took us to Trogir first in order to beat the traffic and get us back to Split in time to see the palace without stressing about missing our ship. Such a great way to see both places in such a limited amount of time. Highly recommend!

If you are lucky to have Ivan as your tour guide, you definitely won’t be disappointed, he’s very knowledgeable of the area and just easy to talk too. Be ready to walk, make sure you are hydrated and enjoy the trip, take some advice from Ivan too of places to go and it will be a great one.

Rozana and our Driver were simply top notch. She was an AMAZING guide with such knowledge and went at our own pace. Our driver was great as well, and we were in a super comfortable Mercedes Sprinter van that accommodated all 9 people

This was a shore excursion for us and we were totally blown away by Marin. He was personable, spoke English very well, knew the history of Split and Croatia in general. Marin was able to answer so many questions for us and wasn’t shy to share his opinions on some historical facts too. We explored a hidden gem and feel like we made a friend in Marin. He gave us more than tour. He gave us an experience we won’t forget and showcased Split in a fashion that makes us want to return for a longer stay and explore Croatia more. Thank you Marin!

Even though the tour started. 1 hour later due to miscommunication of Viator with the local agency, it ended being a great tour. Peter was knowledgeable, genuinely interested in us and the information he provided was interesting to listen to.

This private tour was fantastic. Our driver/guide, Andrej, was very personable and knowledgeable, knew a lot about the area and also asked us questions so we had actual conversation. He was also very accommodating for my grandmother who walks with a cane and made sure to take the routes that would be easiest for her.

We had an unforgettable day exploring Split and Trogir with our private guide. His deep knowledge of the area’s history made every stop meaningful. Trogir, the UNESCO‑protected “Little Venice,” was absolutely magical, and the guide’s storytelling made it even more special. The tour of the Peristyle at Diocletian’s Palace was another standout — such an incredible piece of Roman history. The whole experience was rich, beautiful, and seamless from start to finish. Truly a memorable day thanks to ourcc.

The guide Roxana was the best. Trojir is truly a gem and the walking tour of the Roman palace in Split was great.
Steven_B, May 2026
Marin was excellent. Very informative tour. He takes great photos too. You will learn all about this historic area.

Don’t go if it’s a Sunday because everything was closed. Lunch Brie very pretty but the food was lousy and they never offered soft frinks or coffee. The guide was knowledgeable
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Hi Pam, thank you for a great day and a generous tip you left us later. As we both agreed, this review is for a local restaurant not connected to our agency or tour.
We wrote Viator about it but they did not remove it.
Thank you againcand see you next time

We had a great day with Andrej. He was very knowledgeable and fun, and had a lot of ideas for us for for future ports as well. We would definitely recommend him!

What a perfect day! Our guide Andrej made exploring trogir and split so interesting. He grew up in split, so all the highlights, as well as the “hidden gems” were accompanied by his personal antectdotes! We give him a 10/10, this includes his knowledge/experience/personality/vehicle etc.
Highly recommend this tour. You must choose Andrej!

Our guide Andrej was the best ever. He was very educated, knowledgeable of his city,Split. He was fun, enthusiastic and fit in just like family. He took us to an amazingly delicious local restaurant. His personal touches were greatly appreciated. I would recommend this trip, Split and Trogir have my heart. I definitely will come back to visit and I will make sure I contact Andrej.

Excellent private tour. Our guide took us all over and and gave us the history of all the sites that we saw. We had free time in both places.

Petar was one of the best guides in our worldwide travels. He was knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. He made the Split and Trojir experience super memorable for me and my family.

We had an awesome day with Oliver!! He is super knowledgeable about Trogir and Split!! He was also very flexible when we asked to make different stops. He has a wonderful, positive personality!! Would highly recommend him for a tour!!!

Ivan was the most amazing tour guide! Unbelievably knowledgeable as well as funny and down to earth. He never rushed us and spent more time with us than he had to.
Thomas_P, Oct 2025
Our guide was outstanding. My wife can’t walk far, but we saw all that we could see in the time allotted.
Julie_N, Oct 2025
We had a wonderful personal tour with Andrej. He met us promptly outside our cruise port pier (near the ferry boats) then drove us to Trogir and guided us around before giving us an hour to explore on our own. We then were driven back to Split for a guided tour through the historic sites. The total tour was about 5 hours and then we explored a little more on our own, had a late lunch, and then walked back to our ship.

Excellent day! The destinations were perfect! The water beautiful! The weather was amazing.
Totally recommend.

We toured with Andrej this day, and he did an outstanding job of driving us between locations and then guiding us at each location he visited. Bravo!
I'll try to summarize the day so you can assess whether the itinerary matches what you want to do while you're visiting the area.
1) Pick-up from the cruise ship area is a bit dicey because the area where you're picked up is shared by local taxi drivers trying to sell you their tour, and the unloading road used by passengers of the large ferries traveling the area. Andrej had a sign, and we found him, but I'd suggest his company give him a larger sign with larger letters to make the process easier (i.e. not Andrej's fault). The pick-up spot is at the point where you pass thru the security gate and taxi drivers start to swarm you - stay there.
2) The drive to Trogir was relatively short and pleasant, and we had a good conversation with Andrej, who told us about his job and the area.
3) The old town of Trogir was pretty and interesting - we had plenty of time there to see the sights, have a bite, and have something to drink.
4) We made a few stops on the way back to Split, and they were also interesting historical locations.
5) The Old Town of Split and the Diocletian's Palace were excellent, and Andrej's narrative was excellent as well. We really enjoyed the area.
6) We were tired, so rather and walking around the Old Town further and walking back to the ship, we asked Andrej to bring us back, which he did.
In summary, we avoided the cruise ship swarms of people by heading out to Trogir early, and we had an excellent tour with Andrej.
I can strongly recommend this tour to you as a great way to see the Split / Trogir area.

A very enjoyable and comprehensive tour of Split and Trogir. Andre was very easy to work with and he consistently went the extra mile to make sure our tour was great.
Xiomara_G, Sep 2025
The tour guide was very informative. The sites were breathtaking to see ancient ruins. Silvio was polite and charming
Deb_W, Sep 2025
A very nice day. Our guide was informative and accommodating. Very easy to communicate with him. We loved Trogir Andrej gave us a perfect blend of information and time to wonder around.
Jaima_T, Aug 2025
Our private curated tour with Ivan of Trogir and Split was absolutely exceptional! From start to finish, he made the experience unforgettable with his deep knowledge, warmth, and passion for Croatian history and culture. Walking through the winding streets of Trogir felt like stepping back in time, and every detail was brought to life with fascinating stories and insights we never would have discovered on our own. In Split, exploring hidden corners of the city was a true highlight—Ivan knew all the best spots and even shared local recommendations for food and shopping that made our day extra special.
The pace was perfectly balanced—engaging, relaxed, and tailored to our family’s interests. We truly felt like VIPs on a personalized adventure rather than just tourists passing through. If you are visiting Split or Trogir, do not miss the chance to book this tour—it was the highlight of our trip and we cannot recommend it highly enough!

We gravitate toward private tours rather than the cruise ship offerings. Andrej was very knowledgeable and personable. He was very comfortable with the history of the area and with American culture. By the end of the day he was giving us movie recommendations. We went to beautiful Trogir first (be sure to climb the turret at the far end of the island for some great pictures). It is a beautiful place. We enjoyed some nice coffee in one of the squares and it was then off to the old town in Split. He was constantly finding little nooks to step away from the crowd a bit and tell us about a particular site or historical event. Overall informative and enjoyable. It was a little on the expensive side compared to other things we are doing on this cruise, but the experience and professionalism of the guide was good enough to still warrant a 5-star rating.
