Nice but could have been much better

On the whole a good tour with an exceptional driver/tour guide who went out of his way to assist. What let this tour down were two important things: 1. The tour operator did not know what was included in the tour so we had to ask for certain things which should have been provided......as we paid for them. 2. The highlight of the tour was the winery and wine tasting however the winery did not accept card payments (must have been the only place in croatia not accepting card payments) and only took cash. The tour operator neither informed us of this or even knew about it so we could only buy very limited wine and that was very disappointing. So I would honestly say 'skip' this tour if the same winery is used. I have been for other wine tours in Croatia which were much less expensive and much better.

Hallo Neil, we are really sorry you didn't enjoy the tour. This is usually one of our most booked tours and guests are always very pleased and dissatisfaction with our tours is rarely displayed. The Winery on Pelješac is a traditional one, and as such has a big family business which does not rely on modern technology, that is why they usually do not take cards, also because they work only during the Summer. You were not warned before, assuming that everyone has cash with themselves, and for that we are sorry once again. When it comes to the experience at the winery, there was a misunderstanding, the waiters expected a larger group, that is why you just got the wine (that is usually what they propose to the groups). Following the misunderstanding, the tour operator/driver went immediately to the staff over there and requested other services for you, which you ultimately got in the last place. Once again we are very sorry for the delay on other services in the winery. On behalf of our whole agency, we want to apologize for the inconveniences, and promise they will not reciprocate in the future.
