Absolutely amazing Game of Thrones tour in Split! Mate was an incredible guide and made the entire experience so much fun. His knowledge of the show was seriously impressive, but what made the tour even better was how much he knew about the history of Split and Diocletian’s Palace. He brought the filming locations to life while also giving us a much deeper appreciation for the city itself.
Mate was enthusiastic, engaging, and happy to answer every question we had. You can tell he genuinely loves both Game of Thrones and the history of Split. This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip, and we would absolutely book with him again. Highly recommend!

Hugely enjoyable 2 hours , most of it is inside the Palace so out initial concerns about the 37 degree heat and an 11.30am start didn’t transpire . Our guide Marin was a real character , very funny and he really made the event

Great short tour visiting some of the GOT film sites! Our tour guide, Mate was super knowledgeable on the history of the location and highly likely a super fan of GOT! He was great at showing which scenes were filmed at each location and as a history teacher he also provided historical information of each site. I highly recommend this trip!

Marin was polite, attentive and informative. He made the whole experience a lot of fun, pulling up scenes from GOT when we reached certain areas of the tour to remind me of their significance in the show. He took pics of me when asked. I enjoyed it, and highly recommend

Soooo good. I base all of my excursions and guides to this guide. He was amazing and took good breaks and made sure we were always in the shade. It was a lot of walking but didn't feel like it because it was so engaging.

Mate was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the Game of Thrones show and the book. He was able to explain the differences and provided good history on Diocletians Palace. A must do tour for any GOT fans!!!

Our guide, Marin, was very knowledgeable, humorous, and friendly. We enjoyed all of the highlights around Diocletian’s Palace and how GOT was filmed there for certain parts.

Started on time. Meeting place was easy to find. Tour guide was great. Knowledgeable friendly and took his time to explain everything. Tour took 2 hours. I think it was arranged by gray line tours

See not only many specific locations where scenes of The Game of Thrones were filmed but also historical information of Diocletian’s Palace. Our Guide, Mate, was extremely knowledgeable and articulate.

If you are to visit Split's Diocletian's Palace, then you'd better find a guide like this. Marin was very knowledgeable about different parts of the palace's history. The Game of Thrones portion of the tour did feel a little shorter than I had expected and rushed. Perhaps it's because Split was not as widely used as Dubrovnik in filming. It was still nice to visit the various parts of the palace which the TV series used. Hollywood takes great liberties when it comes to using scenes. The dragon dungeon is about exactly as you would have seen it in the show, but it will look smaller probably due to camera angles or tricks.

You get an in-depth walkthrough of the GOT scenes filmed throughout the Split Old Town HOWEVER it is not a full tour of the cellars - very Game of Thrones focused and you get to nerd out about the books!! MATE (pronounced Ma-teh not mate) was the most enthusiastic and engaging tour guide, and made us feel super energised by the end of the tour. His passion for the subject was infectious and we were tempted to book on to the history tour with him as well!!!

We got our GoT Geek fix while learning about the city. It is a great tour to do on a very hot day as you are indoors for the majority of the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable (both GoT and Split) and friendly and was very much willing to adjust things according to his crowd.

Tour was excellent with some interesting information on both Split and Game of Thrones. Getting to see the basement in the palace as part of the tour was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our guide’s expertise.

Oliver was terrific! First off, he was proud of his job, his city and seemed to have a real passion for the work which was both palpable and contagious. He gave great history facts without being overwhelming, had personal stories as well which I appreciated and inserted GOT facts and pictures throughout the tour. It was good for both GOT fans (my husband) and for those who have never seen a single episode (me). I recommend Oliver and his tour wholeheartedly.
I had issue finding the meeting spot and the tour facilitator was not helpful nor did she care.

This walking tour was educational and fun. Marin showed us each of the locations where Game of Thrones was filmed with video clips of the show while we were at each location. He also shared the historical information about the palace as well. His wit and humor were funny as well. Good value for the cost!

Whether you’re a huge GOT fan or not this is a must tour, especially if you get Mate as your guide. Not only is a he an expert on the GOT , he knows an extensively about the history of split!

The GoT tour was interesting but possibly a little overpriced when compared to some other similar tours.
The guide was very good and had a good knowledge of Croatian history. Her English was very good.
I thought the tour was also a little shorter than expected as when booking it says approximately 2 hours but our tour lasted about 1 hour 30 minutes.
