You get an in-depth walkthrough of the GOT scenes filmed throughout the Split Old Town HOWEVER it is not a full tour of the cellars - very Game of Thrones focused and you get to nerd out about the books!! MATE (pronounced Ma-teh not mate) was the most enthusiastic and engaging tour guide, and made us feel super energised by the end of the tour. His passion for the subject was infectious and we were tempted to book on to the history tour with him as well!!!

We got our GoT Geek fix while learning about the city. It is a great tour to do on a very hot day as you are indoors for the majority of the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable (both GoT and Split) and friendly and was very much willing to adjust things according to his crowd.

Tour was excellent with some interesting information on both Split and Game of Thrones. Getting to see the basement in the palace as part of the tour was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our guide’s expertise.

Oliver was terrific! First off, he was proud of his job, his city and seemed to have a real passion for the work which was both palpable and contagious. He gave great history facts without being overwhelming, had personal stories as well which I appreciated and inserted GOT facts and pictures throughout the tour. It was good for both GOT fans (my husband) and for those who have never seen a single episode (me). I recommend Oliver and his tour wholeheartedly.
I had issue finding the meeting spot and the tour facilitator was not helpful nor did she care.

This walking tour was educational and fun. Marin showed us each of the locations where Game of Thrones was filmed with video clips of the show while we were at each location. He also shared the historical information about the palace as well. His wit and humor were funny as well. Good value for the cost!

Whether you’re a huge GOT fan or not this is a must tour, especially if you get Mate as your guide. Not only is a he an expert on the GOT , he knows an extensively about the history of split!

The GoT tour was interesting but possibly a little overpriced when compared to some other similar tours.
The guide was very good and had a good knowledge of Croatian history. Her English was very good.
I thought the tour was also a little shorter than expected as when booking it says approximately 2 hours but our tour lasted about 1 hour 30 minutes.

Tomi was a great tour guide! Very knowledgable of the city and very comical. We had a great time exploring it the cities history and seeing the sites where Game of Thrones was filmed. He made it even more intricate by playing the scenes that were shot in certain locations and the angle in which they were filmed to get the true experience.

We had a great time on our tour with Mate! He had so many interesting things to share about the history and sites of Split, beyond the GOT sites, which was great since one in our party hasn’t watched the show. He was also kind enough to provide restaurant recommendations for dinner. We appreciated the evening tour option so we could avoid the hottest part of the day.

Workers were very unprofessional, they were fighting outside of the office with customers preventing us from checking in or asking about our trip. This lasted long enough for our group to leave without us and ended up waiting ~25 minutes until they came to get us. Tour guide was rude and asked why we showed up half an hour late to the tour when the situation was made clear. I would book with another company offering this tour as there was nothing unique provided here.

It was perfect! Mate our guide was so knowledgeable about games of thrones and he had videos and pictures. He even had pictures he took himself that we could see in the video like a dented wall. We had the best time and learned about the palace as well. It was perfect timing not too long or short.

We got to see all kinds of cool things, including going into the cellar and walking around the palace. Diocletian’s palace is a bit of a maze, and we saw so much that we didn’t find on our own! Our guide was a little bit pushy - my husband is a game of thrones fan, but I am not. While they looked at videos of scenes, I wandered a few feet away to take photos. I was scolded for not watching the video, but I did not watch the show and therefore didn’t care to watch the videos. I wish our guide would have been a bit more flexible with this.

The guide was informative but unfortunately, he had to deal with torrential rains including thunder and lightning. Most of the tour was underground, so the rain had little impact there, but the street tour walking was not enjoyable and cut short. No fault of the tour guide but we feel that we missed significantly more than what we were able to see.

They canceled less than 24 hrs before we were to have the tour. I ended up paying the $9 to get into the substructure and just went on my own.
