Lovely Day in Split

What a wonderful experience! My friend and I spent the day with our fantastic guide in Split. He was a local and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing insights into the city’s history and the Croatian people. As we explored the city, we made several stops at shops to indulge in sweets, pastries, and local honey. The second part of the tour was a culinary experience at a lovely 5-star hotel kitchen, where we worked with a very handsome head chef. We cooked and enjoyed a delicious lunch that we had helped prepare. This well-paced experience was filled with history, tasty local cuisine, and a wonderful guide who exuded passion and pride for his city. It couldn’t have been more lovely!

Due to delay of cruise ship, my husband and I had a private cooking experience in a hotels kitchen. Staff was fabulous and very friendly and gracious. Tour guide professional, knowledgeable and fun to be with. We learned lots. Viator needs to add PORT to list of pick up areas.

Really fun. My husband and I were lucky and were the only ones in the class. The people in the kitchen became friends. Our guide Rada, who also became a friend, was wonderful too. We enjoyed a lovely sea bass, grilled vegetables, made noodles and dessert dumplings. The walking tour was interesting! We found Rada knows a lot more than other guides.

Amazing, can’t-miss experience - Highly recommend. Our guide was super knowledgeable and showed us a side of the city we wouldn’t have seen on our own. Can’t say enough about the cooking class. The staff and the food were 10/10 - authentic and so friendly.

The walking tour was amazing - small group so much easier to hear and ask questions, we learned about history, modern facts, and the football club! Marin was a great guide! Then to the kitchen to learn and prepare a fantastic meal! Chef Melania was the best, along with Nikola and the rest of the crew!

Best Way to Begin or End your Trip in Split

Our guide, Marin, was fantastic. He brought to life the history of Split but combined it with the modern day life of the people today. We had been on a Split tour before but this one was the best. We loved having a few snacks along the walk and a drink to keep us cool. The best part was the cooking class. It was like being with family. Everyone was very attentive and patient with us. It was well thought out and the ingredients were fresh. This was best fish we had our entire time here in Croatia. Bonus that we made it. The pasta with the seafood was delightful. The most special was the Christmas dessert. We have the recipes and can't wait to try them at home. I highly recommend beginning or ending your trip with this activity.
