Moderate effort hike up to the lake with great views along the way. The path is well prepared, 1.65 miles up and back with around 550’ of elevation gain.
Coach boarding a bit disorganised , due to the late arrival of the guide.

Stunning hike to the Glacier with amazing views. Not too strenuous to walk. Incredible glacier and well worth the visit.
This was an absolute rip off. My first viator experience and this "tour" was just a very expensive bus ride to the free public glacier park. For $100+ per person, there was ZERO added value on the bus and when we got there he said, "see you in 2 hours". You can just take the bus for the same amount of time (and a lot less money) and explore on your own just the same. There's no special area that they take you to. It's already all open to the public and the glacier was absolutely gorgeous and free.
To charge for this is despicable.
On top of this, the guide himself, Denim, made distasteful, uncomfortable sexist remarks and he didn't even help people find the bus. Super disappointed in this entire experience.
Amazing tour, great guide. The hike is a bit strenuous but the payoff to the glacial lake is worth it!
I was traveling with family and friends and this was the highlight of our vacation! The tour guide was friendly and so very helpful!
This tour provided amazing views of the mountains and waterfalls. The hike up to the glacier is gorgeous. Worth it!
The start was somewhat disorganized and we had to walk quite a distance through the town to the public parking lot for the bus. Once they found our bus, we took a scenic ride to our destination. It is an uphill climb so be prepared.
They should get there by themselves.

Fantastic time. Met at the ship . Guide really helpful even trying to help late passengers . Guide was informative the views and stops were breath taking . Would recommend this trip and company 100 percent .
It's a basic transportation to the glacier. Hard to spot the guide at the port because to many buses and they don't have the signs. You need to be mindless for watching the signs on the bus. But moderate hike to a beautiful glacier area.
Must do must see …. Stunning scenery everywhere. A bit of confusion at first but Our guide was fantastic and sorted everything out.
There is a lot of walking. Need to pace yourself. Was a very nice and enjoyable excursion for us. If you have trekking poles, take them.
It is a steep walk and stairs up to the lake and viewpoint of the glacier. So worth it to be up close
Nice hike near the river and beautiful pastas of mountains and waterfalls. Glacier was nice to see and great pics throughout the hike. The hike can be steep at times and is rather strenuous.
Nice hike beautiful day yes we had to re-layer a few times because it was beautiful out absolutely beautiful. It’s a pretty long hike and use some muscles. You have news and ears, but it felt really good and the air was clean and the water was fresh.
The driver and our guide did an excellent job! The hike was great and was beautiful. Would do it again.
The joining instructions for the bus were confusing. The app showed us in the correct place but it was actually a good 10 to 15 minutes walk away. Our bus also had a sign in the window for Gett your guide just to add to the confusion. I think our guide had that removed but it wasn’t a great start.
The experience is basically a coach drive to the glacier and back. Our guide Amy provided us with some helpful information en route.
The bus parks about an hours walk from the glacier. There is a cafe , shop and toilets. If you cannot do the walk there are trolley carts but it is advised to book these in advance.
The walk to the glacier is quite steep in places but it’s well worth it. There are lots of viewing points and photo opportunities on the way. Great scenery.
It’s sad to see how far the glacier has retreated in recent years.
The walk back was quicker.
Ours was a relatively early trip and would advise that as gets busier as the day goes on.

This is rugged country. There is a lovely shop at the beginning of your hike with bathrooms. The hike can get quite steep, only the last part is fairly flat. You do walk independently at your own pace.
This trip was cancelled twice by two different tour operators that I booked through Viator. The second booking was cancelled the evening before!!! They said there was not enough take up. I now know why. They were charging over £300 for 3 people when we got the same deal for £120 by booking with olden experiences directly. Luckily my husband found them online after I was so upset about the possibility of missing out again. No wonder no one was booking. What a rip off. Glad I got a refund and saved money. The glacier hike was amazing and I had money in my pocket to get a coffee !! I would recommend the experience but not through Viator.

Nice tour, well organized, plenty of time at the glacier. Good commentary. The hike to the glacier is moderately strenuous.
Great views of the glacier. The walkway is gravel and does have a pretty good incline there. Wear layers as you will shed some during the day. If you want to take the troll car - order days ahead because there were none available when we got there. The complete hike (to/fro) took us 2 hours with brief stops.
The guide gave us some history but I would have enjoyed more.

Our excursion to the Glacier was perfect! We met our tour operator Elisabet right at the terminal. We took a very comfortable bus to the base of the glacier where we then hiked for about 45 mins to the glacier. The walk was not too strenuous and very beautiful. Elisabet was very knowledgeable and ensured that we had a very enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend this tour with Elisabet!!
Beautiful hike. Be prepared for hills by layering. You will get warm, but up top it’s cold by the glacier.
