The end of March to the end of July is a crucial time in all the floating villages in Siem Reap, as the water levels start to recede and present a unique opportunity for tourists to experience a new perspective. Although the picturesque landscape of the floating community may lose some of its charm during this time, visitors have a chance to immerse themselves in the daily life of the villagers living in the dried season. While some boats may become stuck, and smaller canoes are unable to traverse the jungle forest, these challenges add to the thrill of the experience. The dry season in floating village of Kompong Phluk may not be the ideal time to visit for those seeking postcard-perfect photos, but it offers a chance to witness a facet of the village’s daily life that is not typically seen. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. We recommend visitors to embrace this rare chance to witness a different facet of this incredible destination and truly get a different taste of life in the village.
Dress code: All visitors are not allowed to wear as shorts as you want for this experience. Please make sure that your knees and shoulders are covered.

For small group tour is limited to 14 participants to ensure a more personal experience from our guide.
What should to bring: Insect repellent, sunscreen, sun hat.
For lunch, there is a vegetarian option like fried rice vegetable with eggs and fried spring rolls, but no vegan option.

Mr. Kim was a great guide with an amazing sense of humour! Highly recommend this tour if you want to get immersed in cambodian history, culture and way of life for the locals. This was a great way to see more of the countryside in Cambodia. Be aware that it may take longer than it says based on your group size and how long everyone takes to do everything, plus traffic and other factors beyond the tour’s control. It didn’t really matter to me that it was a bit longer than it said, Mony took good care of us and was very informative. I recommend this if you have a few days in Siem Reap!

Kulen Mountain and Tonal Sap Tour

Action packed from start to finish. Many our guide looked after is all, very informative and passionate about Cambodia taking frequent photos to capture the memories. Our driver Mr Jame kept us hydrated and frequent cold towels after each segment. There are changing rooms at the Waterfall and you need to take some small notes Cambodian money to use these and the toilets. Thoroughly enjoyable and would do this trip again.

Absolutely fantastic trip

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. It covered so much in such a short time. Mr Mony was very fun and incredibly knowledgeable and Mr Jame got us safely to each site. The ruined temple was incredible and a must see when visiting the area. The Kulen mountain spots were beautiful and the visit to Tonle Sap gave a great insight into day to day life in the area. Extra touches such as cold towels, the cake and pineapple and finally the Cambodian scarf made the trip more special. A must do trip! Thank you for a fantastic day.

Jam packed trip, worth it!!

This tour is the best of the best. Truly the best experience. It was such a jam packed day and totally worth it! I feel like we did so much. My camera reel is packed to prove it! Seila was a great guide. His English was perfect which made the information easily understandable. I loved that they provided water and were great about keeping us hydrated. After each excursion they gave us cold towels. I really wanted to try the palm cakes so I was even more happy when I got to see them making them and got to try one fresh! I was happy with all the stops even the short ones for photos. It was a good mix of drive time/cooling off relaxing time and adventure time. Perfectly paced. Tons of bathroom stops. Comfortable even in the hot dry season. It wasn’t crowded at the stops so it felt like we got to experience the temples and mountains all to ourselves. Oh and the lunch was so delicious!! We ate so much and my husband said it was the best chicken he’s ever eaten.

Another great tour in Siem Reap. This one was packed with so many interesting places not just the temples. The picnic right by the waterfall was especially enjoyable. The chicken, wow! The trip today was excellent, we had a group of 4 on the tour. Everything was well organised. From the time we were picked up at our hotel, our tour guide mr Kim and driver mr moon took care of the group and were extremely informative, providing the history of the temples and Cambodia. Nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for a day out of the city, this is the perfect trip to book, full of different activities, giving you a good understanding of the culture and values of the Cambodian people. Superb tour

The trip to kulen mountain and beng mealea temple was exceptional as it was very informative. The tour operator guide of M/s Asean Angkor took pain to explain the significance of each place, 1000 lingas, reclining buddha, the water fall of mahendra parvat ( kulen) and the temple in ruins. Finally the surreal experience of tonle sap was incomparable. The boat ride in the lake rendered our next day separate tour of sunset in lake with stilted home superfluous, as the tour gave ample experience of the lake people at the end of day, during boat ride in the lake, with the setting sun. Ben mealea temple was as architectural wonder that people should not miss. The tour provided ample food snd wet towels and bottled water too.

This is a good full day tour and if you are under 70 , it will be perfect for you. My favorite part was the boat ride thru the floating village on lake Sap and the walk thru the village. But the temple and Kulen ridge top and waterfalls are great too, but is very hot and the stairs were a work out for me. But I'd definitely do it again.

Fantastic tour

We had a fantastic time on this Koulen Mountain, Beng Mealea and Tonle Sap tour. The tour is so much more than just these 3 sites - packed with so many more important and beautiful sites. Our tour guide was August and he was fantastic and very knowledgeable. He told us lot of mythological stories behind all the historic/ and religious temples we visited. It is a welcome change after visiting all the temples in and around Angkor Wat area on the two circuits.

What a fabulous tour guide we had. Kim is so attentive, knowledgeable, funny and speak very good English. A fantastic day out exploring Kulen mountain and it's attractions. Our guide Mr Sam and the driver Mr Theara both did a fantastic job getting us around. As a person travelling alone having someone to take pictures is always appreciated and our guide went out of his way to make sure he had a great experience. Highly recommend!

Kunle Moutains…wow

This tour is a must if you are in Siem Reap, it had views, waterfalls, temples and floating villages. The food was delicious too. Our guide Mr Sam made everything interesting and was funny throughout. Also shout out to our driver Mr Sothea who looked after us with lots of cold water and towels

If you’re coming to siem reap you need to take this tour! It has everything, it’s a great insight into the culture and lifestyle of Cambodia. You see nature, temples, monasteries, ruins, waterfalls, villages and plenty of delicious food in between. Request Mony if you can, he does a great job and speaks perfect English.
