The end of March to the end of June is a crucial time in all the floating villages in Siem Reap, as the water levels start to recede and present a unique opportunity for tourists to experience a new perspective. Although the picturesque landscape of the floating community may lose some of its charm during this time, visitors have a chance to immerse themselves in the daily life of the villagers living in the dried season. While some boats may become stuck, and smaller canoes are unable to traverse the jungle forest, these challenges add to the thrill of the experience. The dry season in floating village of Kompong Phluk may not be the ideal time to visit for those seeking postcard-perfect photos, but it offers a chance to witness a facet of the village’s daily life that is not typically seen. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. We recommend visitors to embrace this rare chance to witness a different facet of this incredible destination and truly get a different taste of life in the village.
Dress code: All visitors are not allowed to wear as shorts as you want for this experience. Please make sure that your knees and shoulders are covered.

For small group tour is limited to 14 participants to ensure a more personal experience from our guide.

For lunch, there is a vegetarian option like fried rice vegetable with eggs and fried spring rolls, but no vegan option.

Superb tour

The trip to kulen mountain and beng mealea temple was exceptional as it was very informative. The tour operator guide of M/s Asean Angkor took pain to explain the significance of each place, 1000 lingas, reclining buddha, the water fall of mahendra parvat ( kulen) and the temple in ruins. Finally the surreal experience of tonle sap was incomparable. The boat ride in the lake rendered our next day separate tour of sunset in lake with stilted home superfluous, as the tour gave ample experience of the lake people at the end of day, during boat ride in the lake, with the setting sun. Ben mealea temple was as architectural wonder that people should not miss. The tour provided ample food snd wet towels and bottled water too.

The guide, Dara was knowledgeable, good fun and made sure everyone on the trip were enjoying themselves. The driver was there at every stop with cold towels and cold water to keep us cool and hydrated. The variety on the tour was good and there was a nice balance of seeing, doing and relaxing.

This is a good full day tour and if you are under 70 , it will be perfect for you. My favorite part was the boat ride thru the floating village on lake Sap and the walk thru the village. But the temple and Kulen ridge top and waterfalls are great too, but is very hot and the stairs were a work out for me. But I'd definitely do it again.

We had a fantastic time on this Koulen Mountain, Beng Mealea and Tonle Sap tour. The tour is so much more than just these 3 sites - packed with so many more important and beautiful sites. Our tour guide was August and he was fantastic and very knowledgeable. He told us lot of mythological stories behind all the historic/ and religious temples we visited. It is a welcome change after visiting all the temples in and around Angkor Wat area on the two circuits.

Seila was our most incredible guide for the day. This was our most exciting tour of our trip as we saw so many different things and experienced so much culture in a short period of time. From temples to waterfalls to floating villages combined with a beautiful sunset over the lake and sweet coconut rice cakes to start the day. Seila was so kind as was our driver. We spent time at each stop and he thoroughly explained the significance of each area. We have beautiful photos from Kulen Mountain cliffs and Beng Mealea Temple. The stop and walk to understand the 1,000 Lingas and then walk to Preah Ang Thom pagoda with the reclining Buddah were truly special. There is no doubt we would book this tour again.

The tour was very well organized with no complaints at all. There were no touristy traps, just an authentic and smoothly run experience that felt relaxed and enjoyable. Chy and Sophal were very sweet, attentive, and accommodating throughout, and their hospitality made the day even more special. I highly recommend this tour and would happily book with them again.

We had a wonderful day with Mr Sa, our guide and Mr Moon, our driver. It was well planned day with a lot of unique sights, beautiful nature, wonderful history and a look into local life. Mr Sa is extremely knowledgeable and a great guide. We highly recommend taking this trip. It may be a long day but totally worth it.

An unforgettable experience - exceptional service from Samath and Theara

What an absolute blast! Our holiday trip to Kulen Mountain, Beng Mealea, and Tonle Sap was the highlight of our vacation, all thanks to the incredible team of Mr. Samath and Mr. Theara. These two are total pros—they had our day planned perfectly, but were so chill and flexible when the trails around the waterfall got a bit tricky. They made sure we were always comfortable and never missed a beat, balancing the adventure with a super relaxed vibe that our whole family loved! The little details really blew us away—the bus was a total sanctuary with the A/C at just the right temp, and those lemony cold towels were a total game-changer after hiking. We even got to try some local delicacies for lunch that you’d never find in the usual street markets—so delicious! Mr. Samath kept us laughing all day with his great sense of humor and local stories, keeping our energy high right until the end. We finished the whole tour feeling accomplished and on time. If you’re in Siem Reap, you have to book with these guys!

The tour was truly amazing. Mr Sam was a very good and fun guide, super knowledgeable and accommodating. Our driver Mr. Theara was super smooth and his service was very good (cold waters, wet towels, lunch, snacks) everything was simply top notch.

I really can not express my all admiration for this tour. The guide Mr.Seila is one of the most knowledgeable people for the Khmer history, heritage, culture and religion. He gave us so much information during the day and assisted us on every stop. Our driver Mr.Jame was perfect- kind and careful waiting us with the AC bus and cold water on every stop. This whole day tour combines mountain and temples, boat trip and riding through the Angkor area. But it’s pleasant and safe thanks to this professional people.

It was really great to explore the region beyond just Siem Reap city and the closest Angor Wat complex temples. Beng Malea temple was truly magical and pictures can't do it justice at all. Exploring Kulen national park was amazing, we really enjoyed the waterfall and the cliffs are perfect picture spot. Sunset at the Tonle Sap lake was beautiful and it was cool to see the fishing village as well. Mony was a great guide and provided a lot of valuable information.
