- The end of March to the end of June is a crucial time in all the floating villages in Siem Reap, as the water levels start to recede and present a unique opportunity for tourists to experience a new perspective. Although the picturesque landscape of the floating community may lose some of its charm during this time, visitors have a chance to immerse themselves in the daily life of the villagers living in the dried season. While some boats may become stuck, and smaller canoes are unable to traverse the jungle forest, these challenges add to the thrill of the experience. The dry season in floating village of Kompong Phluk may not be the ideal time to visit for those seeking postcard-perfect photos, but it offers a chance to witness a facet of the village’s daily life that is not typically seen. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. We recommend visitors to embrace this rare chance to witness a different facet of this incredible destination and truly get a different taste of life in the village.
- Dress code: All visitors are not allowed to wear as shorts as you want for this experience. Please make sure that your knees and shoulders are covered.

This tour is the best of the best. Truly the best experience. It was such a jam packed day and totally worth it! I feel like we did so much. My camera reel is packed to prove it! Seila was a great guide. His English was perfect which made the information easily understandable. I loved that they provided water and were great about keeping us hydrated. After each excursion they gave us cold towels. I really wanted to try the palm cakes so I was even more happy when I got to see them making them and got to try one fresh! I was happy with all the stops even the short ones for photos. It was a good mix of drive time/cooling off relaxing time and adventure time. Perfectly paced. Tons of bathroom stops. Comfortable even in the hot dry season. It wasn’t crowded at the stops so it felt like we got to experience the temples and mountains all to ourselves. Oh and the lunch was so delicious!! We ate so much and my husband said it was the best chicken he’s ever eaten.

Another great tour in Siem Reap. This one was packed with so many interesting places not just the temples. The picnic right by the waterfall was especially enjoyable. The chicken, wow! The whole tour was well organized and executed by our tour guide Seila. I’m so impressed how fluently the guides in Cambodia speak English and Seila was no exception. The trip today was excellent, we had a group of 4 on the tour. Everything was well organised. From the time we were picked up at our hotel, our tour guide mr Kim and driver mr moon took care of the group and were extremely informative, providing the history of the temples and Cambodia. Nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for a day out of the city, this is the perfect trip to book, full of different activities, giving you a good understanding of the culture and values of the Cambodian people. The trip to kulen mountain and beng mealea temple was exceptional as it was very informative. The tour operator guide of M/s Asean Angkor took pain to explain the significance of each place, 1000 lingas, reclining buddha, the water fall of mahendra parvat ( kulen) and the temple in ruins. Finally the surreal experience of tonle sap was incomparable. The boat ride in the lake rendered our next day separate tour of sunset in lake with stilted home superfluous, as the tour gave ample experience of the lake people at the end of day, during boat ride in the lake, with the setting sun. Ben mealea temple was as architectural wonder that people should not miss. The tour provided ample food snd wet towels and bottled water too.

This is a good full day tour and if you are under 70 , it will be perfect for you. My favorite part was the boat ride thru the floating village on lake Sap and the walk thru the village. But the temple and Kulen ridge top and waterfalls are great too, but is very hot and the stairs were a work out for me. But I'd definitely do it again.

We had a fantastic time on this Koulen Mountain, Beng Mealea and Tonle Sap tour. The tour is so much more than just these 3 sites - packed with so many more important and beautiful sites. Our tour guide was August and he was fantastic and very knowledgeable. He told us lot of mythological stories behind all the historic/ and religious temples we visited. It is a welcome change after visiting all the temples in and around Angkor Wat area on the two circuits.

If you’re coming to siem reap you need to take this tour! It has everything, it’s a great insight into the culture and lifestyle of Cambodia. You see nature, temples, monasteries, ruins, waterfalls, villages and plenty of delicious food in between. Request Mony if you can, he does a great job and speaks perfect English.

I had an unforgettable experience visiting Preah Ang Thom Pagoda, Phnom Kulen Waterfall, and the floating village, and this tour was made truly special thanks to our guide Sean.
Sean was extremely knowledgeable about Cambodian history, culture, and religion, and he explained everything with clarity and passion. What made the experience even more meaningful was how openly he shared stories about his family’s past and present, helping us understand Cambodia not just through monuments, but through real lives and experiences.

Seila was our most incredible guide for the day. This was our most exciting tour of our trip as we saw so many different things and experienced so much culture in a short period of time. From temples to waterfalls to floating villages combined with a beautiful sunset over the lake and sweet coconut rice cakes to start the day. Seila was so kind as was our driver. We spent time at each stop and he thoroughly explained the significance of each area. We have beautiful photos from Kulen Mountain cliffs and Beng Mealea Temple. The stop and walk to understand the 1,000 Lingas and then walk to Preah Ang Thom pagoda with the reclining Buddah were truly special. There is no doubt we would book this tour again.

A very well-organized full-day tour in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus. Cold water and refreshing cold towels were included in the price (which was amazing on a hot day). Our guide, Sean, took great care of our comfort throughout the entire trip—not only answering all our questions but also sharing a lot of knowledge about the places we visited. Highly recommended!

This all day excursion was full of a lot of different activities offering a wide variety of Cambodia. Temples, buddahs, amazing scenery, natures and ending with the out of this world and humbling village on stilts. Long, comprihensive and interesting day:) Very good service, unlimited cold water, good lunch, moist towels to refresh face etc, really 5 stars! Guide Moni explained a lot with good english. Driver Sophal took care of the lunch, water, refreshing and car of course. We saw a lot for one day, so totally worth it!

Great tour with Sam! The tour had excellent communication and follow through with all listed activities. Sam has an A+ in knowledge and Dad jokes which makes the entire trip enjoyable. Mr. Moon was a good driver and chef for included lunch!

We had an absolutely fantastic day on the Kulen Mountain, Beng Mealea & Tonle Sap Small-Group Tour, made exceptional by our guide Selia and driver Sothea. Selia was warm, knowledgeable, and engaging, sharing fascinating insights into Cambodian history and culture that made every stop unforgettable, while Sothea ensured a smooth, safe, and comfortable journey throughout the day. We were thoughtfully looked after with cold water bottles available all day, refreshing cold lemongrass towels, and a delicious pineapple treat at the end of the day, which was the perfect finishing touch. Everything was perfectly organized, relaxed, and enjoyable—an outstanding experience we highly recommend.

The tour was very well organized with no complaints at all. There were no touristy traps, just an authentic and smoothly run experience that felt relaxed and enjoyable. We had a wonderful day with Mr Sa, our guide and Mr Moon, our driver. It was well planned day with a lot of unique sights, beautiful nature, wonderful history and a look into local life.
