This excursion was breathtaking. The name of our boat was the ‘Sphinx’ which was iconic in and of itself. The crew was amazing, so helpful and kind the entire day. The food was delicious and the boat ride was smooth and safe. Special thank you to Ahmed! You encouraged me to try deep diving and you walked me through each step of the way to ease my fears, this was the first time I ever tried something like that and the things I saw were life changing.
I will definitely be back! I already told my friends and family that this was one for the books! Thank you Sphinx crew!!!

Very nice trip, staff and boat also very good. Good choice for a reasonable price. Pick up on time, good bus.
We had mixed experiences on this trip to Ras Mohamed and White Island.
The highlight was definitely the diving and snorkelling team. The dive instructor from Sunshine Diving was exceptionally professional, attentive, and reassuring, and the snorkelling guides provided fantastic support in the water. The boat crew itself was also polite and well-trained.
However, the organisation and facilities fell far short of what we expected:
Boarding Area: The waiting area before boarding was disorganised and uncomfortable; the fan was broken, making the wait in the heat very unpleasant.
Boat Condition: We paid for a "luxury" boat experience, but the vessel was tired and not in good condition.
Food & Refreshments: The food served was cold and disappointing compared to the advertised offerings. Portions and options were minimal, leaving us hungry throughout the day.
Overall, while the underwater staff and marine experience were great, the boat's condition, organisation, and catering need significant improvement to justify the luxury price tag.
Lovely, too early pick up then left waiting in an extremely hot and busy waiting area for boats to be cleaned
More than 50 yachts in 1 place every time makes it hard to enjoy the moment. I recommend not to book a tour like this but make a special tour with your friends. Waste of time.
What an amazing experience snorkelling and diving , made our whole Egypt trip worth it for sure , Amazing experience !
Amazing day on the boat with the opportunity to try scuba diving for a great price, which I never thought I would do but the instructors and staff were amazing. 5*
This was the best experience ever swimming with fishes then to the white sand island. The guides were very informative and helpful. The unlimited drinks were good but optional non fizzy drink would be good to offer.
I don’t think the boat was luxurious as described but overall great experience!
Overall this was a great trip, all of the staff on the boat were friendly and very helpful and we had a good time.
The food on the boat was great and the snorkeling was great. The only slight disappointment was that we did not go to White Island and were told that this was a government decision due to bad weather further out at sea, and this was replaced by a trip to another beach, this was a stop where did not get to snorkel, we swam to the beach and had to stand around on this beach whilst the photographer took photos of those that wanted them, we then swam back to the boat, the next 2 stops were snorkeling stops which was fantastic.
Overall I would use this company again when I return to egypt

The experience from beginning to end was fantastic. The team on board the boat were knowledgeable, friendly and very professional and as a result we ended up scuba diving whilst on the trip and for €50 extra per person and it was definitely worth it.
We went around 12 metres down and saw coral and fish that you just cannot see by snorkelling alone and you feel safe and supported throughout the whole experience. A special thank you to Roston who was so thorough with the sharing of his knowledge and support when taking me and my family scuba diving on a one-to-one experience. I would also say that when you do the scuba diving experience, do not miss out on buying the photos and videos as they are worth every penny as you will see with the photos I have put on the review.
The food was fresh and delicious with salad, dressings, pasta, chicken and fish.

I recommend this activity, such a nice experience. From diving to snorkeling it was nice, and the instructors also are superb. But one thing the photographers can be too extreme. I will recommend talking and negotiating before allowing them to take your pictures. For 4 pictures they can charge you $35

Wouldn't recommend unless your a diver
Charged £10 extra for an island we didn't visit, we didn’t know until we’d set off on the boat that we wasn’t going to White Island.
Tried to charge for a life jacket when going in the water. On the boat waiting over two hours on our first stop.
The positive was the staff was lovely and helpful and food was really good!

I wouldn’t recommend. Charged £10 extra for an island we didn’t visit
Tried to charge for a life jacket when going in the water. Even when knowing my friend felt unwell.
Not a relaxing trip. They want more divers so they can charge and get more money.

Having read all the "bad" reviews online before booking, I prepared myself for many sticky things that might go wrong. I'd say the snorkeling & diving day trip exceeded my (low) expectations. In the grand scheme of things, it was OK. The hotel transfers were smooth (driver was only 30min late, which is to be expected in the morning). There wasn't too much upselling of extra products. Diving was extra but we wanted to try anyway. Food was amazing on board and the staff were helpful.
In early February the sea is still a bit cold in swimsuits. By the time we swam over to White Island everyone was shivering and wanted to go back to the boat. 😆
The only thing I would say about this whole concept and diving organisation is they take you too close to the coral😵 - which I understand is an amazing experience to innocent tourists who want to touch and feel everything up close. But I feel sorry for the environment, as the way they guide you underwater will get you dangerously close to the coral, to the extent that you'd hit your hand on them, break something, and / or hurt yourself. You also spend about half of that 10min precious diving time having your pictures taken underwater doing some silly gestures the photographer suggests, instead of looking at the fish yourself. So these pictures and videos (also cost extra) serve as evidence of ignorance of the environment 😢 There are boats and boats loads of tourists going there every day it gets very crowded. This is exactly the type of mass tourism that destroys corals.

Beware of this Yacht trip if you do not want to snorkel, swim or dive then it won’t be appropriate for you. The lunch provided was great and the views of the sea throughout the experience were beautiful but White Island does not appear to be an actual island it’s just sea and some sand in the middle of the sea.

Pick up was on time. Arrived at the marina and taken to the boat (Yousef 1) The diving instructor (hamza) explained about diving - really easy instructions. We hadn’t booked to dive but the offer of a little try in the water first before deciding was so good. So we both did and both dived for the first time 😍. Hamza took the reins completely so all we had to concentrate on was breathing and looking at the reef! We then went over to White Island and as non confident swimmers, were taken there by holding a ring. And back! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good also. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience. The provider is very helpful and contacts you before hand to confirm your attendance and is available to message if you need anything. All the crew on the boat are friendly and helpful and made sure we were safe and comfortable during the activity. It was an amazing experience and would recommend to anyone who wants to try snorkelling and diving in the red sea

Whether you are a confident swimmer or not the team are on hand and by your side. Morrissey Ahmed was very good in showing me the coral 🪸 reef and various fish 🐠 which was amazing.

Just book it ! 10/10 experience but I must say the snorkelling wow ! It is a must don’t be hesitant about deciding whether to do or not. It was amazing.

Everything was excellent including lunch. We picked a very windy January day, which meant the trip itself was a bit nippy (take a sweater and some socks!). The snorkeling was great, you snorkel with a guide so you get to see around the whole reef. We read that there could be long waits at the port and snorkel sites, but we didn’t find this, the transport was seamless. Thank you everyone on Dreams 1, Alison and the gang

Amazing tour, nice boat, fun boat crew - it is still the best tour you can do in Sharm el Sheikh, but a BIG 'but'!
Intro dive is sold on the spot or you can buy it in advance (take it) it's amazing experience; if you bought a dive, then they sell you a longer dive, after first stop they sell you another dive (now as they say no photos or preparations or bs, just dive!
Snorkeling is a sideshow (since there is no extra charge), but I wanted to snorkel so I rented equipment from the boat, then there were photos and videos under water, then there were photos on the boat and prices are are astronomical!
Seems as more then half of the trip you are being sold something, rest you wait for your turn!
I am in SSH first time after 15 years, unfortunately Ras Mohamed stops have degraded significantly - overexploitation and lack of care is seen; before the tourists have been warned more about getting close to corals and over corals, now guides are taking you dangerously close to corals and snorkeling over corals (to cut the trip short); -if they don't wake up soon, there will be no corals to look at!
Al in all, we enjoyed, but not an experience I will be dreaming about any more...

Wonderful first time diving experience, the staff on board where fantastic, as were the divers/trainers. We would highly recommend to anyone, regardless if it is your first time in Egypt or your 10th time. A great way to experience underwater wildlife.

Lots of room on the boat to sunbathe, spread out and relax. Staff attentive, fun and informative. Very busy with boats and other tourists when snorkelling and on white island. Snorkelling guides very attentive to less confident swimmers ( like my wife) ensuring she could enjoy the snorkelling and I did not need to worry about her. Lunch was good. We watched the sunset on the boat as we travelled back to the marina. Great value trip.
