Guide was nice but had limited English, which I feel like limited the amount of information you could learn about the city. Would recommend making the tour longer so that we have time to stop to get a drink or arepa from the local places the guide mentioned during the tour. I also recommend starting the tour earlier because by 6pm the sun is setting and it was hard to see the path/potholes on certain streets we biked on. Appreciate that the company provided helmets. We probably did not bike more thank 3km, which was disappointing.
Flat easy ride. Enjoyed the sights and descriptions.
Guides were knowledgeable. It was great to see the map of our route in advance.
Good bike, busyvold streets abs people do not pay attention to bikes. Tour was very informative about the old history if the city. The fishing area was a highlight. As was Ana Marie's passion for the area and its history. Highly recommended for the interested in the city's history.
The bikes were in good shape and the tour lasted about two hours. Roghly 10 stops were made to explain a park or statue and the guide was very good. The ride is done around sunset and the views are excellent.
It's not about cycling. the actual cycling is probably 15 min over 2 hours. there are recurrent stops where the tour guide would spend 10-15 min explaining. Sometimes we stopped for 30 min. If you are looking to cycle dont go here.

We’re sorry the experience did not match your expectations. However, this is not promoted as a high-intensity cycling activity. Our City Bike Tour is designed as a cultural and local experience, where the bicycle is used as a comfortable way to explore more of Santa Marta while making different stops to learn about its history, gastronomy, traditions and local life.
This information is also reflected in the descriptions and reviews from many other travelers on the platform, who specifically enjoy the relaxed pace and cultural interaction during the tour.
If your expectation was mainly a long-distance or sports-focused cycling experience, it is possible that this was not the most suitable tour for what you were looking for.

We had the best time on this tour with Juan Pablo! We learned so much and left with great recommendations for things to see and places to eat. Highly recommend when you first get the city.
Beautiful sunset views!
Well booking the tour it gave me two options to meet up, so of course I mapped them to see which worked for me, and the second one was just a few blocks away. So I booked everything and waited five hours till it was time to go. When I arrived at the location it was an abandoned sight. So I quickly looked the address up again and everything seemed right. Till I downloaded the app and checked my reservation and the sight I had chosen was across town. And it was too late for me to make my tour. So be aware, this tour site uses misdirection for your money. I would not recommend this tour company to any of my friends and would encourage everyone to rid it from their vacation.

This little tour is a great way to get a sense of the city. Lots of great history; food suggestions; and an expert and thoughtful guide. Plenty of time to ask questions. The bikes are simple and in good repair and helmets are available if you'd like one. Riding wasn't difficult and local drivers were accommodating. Highly recommend!
Juan Pablo did an awesome job with your and knew a lot about city history and a lot of great recommendations.
A really useful and fun way to get a sense of the town. Our guide was great. The tour started a little late and went on about half an hour longer than scheduled, which was fine but worth knowing in case you planned something else afterwards.
Good bikes. Content had the right amount of story telling and history. It did get difficult to hear the tour guide sometimes as the street music was loud and group was large. I would recommend this tour.
I came to Santa Marta as a solo traveler and wanted to get to know the city and learn more about its history. I think the Rent Bike tour nailed it.
I got the chance to ride through the downtown streets, see a beautiful sunset, and really enjoy the city.
Highly recommended. Great recommendations and excellent company.
Great way to see around Santa Marta. The sunset was beautiful! Our tour guide was very informant spoke English well!
I know what you're thinking: biking on the streets of a Colombian city...are you crazy? Trust me, you'll be fine. We did our tour with Gabriel. His English was very good, and he did a great job of navigating us through traffic, so it never felt dangerous. He was very personable, and the tour was really informative. It was a great way to get to know the city on our first afternoon in Santa Marta and really helped us to feel confident exploring on our own afterwards. We even went on our own to some of the sites he pointed out to us on the tour. We ended up on the beach at sunset...can't get much better than that!
Nice little tour of interesting points in Santa Marta. Very leisurely biking pace. Got to see sunset. I recommend.
Luisa, the tour guide was super nice, energetic, and knew her stuff about history of each stop. Timing in the late afternoon was very good.
Informative and interesting tour. Pipe was our tour guide and did a great job
Entertaining as well as heathy for exercise
I would suggest you make this the first activity you do when you get to town, as it's a great way to get acclimated/introduced to the city, you can ask questions of the guide, and meet some other tourists.
I went on this bike tour in downtown Santa Marta and it was one of the highlights of my trip to Colombia. The experience was very relaxed, and our guide made us feel at home in the city. We visited some landmarks such as the library, the beach, the church, and the school, and our guide gave us insights into the town's older as well as recent history. What made it special was that I had the tour with a local guide and one other participant who was also a local from the town who decided to join. It felt more like I was having a personal tour with friends than a traditional tour with a group of strangers. Nice local vibe & very enjoyable bike tour.
Friendly, professional, fun. Definitely a great intro to the city. I don't know why viator asks for a long review for a short tour but here it is.
David is a very charismatic tour guide. He was able to talk about the history of Santa Marta while cracking jokes and making sure everyone was being safe on the bikes. Overall it's a great tour to take to dip your feet in some of Santa Marta's landmarks - it's also a perfect time for digital nomads as it starts after 5pm + an amazing sunset.
It is very good! Nice tour! Great experience! The guide very polite! You can see the old city by bike
