Our host Diego was very friendly and helped prepare us for everything we needed to bring and what to leave home. Our pickup was seamless and the breakfast option was fantastic (and vegetarian friendly)! We had fun conversation in the comfortable SUV and he handled our noisy kids in the third row like a champ!
Tolantango was a wonderful experience. The hot pools were sublime on their own, but I wasn't expecting such a magnificent canyon view beyond them! The cave/tunnel was our family's favorite part of the trip and it was the most unusual part. Traversing through warm water while cold water pours upon you is invigorating! Our older two kids are confident swimmers and had no issues, but we held close to our youngest. Be mindful of bringing too many little ones that aren't strong swimmers.
Lunch was great and so was swimming in the river. Although we didn't get much time there and that felt rushed. But it was kind of expected when we have so much distance to cover in one day.
Overall wonderful experience for our family we would recommend anyone to try! Note: we went on a weekday and especially the hot pools were fairly crowded (but not too bad). I've heard it can be much worse on the weekends.

Our trip to Grutas Tolantongo was absolutely incredible! The scenery was breathtaking, and it was such a unique experience exploring one of Mexico’s most beautiful destinations. Our guide, Diego, was outstanding, he shared history about the area and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. Highly recommend this tour!

It was a great experience. Loved the caves and waterfall. Roads were extremely bumpy on the way. The breakfast was good but would have rather spent more time at the location.
The tour included my sister and me. It was more personable. The tour guide was friendly and we got to enjoy the one to one getting to know our guide and the area we traveled.
The company did a really nice job managing what would otherwise have been incredibly logistically complicated—and the sites itself were so, so stunning—highly recommend to anyone considering it!
Wow! What a great experience! Our guide and driver Christian did an amazing job of pointing out many historical facts and landmarks along the route, it is a rather long drive. Once we arrived, his instructions were perfectly clear and a great time was had. I personally loved the caves and waterfalls the best but the beautiful warm pools and a swim in the river were also very enjoyable. Both meals were delicious, I particularly enjoyed the breakfast. This is a full day tour but an experience you’ll never forget. The views of the mountains and valley are spectacular. If you have an interest in all things botanical like I do you’ll surely enjoy the beautiful cactus and tillandsia which are everywhere!

We had a great time! Booking this trip with our tour guide Lalo was the best decision we could’ve made. He made the entire trip memorable. He was very communicative and helpful every step of the way. He went above and beyond to ensure every person on the tour had a great time. 10/10
Todo fue genial, la atención de Diego nuestro guía estuvo super, es muy amable y nos explicó claramente todo el recorrido. Solo eramos 3 personas así que fue casi privado. El clima estuvo muy bien, creo tuvimos suerte que no lloviera. Fuimos un viernes, había gente pero no tanta, estuvimos muy agusto. La vdd es una experiencia que vale la pena. Las amenidades incluidas en el tour excelente
El desayuno, la vista en las montañas, la entrada al túnel y a la cueva con todos sus paisajes estuvo maravilloso el tur lo disfrutamos muchísimo y Cristian estuvo muy atento durante todo el día gracias y lo volveré a vivir sin duda gracias por la oportunidad.
