Our guide and driver (Nancy and Marvin) were wonderful and attentive. The mountainside is breathtaking and we visited and learned a lot about Central Costa Rica.
One thing that I would like to advise, is that you need to add the travel time to the excursion time: this can take between 2-4 hours depending on traffic. It was quite worth it!

A great full day tour to some highlights outside of San Jose. We went to Irazu Volcano, but didn't spend much time due to the weather. We saw a few scenic vistas and then visited the Basilica which was beautiful. Then a delicious lunch and the Ruins of Ujarras!

The tour guide Fernando was great and took the time to explain. However, since it was so foggy, we could not see the volcano. I was informed that the best months to come to Costa Rica are February and March. They said even still May and June.

Our guide Yurleni was muy tuanes (super cool)! She drove really well, brought us to some cool spots in Cartago, Volcán Irazú (was clear, saw birds and a coyote), the Orosi valley (beautiful view and farms along the road), the Ujarrás ruins (super beautiful flowers, spider plant tree and parrots). Lunch at cafetal overlooking the lake was beautiful.

Highly recommend this tour. Better than expected. Was initially told we wouldn't be able to see the Ujarrás Ruins, but that wasn't the case. So glad we were able. Also, when we first got to the volcano, it was foggy. Tour guide allowed us to stay a little longer, after the skies cleared. Really appreciated our tour guide.

We had Hayro as our tour guide. We highly recommend him! He was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent driver. His van was very clean and well kept. We learned a lot about the culture of Costa Rica, along with its flora and fauna. We got lucky and got to see Irazu 's volcanic crater before the clouds came in and the restaurant overlooking a lake was absolutely incredible both in food quality and location.

Our tour guide Lenny was amazing! We were fortunate enough to have a private tour with her which made our experience that much better. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. There was never a dull moment she made sure to make us feel welcomed throughout the tour. During our lunch she let us have privacy to ensure my Wife and I had a romantic lunch at a very scenic location.

Well organised excursion with a guide (Max) who was very knowledgeable about the area and flaura and fauna. Unfortunately we couldn’t not visit the ruins but they offered us entry to Lankester Botanical Gardens which was lovely.
Unfortunately the description on Viator shows that breakfast is included but the guide said that in 20 years he has never seen this offered, so come prepared and not hungry. The lunch spot had Great Lake views but food was very average.

We were fortunate to experience the Irazu Volcano during a period of cloudless sky. Our first time to be present on a volcano. We benefited from the knowledge of our friendly and experienced guide Jean (Jon). He educated us on the area, the volcano's history and took us through some of the surrounding vegetation to experience the temperature change. At the observatory we enjoyed a beautiful panoramic view of the area.
The tour continued with the peaceful and secluded Orosi Valley outside Cartago, The Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels in Cartago, and the Santigo Apostol Ruins also in Cartago.
Our guide provided a comfortable and efficient drive to the four sites. Jon was a first class guide and we both enjoyed his company throughout the day.
