Our tour guide was fantastic! He met us at our hotel in the morning, he was able to share lots of Incan history with us while viewing the ruins, and his passion for that history was unmistakable throughout the tour. He came with laminated photos to explain building techniques and the importance of the shaping of the town, how it used to look, and the people who inhabited it. Finally, our guide took the tour at our pace, which was a bit slower than normal due to some heavy hiking we’d done earlier in the week.

Ruth was very knowledgeable and picked us up at our hotel to guide us all the way to Machu Picchu. She was very patient and waited for the fog to clear up while sharing her knowledge about the Incas with us. She took photos of us and answered all our questions. The only little flaw was that she was 20 minutes late in picking us up in the morning. Despite the late departure we did make it on time to Machu Picchu.

Robert ( or Juan) conducted a very comprehensive tour with excellent historical insights all along the tour. He is so knowledgeable and proud of the Inka heritage it was really enjoyable. Robert is extremely kind and humble and I highly recommend that you ask for him specifically.

Booked months in advance with pick up location and time clearly stated on confirmation. They didn’t show up. When I called they said they didn’t know. Then when I asked for my money back because this was a documented error on their part, they refused. They also said the attempted to contact me the day before departure which was also a lie. Would you spend your money at a place that would treat you that way when they are in truth at fault?

The service says: Tour guide in Machu Picchu. "FROM AGUAS CALIENTES ". It doesn't say from Cusco. We sent you many messages, but you never responded. We wrote to you up until the day before to coordinate the tour and to tell you that your hotel was in Cusco, not in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu). But you never responded to the messages. You only wrote to us the day of the tour at 9:30 a.m. You were in Cusco, not in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu). The mistake was yours because you never responded to the messages. We are professionals. You were immediately refunded. I recommend that you respond to the messages again. You continue to write badly about us, telling lies.

There are lots of logistics to figure out in getting to Machu Picchu and Eduardo was helpful by messaging all the important pieces-transportation to MP Pueblo, bus to get to MP, entrance ticket. Made it easy knowing where to meet for bus to MP and what time. Eduardo quickly responded to questions. Very knowledgeable and a great photographer so we got amazing photos!

Overall, tour was conducted in a professional manner, and the guide showed his good knowledge of the logistics of how to visit the mountain. The guide was also super helpful with taking bucketloads of pictures at the right spots throughout the tour.
The initial climb may take some travellers by surprise, so I'd recommend going slow at the start and then picking up pace as you walk down.

Exceptional guide. Friendly and helped us understand that we were seeing throughout the tour. He also carried photo cards helping explain things as we walked through the ruins. Most important, one member had back problems from and accident a few weeks before and he made it is job the lend him his shoulder and arms to get him up and down some difficult steps and walkways. He was always supportive and patient. He made our trip a success for everyone.

We had Edward with us -- he is just awesome. He made the entire experience very smooth and pleasant (from taking the bus up to going around the site). Most important, we learnt a lot about Machu Picchu with his explanation.

Love that they pick you up from the hotel and help with bus tickets.
Felt like we missed out on the best lookout point due to the guide wanting to avoid the crowd and the pacing of the tour was a little odd. English was a little hard to understand.
Very nice people and would recommend.

Hello:
Now in Machu Picchu we have 3 circuits and 10 routes. The tours inside the sanctuary are made depending on the type of entrance ticket to Machu Picchu. No one can break the new rules. Otherwise you will be penalized.

Edward was absolutely wonderful. He imitated contact at least a month prior to my arrival to confirm I had all the proper and necessary tickets/documentation (since they are very strict in Machu Picchu). He even provided me with the proper email info to contact when I couldn’t locate my Machu Picchu entrance tickets.
Edward met me at the hotel in time and spent 3.5 hours guiding me through circuits 1 & 2 and the Inka Bridge. He’s very knowledgeable and speaks English very well. He explained the history in great detail… and knows to take great pictures.

Edo was probably the best guide we had in our three weeks in Peru. He was very helpful in arranging the travel to Machu Pichu and once we arrived by train, he met us and guided us up to the mountaintop. The tour itself was very informative. Highly recommended!

I suggest getting a private tour guide and book the earliest time to enter Machu Picchu. You will have the best pictures and the background will have lesser people
