Guide was half hour late and kept arguing with me that meeting time was 10:30 instead of 10 even after I showed her her own email stating 10. She lacked charm and her English was difficult to understand. It was a shame because she was knowledgeable.

Lina was a great guide. She took us under the city to see the medieval buildings that we would never have known existed. She also told us about the gate near the barracks and the story of the lovers. This tour is definitely named correctly. Highly recommend this tour.

I am unable to evaluate the quality of the tour itself, as it ultimately did not take place. I booked the experience approximately 36 hours in advance. Prior to the scheduled start, the tour operator informed us that they would not be able to guide our group due to personal reasons that were not indicated in the tour description.
While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, I was disappointed that no refund was offered despite the cancellation being initiated by the operator. Additionally, I found that Viator was unable to effectively resolve or mediate the situation.

I'm sorry about your booking experience. But in the description of my tour it was stated that this tour is not recommended to the customers with the strollers and the wheelchairs and this tour as it was stated is not allowed for the customers with the dogs. Besides you wanted this tour would be held outside of the scheduled time ( at 9:30) and after my explanations when you understood that your "special requirements" didn't meet the conditions of the tour YOU canceled it at the time that was less than 24 hours before it must be started that is why you didn't get the refund.I wish you all the best and the better experience in the future!

We had a short time in Riga. We felt that Lina's tour gave us the biggest bang for our buck. It was thorough with lots of historical information. After the tour, we went back to a couple of museums that she had pointed out. Lina recommended a local restaurant for lunch. Although we only had 24 hours in Riga, with Lina's private tour we made the most of it.

This was an amazing tour for our family of adults and children alike. Lina was an excellent tour guide! She was very knowledgeable about Riga history and shared with us great history and numerous legends of this historical city supported by the book of pictures depicting the sites at different moments of history, e.q. the devastating consequences of WWII. She also recommended many tips for other sites beyond the itinerary,as well as restaurants to visit. She was also very warm and friendly and generous with her time on the tour. We definitely recommend her tour.

Lina was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour. The only comment I have is the info on the tour notes admission to churches etc are included but actually you only do the free parts not go into the churches etc. she did take us to places we wouldn’t have found on our own!

Lina was an excellent tour guide! She was very knowledgeable about Riga history and shared with us visual support through a folder of artifacts. Lina answered all of our questions and was generous with her time to explain the history. Her content was interesting. I don’t think any other guide would have been so engaging. She showed us things one won’t find in a tour book. She was also very warm and friendly. We definitely recommend her tour. It’s worth every minute!

This was just an amazing journey through and even under the city. We are on a cruise and no one we talked with had an adventure like we did. Our guide knew the history of the city and had interesting facts all about the history of the area. She had a book she made of pictures of when like a church had burned and what it looked like on fire, after the fire, and we could see the repairs.
One of the most amazing parts was she took us in a building and we went under the streets in what would have been an early part on the town. We came out in a whole different location.
I almost wish we had a longer tour because my wife and I didn’t want it to end.
Viator really came through and gave us lifelong memories of our stop in Riga.

Lina is an amazing tour guide and this tour is a must if it is your first, or even second time in Riga.
Lina had a wealth of historical information intertwined with some good stories and showed us many places that we would never find on our own. She had some great food and other sightseeing recommendations and was very generous with her time on the tour.
