Our tour guide was great, punctual, friendly and enthusiastic throughout the two hour tour asking your. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Riga/Latvia, the architecture all over the city and how it’s changed over time and restorations. We felt we’d had an informed lesson from our guide, an excellent start to discovering Riga, not just a load of wise cracks and highly recommend this tour.

Excellent Eduardas! A great Riga tour guide

G_C, Mar 2026
Our tour guide, Eduardas, was simply fantastic! He pitched the tour perfectly for our students (aged 12-14) and was engaging and very informative. He was patient, waiting for slower legs to catch-up!, and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Riga and very talented speaking 4 languages! Thank you, Eduardas.

Five of us took the private tour in English. The tour guide Edvards was exceptionally knowledgeable and the tour was very interesting. He also took into account the interests of our group as we walked round the old town. We learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - an excellent tour!!

Must do tour

Edvards provided a terrific tour of Riga, somehow managing to capture and convey the complex history of this nation both efficiently and humorously. We learned a great deal and enjoyed this tour, one of the best we have ever had. 100% recommend.

Tour Guide Edwards was Phenomenal!

Michelle_M, Jun 2024
We were lucky enough to have Edwards as our tour guide in Riga! He gave us so much history (The Baltic Way, The House of the Black Cat, the napkin memorial...) and we loved Riga so much as a result! He thoughtfully and fully answered all of our questions, and his English was PERFECT. We only wish we had had more time in Riga! Do not skip this city if you have a chance to visit!

Outstanding Tour of Riga!

Martine_G, May 2024
We had an excellent tour with Edvards. He shared a huge amount of information in a two-hour tour, covering geo-political, social and historical highlights of Riga and Latvia as a country. He is extremely knowlgeable and very articulate. We could ask questions and exchange on very complex issues. Highly recommend this tour. This was a private tour that allowed for some custimization.

Great walk in old town Riga

Susan_G, Apr 2024
Edvards was a great guide. He hit the most important parts of the Old Town and his commentary was terrific. I have rarely encountered a guide whose English was as good as his which made his comments so easy to understand.

A great guide, with few words, clear voice he explained the history of Riga in fun and pedagogic way.

Totally worth it

Ada_U, Aug 2023
The private tour was great and I would definitely recommend! Rihards is very engaging, passionate about his city and had a lot of historical and cultural information to share. We had only one day in Riga and this tour definitely helped us maximise our time there. Rihards was also super flexible/accomodating. Our flight was delayed and he was able to postpone the tour by 2 hours. Additionally, we were able to arrange a tour meeting spot which was closer to our hotel making it more convenient. All in all a really nice experience. If you read this Rihards -Thanks again!

Delightful journey through old town Riga

lisa_h, Jun 2019
Our guide, Santa, shared history and insight about Riga and Latvia as we casually strolled through old town. She tied today's world to the past and brought understanding of how past and present are connected. She was enthusiastic and well prepared to answer our many questions. Highly recommend this tour!

The Best Tour Guide of My Trip!

Victoria B, Jul 2018
I took a 14 day cruise through the Baltic Sea and went on all of the ship's tours except this one. I wish I had booked more through Viator after having experienced this walking tour of Riga. The tour guide, Santa (which means Saint), was beyond fabulous. She was knowledgeable, professional, and ensured we had a memorable experience. Her English skills were better than many Americans, and her warm personality and sense of humor were very much appreciated! I highly recommend this tour with Santa!

Top!...

Sarah_T, Apr 2024
Top!
