Wouldn’t do this trip again. As we are a group from a cruise we ended up not seeing most of the items listed as the driver, not a guide, wanted to take us to a winery and restaurant an hour each way out of the way up a mountain vs seeing the island. We basically paid $1900 for a driver up to the acropolis and then lunch at his friend’s restaurant. He dropped us off at old town bc that’s where the boat was and we did our own tours.

We’re sorry to hear the tour didn’t quite meet your expectations! Let’s go through your points one by one: 1. According to our GPS logs (yes, we do check!), the tour itinerary and timings were followed exactly as advertised. 2. Nikos has 17 years of guiding experience, hundreds of cruise passengers each season, and more glowing reviews than a Hollywood star. 3. Lindos is about a one-hour drive from Rhodes Town. Unless we suddenly acquire a helicopter fleet (working on it 😅), that’s simply the fastest way. Lindos is a highlight and clearly mentioned in the itinerary. 4. Nikos kindly took you to a spot where locals eat. Fun fact: Greeks are famously picky about food, so if you see Greeks eating there—you’ve struck gold. Sorry you didn’t enjoy this thoughtful gesture. 5. Free time in the Old Town was indeed provided. If that wasn’t your cup of tea, a quick word with the guide could have helped—he’s great, but mind-reading isn’t in his skill set just yet. When booking tours with Viator, we recommend setting expectations based on the actual itinerary (rather than wishful thinking 😉). If you’d like any customizations, please share them with us in advance or directly with your guide during the tour. Safe and happy travels!

This was a great tour! Our bus was right on time in picking us up from the port. Our tour guide and driver were so friendly. We enjoyed the day very much and would recommed it over an excuersion offered by the cruiseline. It was private, comfortable and very enjoyable.

Great Rhodes Island all day tour

Had an excellent day with Alexis our tour guide. Included visit to Lindos and the Acropolis, Lunch looking over Monolithos Castle, Superb wine Tasting in Emponas and finishing with visit to the 7 springs including a walk through the tunnel to apparently cleanse our sins. The places visited were perfect for us and Alexis was very knowledgeable about Rhodes as well as many other subjects we discussed during our time together.

Ma Ja and driver did an excellent job! They provided a perfect itinerary and made it easy to stay longer in one area and less in another. Ma Ja was pleasant, knowledgeable, and spoke perfect English. Great communication thru WhatsApp. Highly recommend!

The journey to Greece was our dream for a long time and finally it came true. This October we were in Rhodes during 7 days. For 1 of them we booked the private tour with Telia tours from Viator. It was very wise decision. For the mentioned day with our excellent guide Dimitra we learned, visited and enjoyed more than for the rest 6 days in Rhodes. Highlight of our tour was the visit to Embona and local wine tasting. All in all we had absolutely fabulous tour.

Thank you Viator and Telia Tours for making our private tour of Rhodes Island so pleasant and memorable. Our driver and guide George was very good. We asked him thousand of questions and he was patient enough to answer them all. More than that, he changed the tour route because we wanted to see Kiss of Two Seas - Mediterranean and Aegean, amazingly beautiful place! Telia tours didn,t chage us anything extra despite the fact that our wish to see that place had expended tour and route duration. George recommended a nice cozy taverna in one the villages in 70 km from Rhodes. OMG the quality or food was simply outstanding, the best place we ate in Rhodes. The bill was twice less than in those touristy places in the Old Town that we visited previously. We appreciate all the services provided, we spent an amazing day exploring Rhodes, George saved our money, showed us all the island incluidng his secret hidden placed, we fell in love with Rhodes and even became interested in their real estate market. We have been to many Greek isles but Rhodes has become our favorite one. It's big enough, very green, its parts and areas differ much from each other, for example those who like shopping and night life can find all that in the center of Rhodes town and Old town, those who want to hide form the civilization can go camping in the Southern part, the quality of food is great, especially purchasing from their farmers. They have many wineries in Embonas village in the mountans, wine quality is superb! We are wine lovers, we have never tried such delicious wines as in Embona, wine tasting is free there, you can taste all the wine they produce, nobody makes you purchase unless you wish to, people are very friendly there, they are not pushy at all. To cut long story short we highly recommened George, Telia and Rhodes. Those who like good wine, make sure you don;t miss wine tasting!
