Great time in our tour guide Joanna was fantastic. We had a nice tour around the island and were back on time for our cruise. Wine tasting was nice as well.
Touring Rhodes was a fantastic experience. The Old City tour made the experience of a lifetime. Of all the Greek Islands toured (Mykonos, Crete, Santorini) Rhodes displayed the best of Greece.
Not worth the money. First of all the pick up came late (although they warned us that this could happen due earlier pickups but it really sucks to wait because of unnecessary delays in a hot weather) Our guide lady was really nice and non of this is her fault, I don’t think that she’s the one who sets up the tour. Anyway the clay factory was really nice though! Lots of nice things to buy! Although we were not introduced nor we got a chance to try out olive oils/honey which they say we will try in their tour description. We were not asked to even enter the specific building. But it is what it is :) When we got to the Lindos we got around 2 hours “free” time from which we actually had to choose either we want to go up the hill to see the Ancient Greek site or to stay in the Lindos village because in reality you can’t do both. If you choose to go upstairs then you have left around 30 min in the village afterwards if you are lucky enough or sporty so that you can sprint down and through the village. Also the village and the stairs up the hill was crowded! On those small streets you can barely move.
Back in the Rodos from the old town we did see exactly one street more or less. We were taken to the wine tasting right away. We stopped though to take a picture at one place. At the wine tasting we did taste 4 kinds of wines but we had to do it so fast that the waiter actually said to chug it… Also if you want to see the actual old town in reality you have to choose between wine tasting or to see something and if you choose the second one, you have around 30-40 mins max. After that straight to the bus and to the drop offs. And we are done for the day! Not even mentioning that there is no time for food, no time for bathroom tours :) So people please take your own food with you or at least some snacks because there is no time for eating anywhere. While you will look for food- poof your tour is done and you did see just a food shop! So the whole tour is super rushed and there is no time to actually stop and see things. Such a bummer and disappointment afterwards.

It's fascinating to see the range of tourist behaviors: some strive to discover the most and the best of one of Greece's largest and most picturesque islands, while others waste their time composing lengthy negative reviews as a form of retaliation for their unrefunded requests:
1. Pick up: Apologies for the 7-minute delay in picking you up, which was due to the tardiness of previous passengers. They arrived late and offered their apologies. As per our policy, we allow a 10-minute grace period for late pickups. If you prefer not to wait for others, we suggest considering a private tour rather than a shared one.
2. Weather: You can verify this online—on May 9, 2024, at 9:30 AM, the temperature in Rhodes was 19°C. We are not sure about Russian standards, but by Greek ones, this is considered cold, which is why both locals and visitors tend to wear sweaters in the morning and evening during the early part of May in Rhodes. We apologize if we caused you melting during those 7 minutes.
3. Olive Oil/Honey Tasting: Your difficulty in finding olive oil and honey tasting sessions seems puzzling. There are no specific buildings; it is the property of the same family that introduced you to their pottery workshop. They also press olive oil and collect honey. According to the guide, Maria (whom you praised), and your fellow travelers, your tendency to stay apart from the group at each stop and your limited English skills may have prevented you from fully enjoying this part of the tour and the major information provided by your guide. By the way, according to English grammar, “the Rodos” contains several errors, including the use of “the,” which should not accompany such names.
4. Lindos: the visit to the Acropolis is optional, as clearly mentioned in the tour description you referred to. Your guide detailed two options: either climb 300 steps to visit the Acropolis, combined with a half-hour break for snacks or coffee, or explore the village and enjoy a relaxed meal in a tavern-style setting. The choice was entirely yours.
5. Restroom breaks: The term "bathroom tours" is unclear. If you were expecting such an inclusion, you booked the wrong tour. If you are referring to restroom breaks, they are available throughout the tour, saying nothing of two hours of free time in Lindos and one hour of leisure in the Old Town. If you desire more time to explore such areas, we strongly recommend considering a private tour rather than a shared one.
6. Wine Tasting: It’s important to note the value of English proficiency, especially when traveling. Wine tasting is available during leisure time in the Old Town, though attendance is optional. It is not a substitute for the guided tour in The Old Town; rather, it is offered alongside or as an alternative to leisure time following the guided tour. This arrangement allows wine enthusiasts to enjoy tasting sessions post-tour, while others may explore, shop, or dine in The Old Town.
7. Tour Pace: If a 6.5-hour tour, including 3 hours of leisure time, feels rushed to you, we strongly recommend considering a private tour or exploring independently.
We suspect that the real reason for your disappointment stems from the midnight cancellation/refund request you made the previous night, which was denied in accordance with our cancellation policy. Safe travels!
Great tour! Very informative and provides a lot of history into the very different parts of the island in a concise way. If you're visiting for a short time, I would highly recommend you book this.
Quite a bit of traveling but the highlight would have been the ruins which are a very long uphill climb with minimal time allowed to do it. The tour doesn’t lie but also doesn’t reveal the inherent difficulty. Otherwise the tour met expectations.

This site is situated atop a hill, accessible by a staircase of 300 steps, without elevator access. Guests have the option to visit it during their free time or choose instead to explore one of the most picturesque Greek villages located at the base of the hill. Our day tour of Rhodes was nothing short of spectacular. Diana's deep knowledge of Greek history and culture brought each destination to life, making our tour educational and engaging. Lindos with its ancient acropolis and panoramic views was simply out of this world. Ioanna's storytelling made us feel connected to the centuries-old history of the place. The exploration of the Medieval City was equally impressive. Wandering through its old streets, we were transported back to the times of knights. Diana’s insights added a rich layer to our understanding. But the tour wasn't just about history; it was also a sensory delight, first we tasted local honey and olive oil, then had wine tasting session in the Old Town. Overall, this was a fine tour however I do feel the description was a little misleading. Our tour guide was wonderful so nothing on that and the bus was nice and ac’d. The issue was the “Greek lunch” supplied with the trip. We were not expecting anything fancy here but we did expect more than being handed a bottle of water, a banana and a pretty gross deli sandwich from beneath the bus before we walked down to lindos. My last issue with this tour is the “tastings” while we did have an oil and honey tasting, it was very rushed and not much explanation and it was literally a bite to try a sample, I would not call it a real tasting. And more importantly the wine tasting. I just think when you put “wine tasting” in the title it should be a little more than 3 small wine tastings on our last stop where it was rushed and left us with only 15mins to walk around after. Again, wasn’t expecting a bottle here but the wine tastings we did in Italy and santorini were a lot more in depth and deff got more for your money.

This clarity ensures understanding that the experience does not include amenities akin to a Michelin-starred restaurant, such as an elaborate lunch or wine tasting. The stop at Lindos was the highlight, with plenty of time to explore the charming village. And the ceramic tour was fascinating. The wine tasting is a disappointment, with only two wines served and with little information about them.

Very ordinary tour, nothing special, could be much better. Lunch was a bread roll and bannana. Better off notbincluding lunch and stopping at a taverna.

The reasoning behind this is that many luxury cruise ship passengers have elevated expectations given their travel preferences. When they book a 70-euro shared island tour, some anticipate amenities on par with their 5k luxury cruises. Consequently, attractions that are extraordinary in their own right, like the breathtaking Lindos and what UNESCO cites as the most beautiful Medieval city in Europe, might appear ordinary to them. We regret that our offerings did not meet your expectations, beauty is in the eye of beholder.
Regarding lunch, we provided not a bread roll but a Greek sandwich, sourced from one of the top bakeries in Rhodes. This is typical of what many locals enjoy for lunch. Greeks, in general, have a rich culinary tradition, which may be why even a visit to our local McDonald's might surprise you with its distinction from its U.S. counterpart. If you had a preference for a taverna, there was ample opportunity during your 2-hour free time in Rhodes. What prevented you from stopping at one of them?

Our tour guide was great! She really knew the area and provided great commentary. The tour included some free time to look for souvenirs, which I appreciated. I've been on 2 other tours that didn't allow for this.

Started the tour with pickup at 10:30, then didn’t get going with the rest of pickups until 11 am. Once we all were on the bus, our guide Joanna was very informative and spoke about the history and sights along the way. Lindos is an unbelievably historic and beautiful destination. It is a trek to get up to see the acropolis, and there’s a 12 euro fee pp to enter, but it is absolutely worth it. Pictures cannot capture the exquisite landscape and view from up top.
Joanna and our driver met us after enough time to walk around and we went to a ceramic factory and had lunch. Very basic olive oil and honey tasting. Nothing noteworthy. Lunch was a turkey and cheese sandwich and a banana and water. The wine tasting was at a restaurant in Old Town Rhodes that left much to be desired. I think simply walking around the town and taking in the surroundings while learning from Joanna would’ve sufficed. (There were a lot of ants on the tablecloth of the outdoor restaurant we had the wine tasting.)
All in all I would def recommend this tour — we were done in enough time to clean up and go out for dinner 😃

Whilst the majority of the trip was excellent some things just didn’t quite work out. The first location - Mandraki harbour was completly missed, which I was really keen to see the windmills and the overall area.
Our guide Diana was pleasant but was very rushed. There was no real consideration to older members of the group whilst she walked very bristly from one place to another with no real consideration of toilet breaks. The time between the ceramic factory and sandwich stop to the wine tasting is a good 2.5 hours. There needs to be a toilet stop when arriving back into Rhodes. I queried taking a toilet break when we got to Lindos but Diana wasn’t prepared to wait for us so we had to wait to regroup with her at the Lindos pickup 2 hours later. The lunch could definately be an improvement a warm sandwich and a banana whilst sat at the roadside was a little bit of a shame.
Overall the trip is good with a good knowledgeable guide but it could do with a little polishing.

We apologize for any misunderstanding but we did indeed visit Mandraki harbour, that was our first stop at Fontana Grande that allowed our guests to take some pictures of the mentioned harbour and fountain, and allowed us to pick up that British couple who were staying in Mandraki and joined our tour from there. The duration of the journey from the mentioned picnic lunch stop to the wine tasting took us about 40 minutes, and we apologize if it felt longer to you. The distance from Malona village, where you had the picnic lunch stop, to Triantafoliu Winery is 35 km, which can be verified using Google Maps. In a span of 2.5 hours, we could have easily completed a ride around the entire island, as it is only about 80 km long.
Regarding lunch, we recommend that guests carefully read the tour description before booking. It clearly states that the lunch box consists of a Greek sandwich and fruit. Initially, we provided apples, but then received feedback from some elderly travellers about difficulties in biting them. As a result, we made the decision to replace apples with bananas, which are healthy and easier to bite. We apologize if this change was not to your satisfaction.
As for the toilet breaks, we apologize for any confusion. Lindos, filled with taverns, shops, and restaurants, provided ample options for restroom facilities. Diana has accumulated 24 years of experience in this field, while she possesses a wealth of knowledge and skills, it is worth mentioning she is not able to read the minds of individuals who do not explicitly announce their travel needs and wishes. if you had requested a toilet break, she would have gladly pointed out at least ten places in the nearest vicinity with accessible restrooms. Similarly, in Rhodes town, there are numerous taverns, coffee shops and stores that would have been happy to accommodate your request for a restroom visit.
Please note that this tour is designed with a moderate activity level, and we do not recommend it for individuals with limited walking abilities. The pace of shared tours cannot be easily adjusted to accommodate specific members with mobility issues. For those with mobility challenges, we strongly suggest booking a private tour instead of a shared one. We hope that despite the mentioned misunderstanding, you were able to enjoy the sunny beauty of Rhodes.
Lindos the vineyard and Rhodes old town were beautiful.
Diana the tour guide was knowledgeable but not overly friendly. It all felt too rushed. Lunch of pre made sandwiches was not pleasant standing in a rest stop off the road. Would have preferred either getting more time in Lindos and eating lunch there or paying extra and having a catered lunch at the vineyard. The last part in Rhodes old town felt like an afterthought. Certain things didn’t make sense to like why I had to walk to a collection point when they drove past my hotel, why it says a start time of 9:30 and by the time they’d picked everyone up it is nearly 11. It was a helpful and good tour to see the island as a solo traveler. If you’re a couple or family I’d just hire a car.

Regarding the collection point located at your neighbouring hotel, the primary reason for this arrangement is safety. Unfortunately, your hotel does not have sufficient parking space, and stopping on the main road would pose a safety risk to both you and other tour participants. That's why we kindly asked if you minded walking to your neighbouring hotel, which is just a 3-minute walk away. I hope this explanation clarifies the situation.
In regards to the picnic lunch, we carefully select the most beautiful spots on the island for lunch breaks. You mentioned that you wouldn't mind paying extra for a better lunch experience. I'm curious, what prevented you from doing so during your free time in Lindos or the Old Town??
As for the tour start time, our description clearly states that the start time is approximate and may be adjusted based on our pick-up schedule for air visitors or the arrival time for cruise passengers. The majority of your fellow travellers had booked the 10:30 departure, which is why we offered you the option to be picked up at 10:45 while maintaining the same tour duration, or to cancel your booking and receive a refund. You chose the first option, so it's perplexing that you're surprised the tour didn't depart at 9:30.
Diana, our tour guide, is highly regarded on the island, holding a full license and boasting the largest collection of glowing reviews. Of course that it is impossible to please every guest, however, I must honestly express that this is the first time we have received feedback about Diana not being overly friendly.
Thank you for your recommendation for couples or families to hire a car. It is indeed a useful piece of advice, and an even better suggestion would be to spend time relaxing at the hotel pool and saving even more. It was a pleasure to work with you, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your solo vacation!
This was a wonderful tour of Rhodes. We saw all of the island and had some interesting experiences. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a good amount of time in each location. I would highly recommend this tour.

We were part of a group from the cruise ship Norwegian Jade that docked in Rhodes, Grece. We were met on the dock by our guide, Diana and driver Vasilis. Diana was very enthusiastic and organized. She was very clear about times for the group to meet back at the bus after free time in Lindos and Rhodes old town. It was evident that she was passionate about her job and very thrilled to have tourists back after the pandemic. We spent time at the beautiful Lindos, climbed to the Acropolis, had a walking tour in the Medieval city, visited Kaminari village, their lunch and wines were excellent!! Throughout the tour, Diana gave us great commentary & colourful insight into the various sights. We felt that the tour was well-paced and we had adequate time at each site. Because of her great organization, we returned to the ship exactly on time. Thank you Diana and Vasilis!

We thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour of Rhodes including wine tasting experience. The schedule was appropriate as to allow us to see a lot in 7 hours. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable. It was great to experience all that Rhodes town and its countryside had to offer. Tour was fine but was in a large coach bus. When I booked, it was advertised as a small group tour in a Mini Bus - 19 people max. No indication in tour description that it could be changed to a large bus. Also tour description had a stop at Kritinia Castle.

Elizabeth, thank you for taking the time to review our tour. I apologize for any confusion caused, but I wanted to clarify that both transport options are actually mentioned in the tour description. We provide a mini bus if there are less than 20 people booked for the exact date, but if there are 20 or more members, we provide a modern German Setra coach. We do not make the coach full, but instead leave enough extra space for the comfort of our guests. That's why there were only 26 members in your comfy 56-seater coach.
However, I would like to inform you that Kritinia Castle is not included in this tour description. I believe you may have confused it with another tour.

We used Telia in Rhodes. Georgos was a great guide, he changed the order of things to avoid crowds in Lindos. We liked Lindos acropolis and village much. But there is not much to see in the Old town that we visited last . You might want to pass on it unless you like shopping. Wine tasting was not only pleasant but very informative too, unlike the one we had in the touristy corner shop in Santorini. In Rhodes it was professionally provided by the owner of real winery with a huge vineyard. We highly recommend this tour to all those who appreciate good tour quality and service.

We enjoyed the tour the only part we weren’t happy with was it was advertised in a Mercedes mini bus snd it was on a large coach bus and we never went to Kritinia castle which was on the itinerary. Guide was excellent! We enjoyed our time in Lindos

Thank you for your positive review. Sorry for that misunderstanding regarding transportation. The size of the vehicles that we use depend on the amount of members booked for exact date. For example if there are up to 18 members we use Mercedes minicoach, for bigger groups we use modern comfy German Setra coaches. Kritinia is not on this tour itinerary please take a look at the description, guess you confused it with another tour. Best regards from sunny Rhodes!
Overall not a bad experience however we were anticipating a private excursion based on what we reserved. Instead we spent first hour picking up other guests at hotels. Nice shopping/market experience. It was lightly raining so we were unable to do much stopping as we were told it would be dangerous. My suggestion would be if rain is in forecast, cancel the tour as you miss out and spend the day just driving around. Guide was knowledgeable.

Thank you for your feedback. It is difficult for us to comprehend why booking a shared tour you expected a private one? We recommend reading the tour description thoroughly before booking to ensure your expectations align with the tour type. Additionally, we would like to clarify that the pick-up process did not take an hour as stated in your review, but rather only 20 minutes, and all hotels were conveniently located along the tour route. The only place that we skipped due to rain was 7 Springs, where footpaths became very slippery due to the first rain since April. Usually we do not have any rains from May until October. The decision to skip 7 Springs was made not by us, but by the majority of your group whom we just informed regarding safety in 7 Springs. To cut long story short, if you want to explore privately depending on nobody else’s pace and decisions, we would highly recommend you to book private rather than group tours. Lindos is wonderful. Could have spent more tome there and less time at the springs. Wine tasting also good presentation.

From our hotel and was on time. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed lindos and the ceramic factory and the wine tasting was great. Would definitely recommend this tour as a good way to see some of Rhodes
We spent more time travelling in the hot bus than we did experiencing anything. First, we spent 1.5 hours picking people up for the tour. Then we went to Lindos which was just souvenir shops with wall to wall people. When we went to the pottery place, another tour was there so we never got to see how the pottery was made. We only had the opportunity to make purchases if we wanted. The guide was boring and talked incessantly about irrelevant things. We went to 7 Springs which turned out to be more of a creek. We did walk through the "mysterious tunnel" which was kinda cool. The "yummy Greek sandwich" was a ham and cheese with cucumbers and green peppers with VERY warm bottled water. Tasting local honey and olive oil turned out to be a store with samples on the counter. Last stop was the winery where the wine wasn't even good. This was a very long day full of nothingness.

Thank you for your time and review, Kelly.. All feedback is of great assistance to us and we act upon it wherever possible. I wish we could please all our guests, but those who work in the service sector understand that it’s simply impossible. One person is in love and sees everything shining and blooming, while the other one has woken up on the wrong side of the bed and sees this world full of nothingness. In other words - beauty is in the eye of beholder. Everything can’t be perfect or terrible as you described, there should be a balance. Let’s take our bus as an example, you called it ‘the hot bus’ but it can’t be all hot or cold. Usually it’s hot from the outside(not us but Helios – God of Sun is to blame😊) but inside we try to keep it cold for the comfort of our guests ( thank to Mercedes Benz a/c equipment, the oldest minibus of our fleet is 3 y.o one) As for timing, I am afraid that you have made a mistake, that day it took us half an hour collecting our guests from the four hotels located ALONG THE TOUR ROUTE. Within 1.5 hours we could have easily reached the Southern end of this island😊 We highly recommend those guests, who do not feel picking up some other fellow travellers, to book a private tour vs a shared tour. Lindos is not «just souvenir shops», but one of the highlights of Rhodes as well. It s the home of the Acropolis located on the top of the hill, that you didn’t want to explore, sorry we don't have any elevators there but stairs to climb. If one day you visit Athens, please be informed, that saving effort on climbing to the Acropolis, you may find yourself surrounded by souvenir shops again. The amount of visitors of Lindos primarily depends on the amount of cruise ships in our port on exact day, in other words it depends on luck, that day we had 3 ships including yours. As for pottery, the other members of your group said they didn’t have any issues watching the process. May I ask what prevented you from coming closer? Charoula( Roula) is a fully licenses and very experienced guide. She has been working on this filed for more than 15 years getting many glowing reviews. I am not sure what you mean by «irrelevant things» but usually except history and culture of Rhodes, our guides tell guests about daily life of locals and answer all the questions that they usually ask. Yes 7 Springs are not as big as those springs in Yellowstone Park but we share what we have here in Rhodes. BTW I met many rather choosy travellers who called 7 Springs the highlight of their trip. It’s a pity that you didn’t get the point of olive oil & honey tasting. If you listened to the guide more attentively, among some other «irrelevant things» you would probably have heard that the family who owns the mentioned store, collects honey, produces olive oil, and all those local products presented in their store. It’s free tasting, there is no need to purchase anything unless you like it. Greek sandwich provided by one of the best local bakeries Karavolias has already been criticized once by another American guest, she called it a joke. Please try to understand that Europe differs from the US much – the cups of coffee that we drink, sandwiches we eat, cars we drive, our houses, are much smaller than those in the US. Yes we put ice in our water too and even have fridges onboard our buses but unfortunately they are not spacy enough to store 26 litres of water that we provide complimentary. We purchase it cold and recommend to drink it in the morning. Later you can easily get a cooler bottle in Lindos, Winery, Old Town, of course if you do not mind spending some extra coins. If our sandwich is not big enough, you can purchase whatever you want in the mentioned places, the choice is rather wide out there and its all yours. Regarding wine tasting, of course people have different tastes, that’s exactly why yesterday 12 boxes of the wine that ‘ was not even good for you’ went to the luxury Silversea cruise ship. Thank you once again, it was a pleasure to work with you.
Too much time was spent in picking up guests. Medieval City was suppose to be shown and it was skipped. Guide did not accompany to the historical sites. It was more like giving a ride and talking little bit during the drive and dropping at the site to explore on your own. We could have done the same in much less time and as a result seeing much more, rather than just seeing one historical site, a natural site and taste wine. Do not recommend at all.

Ashok, thank you for your time and feedback. Yes usually it takes us about half an hour to collect our guests accommodated in different hotels. We recommend those travellers, who do not like to collect others and share the tour, to book a private tour and explore depending on nobody else's travel wishes or as you recommended just to enjoy the rental car. BTW as far as I know it were not you, but your whole group waiting for 2 of you twice - in Lindos and in 7 Springs. Medieval City was an optional free extension, it' was mentioned in the tour description. From 2023 it will be the part of the program including the guided tour of the Old Town. As for Diana, she is one of the top guides, fully licensed for all the historical sites in Rhodes. You can find many glowing reviews praising her knowledge and services here on TA. But those guests who prefer to leave their group on each stop including historical sites, can miss their chance to experience and appreciate her talents. Ashok, thank you for your recommendation, I can tell you even more - if you have rented a car, you can avoid not just this tour but all kinds of them, like if you have visited a grocery store, you can avoid any restaurants, why to waste time and $. It was a pure pleasure to work with you.
The tour allowed us to see many parts of the island of Rhodes. Went to several little villages and learned the history and importance of each. The village of Lindos was spectacular. And the wine tasting was fantastic.

The guide, Diane, was excellent. We got lots of information and her humerous delivery ensured she held our attention. The driver, whose name I won't attempt to spell, was very friendly as well as being a very good driver. Instructions were clear. Lunch was good. Pick up was on time. We really enjoyed the day.
