For the private tour option: we offer the Hotel pick-up between Reims and Epernay. Please contact us before by message to arrange the pick-up location and time. End of the tour at your hotel. For the group tour option: We meet you at the Reims Cathedral at 9:30am, or if you let us know in advance at 9:15am at the Reims city train station if you are coming from Paris.

The tour is in English but depending on days our guides can help and speak french, italian, portuguese and spanish. If you privatise the tour and arrange it in advance we can attribute to you a portuguese or italian or spanish or french speaking guide.
Tour starts in front of the Reims Cathedral, left side gate at 9:30am. We can meet you as well at the Reims train station at 9:15am if you arrive from Paris, but let us know in advance to arrange pick-up. On some days, we have tours departing from Paris. Please send us a message asap if you prefer to book that option, seats are limited.

Tour finishes around 5pm in Epernay Avenue de Champagne so you can follow your journey in the most famous Champagne bars as Moët & Chandon, Perrier & Jouet.. . Train station is just 150meters away where you can go back easily to Reims (every 30min during week day and 3€ pp if you book it in advance, 5:32pm train for exemple). Or go back to Paris direct from Epernay (every hour on week days, 5:29pm train for exemple).
If you book the private option hotel pick-up and drop-off are included around Reims, Epernay,. Please contact us in advance to arrange the pick-up
During the break time for lunch, we book already a restaurant for you according to the logistic of the tour as we change everyday the wineries we visit. Restaurants adapt to diet restrictions.
The van can fit a stroller or a compact wheelchair, please let us know in advance at time of booking so we will book no stairs wineries. We have as well infant seats available but limited, please let us know in advance age of children.
Minimum legal drinking age is 18 years old.

This tour was exceptional, with a great, knowledgeable guide. Our party got picked up by Luiz in a van at the Reims train station. We went on a Monday (which I think is a less good choice for a day because many places are closed on Mondays). We went to the cathedral Reims first, then a more well known/ bigger winery for the first tasting and tour through their cellars, then a drive to Épernay; where we had lunch with the party and Luiz, and it was delicious. Then before we had another winery visit, a little walk down Avenue de Champagne in Épernay, a very private winery tour at a family owned winery for a delicious tasting, seeing Dom Perifnon’s grave, and then a little more champagne to drink at a park after that. We then took the train from Épernay back to Paris. Very lovely day trip from Paris and great selection of wineries and activities. I bought wine at both of wineries we went to, and my friend said while she usually gets a champagne headache, that didn’t happen here. It was clear the whole city (in each place) knew and respected Luiz and for good reason. Highly recommend any of his tours!!

An Intimate Introduction to Champagne

We had an amazing time on this tour with Luiz! Our group was small, it felt more like visiting a friend in Champagne than a formal tour which we really loved. Our tastings were in private and with very knowledgable, friendly people/owners of the wineries. All the champagne was exceptional, of course, and Luiz added so much interesting information about not only the wine, but also the history of the region and its people!

Luis was our guide. We were the first tour of the season so ended up getting a private experience. He was a very good guide, communicated in advance, answered all questions and was friendly. We went to one small, local family owned champagne house and a larger one. Seeing the difference between the two was wonderful experience. Only thing to note is if book this tour it wasn't 100% clear the the tour picks you up in Reims but ends in Epernay. Luckily trains at cheap and every hour between the cities, but that did come as a bit of a surprise when we found this out halfway through the tour.

The tour was absolutely wonderful! We visited so many different kinds of wineries — from local hidden gems to famous ones — and each had its own charm. Our guide was fantastic! He explained everything so clearly, and we learned so much while having a great time along the way. It was such an amazing experience — highly recommended!!

Wonderful (cold) day in Champagne

We booked last minute due to issues with a booking through another service, and thankfully Luiz was able to accommodate us. Due to the time of year (early January), it was only one other couple on the tour. This did make the day feel much more personalized, but I am sure Luiz works to make every tour personal. We had a wonderful day, and Luiz has an incredible knowledge of the history of the area, the history of France, and the history of Champagne. Luiz picked a great place for lunch for us, and two wonderful vineyards. We will not hesitate to book again with Luiz.
