We really struggled to decide whether to do this trip or the blue lagoon but we are so pleased we did the reef. What an incredible day, to a unique place. The guide Marius was amazing, knowledgeable and friendly. Cannot recommend this trip enough, it will surpass your expectations, its so different from anything else we have done in French Polynesia.

This was really a great trip. Our guides were friendly and informative. Even though the ride there and back was a bit long, the place was beautiful. The pools were gorgeous, and the beach was great. The coral formations were really interesting too. We were served a nice lunch and a drink. We were able to go snorkeling and even saw a group of sharks up close. and we had time to wander along the beach before heading back. We would definitely recommend this tour.

This tour exceeded our expectations. The boat ride can be a little bumpy at times depending on the weather, but the destinations are absolutely worth it. We started at Reef Island, a truly unique spot with incredible sea life to enjoy.
Lunch was top-notch. My husband loved the fish and chicken options, and since I had notified them in advance that I’m vegetarian, they kindly prepared a personal salad with the most delicious ginger vinaigrette—it was such a thoughtful touch.
After lunch we had time to explore the area before heading to the “aquarium,” named for the hundreds of fish swimming all around. The highlight for us, though, was the dolphins. It was thrilling to be in the middle of their playground, watching them leap through the waves around us and even approach our boat as if inviting us to join the fun. It was truly epic.
As the only non-French-speaking guests, we also appreciated that our guide took the time to translate everything into English for us. Overall, an unforgettable experience!

Rangiroa Excursions did not wait for us to arrive from the ship. Conflicting stories. They said they'd wait until 9:20. We were on the 1st tender (with the Cruise Director and others) and arrived at 9:24, they claim they waited until 9:32. Weird. Cruise Director tried calling them, but no luck. We were at the ships mercy onb arriving 4 minutes late. I'm sure it would have been awesome. They did issue us a full refund.

Captain Mat and his nephew were incredible the entire tour! Wonderful boat ride across the lagoon to witness a whole other kind of beautiful. Volcanic land structures and amazing coral reefs with stunning snorkeling opportunities. Homemade lunch was prepared perfectly in Mat’s “Office”. Saw dolphins on our boat ride back! So very cool! Thanks again! We will never forget you guys!

Attention personnes qui ont le mal de mer, passez votre chemin car pour se rendre à l’île aux récifs 45’ de bateau et le trajet est assez sportif avec des vagues et des cirés fournis par la compagnie! Mais l’arrivée est splendide ensuite, paysages que l’on ne retrouve nul par ailleurs
