Over two hour boat ride to Blue Lagoon. Should not be done by anyone with bad back. Very rough ride.
Guide was good, but late to show up. No dolphins.
Blue Lagoon area is beautiful. Lots of little sharks swim around your feet, but snorkeling there not worthwhile.
Good lunch. Nice braided hats.

Great experience. Our hosts were very gracious! By boat, we followed a pod of spinner dolphins. We saw sting rays and baby black tip reef sharks. The blue lagoon was beautiful.

The tour was great, but be prepared for an hour boat ride out to the blue lagoon & back to the pier. If you get sea sick, take your meds as the waters can be a little rough in certain areas.
They also have to anchor the boats in shallow water so you will have to walk in the water to pink sand beach. This can be a little difficult for anyone with mobility issues as we witnessed.
The guides were awesome & very hospitable.
Lunch consisted of coconut snacks, crab, poke, chicken, veggies, rice, coconut cake & rum punch.
The marine life consisted of smaller/juvenile black tip reef sharks, sting rays & a variety of tropical fish. We also came across a small pod of spinner dolphins.

This was one of the best excursions ever!! The scenery and experience was out of this world amazing and highly recommend it!

My favorite experience in nature on my 51 day cruise in the South Pacific. From the blue hole and black tips to the pink sand island and the aquarium.

A truly wonderful day capped off with the gude taking us to a place with big waves where we saw may dolphins jump out of the water. Mzke sure you have good water shoos for the work to shore, the water close to share is too shallow for the bout.

We visited some very beautiful places and had a great time. It seemed like we spent more time in some of the less interesting places and not as much time in some of the more interesting places. But overall, I really was happy to go on this excursion and see these beautiful sites.

Beautiful Blue Lagoon, kind staff, delicious lunch on small island. Good snorkeling at the Aquarium, take care, strong current, stay close to boat.

Be ready for very rough boat ride out & back , the destination is well worth the effort. The captain & crew were awesome

It was a fabulous day. The crew (of 2) were friendly and keen for us to enjoy the tour, providing insights at each stage, for snorkelling. The pink sand was amazing, and it was such a joy to see a beauriful pristine environment. The food prepared at the blue lagoon was generous and delicious. We were kept entertained during the weaving session. The weather conditions on our day did change, and the crew did their best to ensure everyone felt secure and comfortable.

A really great experience for us! The pink sand beach and blue lagoon is one of the top ten most beautiful sites - worth the trip. The lunch was delicious and the “aquarium” so called for the hundreds of fishes in the area was remarkable.

This excursion was one of our favorites while visiting 7 islands in French Polynesia. The boat ride out was beautiful and the pink sand beach was gorgeous. Lunch was absolutely amazing. One of the best meals!

This was an exceptional excursion and I'm so glad we had the opportunity to book this adventure. The crew was professional and welcoming. The blue lagoon is a must see if you're going to be on the island. It is idyllic and truly a one of a kind experience. Words and pictures does not convey the beauty of this location. A couple of things to note, 1) book in advance because it does sell out and you'll regret not going 2) the boat ride out is appox an hour, one way so make sure you're prepared for a long boat ride 3) there is a lot of motion getting out to the lagoon (and back) so make sure to take something for motion sickness or wear a patch., a wrist sea band might not be sufficient. 4) if your vegetarian or vegan, consider packing a lunch. They made a wonderful BBQ with a variety of fish, chicken, coconut crab, rice, cornbread and coconut bread. The food was exceptional.

Really enjoyed our excursion. The blu lagoon is beautiful. Our tour guide was great. We were the only Americans on our trip, and we don’t speak any french. The guide did a great job speaking in French and translating to english to make sure we felt included. Lunch was delicious one of our favorite meals. Highly recommended!

Honestly the best excursion in all of Rangiroa! The views were insane. The food was sooo good- probably the best meal we had in Rangiroa. The first and second captain made it an unforgettable experience for us. We had a little bit of a language barrier as we only speak English, but they made such an effort with us and really made it worth while. Thank you for making this the highlight of our honeymoon.

The locations on Rangiroa (the passes - especially drift snorkelling Avatoru, the blue lagoon, the pink sands...) sell themselves without the tour guides needing to do anything. However, compared with other similar excursions in Polynesia, we missed the animation and engagement that can really make such a day. We were lucky to be able to understand some French because the guides really weren't able to say much in English but even in French the communication was minimalist and there was certainly no singing/music/"vibe". There wasn't any water offered at all on the boat, let alone beer or rum punch. At lunch there was some juice/water and a mouthful of local wine but nothing else. The food was nice enough and the usual motu fare. At the sands and blue lagoon it was very unclear what was happening when and we found ourselves having left our suncream on the boat. Thankfully we didn't burn much at the blue lagoon. There were some kids from the other boat on our tour that thought it'd be amusing to chase the baby sharks and throw lumps of coral at them and the guides did absolutely nothing. The parents also just nervously laughed from a distance when we ourselves repeatedly said no to them. That did the trick thankfully but again it was indicative of the fact that the "guides" were more just taxi drivers taking us from one spot to the next. As per other reviews, the boat ride across the lagoon is quite a trip and thankfully we picked a good day for it. Not an awful lot the tour(s) can do about it though other than travelling considerably slower, which would really eat up the day. On the whole we enjoyed the day and in particular the multitude of adult and baby sharks around the pink sands is quite special. We'd recommend the itinerary but not necessarily the company though.

Wonderful time with great crew and boat in a beautiful place. The only thing that I could add- we did not stop at the end of the day to attempt snorkeling with nurse sharks in town, but we were all tired from day's activities

We received a call the night before to let us know they would not be offering the tour and wanted us to rebook for 2 days later. We were leaving the next day, so that was not possible. They found us another Blue Lagoon tour to go on; however, it did NOT include the pink sand beach (the reason I booked this specific tour was for the pink sands). We were very disappointed... However, I gave the tour 5 stars because the tour we did go on was awesome! We saw a ton of fish snorkeling and the friendly reef sharks were plentiful. We enjoyed a delicious lunch on the motu followed by a hat-weaving demonstration. We ended the tour back at the Tiputa Pass dolphin watching and snorkeling in the 'aquarium'.
The guide spoke little English, but it was enough to get us by (and what he did know, he was hilarious). The boat ride to the lagoon is long and rough, so if you don't like boats, I would not book this tour. Also, the small boat we took from the beach across the lagoon to the snorkeling spot broke down halfway across the lagoon. Thankfully, my husband knew how to work on the older 2-stroke engines and was able to get it running again (otherwise we might still be floating around the lagoon). Even though there were some bumps, it was a great tour and a beautiful day at the lagoon!

Several things to note about this trip. If you leave from Rangiroa the trip to the Blue Lagoon is an hour away by speed boat. This is a very rough trip with the boat hitting the water really hard when it goes over a wave. If you have ANY kind of back issues, this is going to cause excruciating pain. Further, on the day we departed it was overcast but not raining in Rangiroa but the closer we got to the Blue Lagoon the worse the weather got, to the point that it was raining so hard that visibility went to near zero. In addition, we were in storm conditions with lightning and thunder for over 2 hours.
Note that the boat will ground itself on a sand bar at the atoll and you must walk to shore, not any easy feat if you have any physical limitations at all, roughly 50 yards through the water. Getting in & out of the boat for several of us was horribly difficult. Walking back to the boat from the atoll was done in the water with a lightning storm all around us. It’s a miracle none of us were struck by lightning. It was terrifying.
As we approached the Blue Lagoon area the skies were dark grey and we soon encountered the rain and storms. It stayed like this until just before we got back to the dock in Rangiroa, meaning we were pelted with hard rain for almost an hour back to the dock. If you’ve ever had this happen in a speed boat, you know how painful it is. Overall, it was inexcusable for this company to take a group out knowing the weather. So my advice? Check the weather the day you’re supposed to go out. Do not rely on the tour company to cancel a tour if the weather is bad. Cancel if it’s supposed to rain.

This was a long but really enjoyable day. It is a great way to spend an afternoon on a white sandy beach on a motu that you do not have on the mainland.
The coral garden wasn’t the best we had seen since we had been in French Polynesia but still lovely to snorkel. This is a place for diving more than snorkelling but we were glad to have seen it regardless. The day we had the tour there were not as many sharks and the water was not as clear as Bora Bora or Moorea (although we had had a lot of rain the day before) but still a great encounter to see black tip sharks and stingrays.
The guide/captain and chef were a good laugh, a shame he didn’t speak a little more English to explain some of the birds and about the island.
The lunch was authentic and delicious with a welcomed glass of Tahitian wine or beer.
The guide played the ukelele and sang which was a really nice touch. They also taught us traditional Tahitian crafts and methods of opening coconuts.
We hit bad weather on the way back but the captain and the chef ensured we were safe and warm with waterproof jackets and was a great boat driver to prevent sea sickness!! It is a minimum of 1 hour trip each way so be prepared for a little adventure!
We would recommend this for a day in Rangiroa if you have a few days there and wish to have a break from diving.

Lots of sharks around the island and the blue lagoon! The boat trip takes a hour to get to the lagoon and you will get very wet! Lunch did take a bit of time which could have been at least half a hour shorter but the view is nice so no problem!

The day didn’t go as planned and the program lacked a bit of pace, with a lot of Waiting time. When visiting Bird Island, there was very little explanation – perhaps because the majority of the group was English-speaking and the guides were not totally comfortable with English, which is understandable but a little frustrating because the place is beautiful and deserves to be better explained.
The braiding workshop was advertised, but in the end the guides simply weaved hats on their side without showing or inviting the group to participate. It would be great to be able to learn to braid yourself, especially since there were several timeouts where it would have kept everyone busy.
The aperitif and meal were supposed to be music, but unfortunately, no ukulele or musical Mood.
On the other hand, the food was excellent and the scenery really beautiful throughout the day.
The snorkeling at the blue lagoon was pleasant but a little long, because there is not much to observe. We didn’t have the chance to see the dolphins by the way, which is part of the game with nature, but we also didn’t have the opportunity to snorkel in the way, when the conditions seemed good and the current was in.
In summary, an excursion in a splendid setting, with a very good meal and a beautiful navigation, but which could become exceptional with a little more explanations, interactions and coherence with the announced program.

The places visited are very beautiful, however the boat was overcrowded and the guides spoke very little English; consequently, while for the French detailed explanations of the activities and descriptions of the places were given, for those who spoke another language (English) hardly any information was given. This made the experience unenjoyable in general. In addition, the guides persisted in feeding fish and sharks to push them to rise to the surface, an activity that is in fact contraindicated because it interferes with the ecosystem and could make the sharks themselves aggressive because of the presence of food.

If you want a something more private you better pay a private tour to be alone on the boat.
Our Guide speaks Tahitian language, french and english but English is not their natural language, so they try their best to give a good explanation to everyone.
We do not practice shark feeding and you better care about all the Aquarium that keeps wild animals captive. Our fish and sharks can swim free and happy.
Thank you !
