Take in the beauty of the majestic Rio Celeste in Alajuela province, the canton of Guatuso, inside of the Tenorio Volcano National Park. This tour was so much fun and our guide Alonzo was so knowledgeable! The views were beautiful and breathtaking. Alonzo really made the hike memorable by pointing out all the wildlife. The sloth sanctuary was amazing and we were able to see so many animals! 10/10 would do again!

This was a perfect day exploring the rainforest. We were a group of 4, ranging from ages 2 to 65. We were picked up promptly and taken to a nice breakfast. We then headed to Parque Nacional Volcan Tenerio about 2 hours away. The van was new and clean. The hike was good. The guide was very patient with us, taking lots of breaks for my senior mom. Once we made it to the waterfall, it was very beautiful. We took some photos and headed back. Once we exited the park, we stopped at a local fruit stand for snacks. We then went to the sloth watching part of the tour. We saw about 5 sloths, including a baby hanging out by the water. We also saw some snakes, frogs, and lots of beautiful plant life. We had a deliciois lunch and stopped at a souvenir shop before being dropped back off at our hotel room. I highly recommend!

It was beautiful! Our guide was fabulous. We were taken to a local spot for breakfast, hiked in the rain forest down to the waterfall, off to the sloth sanctuary where we saw sloths, frogs, birds with a guide that was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Stopped at a local place for lunch. Highly recommend. We had the best time! Of note, we ranged in age from 19-64 and we all survived!

Our experience with the tour company itself wasn’t a pleasant one. The day before I reached out to them multiple times to get the details around the meet up time, location, and driver. Never heard a thing. I ended up calling at 7 pm that night to get the details. The day of our tour, they had not provided security with the drivers details, so even with us staying onsite they wouldn’t let him in. The tour company’s solution was for me to work with the driver and security to get him through. We ended up losing an hour of our day because of this. Enrique our driver/guide was fantastic. Our day with him more than made up for the troubles on the front end. The tour itself was great, but my interaction with Aye tours was not.

Thank you for your review, we believe your rating is not in line with the tour you received.
Leaving aside the fact that you omitted the welcome message in your email and Enrique actually lost an hour because you didn't even know where you staying in a complex that is huge and if you don't give authorization you can't enter, which was really the case. what happened.
Nor did you send the full names of the people who were traveling with you.
Friends, Passport or ID information is essential to evit this type of comments

Tour was cancelled. We or Viator were not notified. Ruined a day of our Costa Rica trip. Do appreciate Viator determining why tour was cancelled and arranging our tour refund.

Hello, indeed, the tour was canceled due to a covid cases in our staff, a tourist alerted us to the case, tests were sent and all the staff in Guanacaste were infected, this is a disease that is still present and measures must be taken, our staff was suspended from Saturday until Friday, so those tours were canceled and notified to viator, even on Monday we are told you did not receive the same notification that they processed until Wednesday.
We are sorry viator has not communicated the cancellation, I also remind you that we do not process your cards so the refund is made directly by viator.

Our guide Armando was great. We had a wonderful experience and the restaurant for lunch had a fantastic view. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to spend time at Rio Celeste.

Rio Celeste was beautiful & it is worth the walk down the steep steps (and back up) for the view of the waterfall & beautiful waters of blue/green!
After the hike, our guide got us coconut water, pineappe, guava, and other fruits.
Breakfast & lunch included! There is a great souvenir shop at breakfast!
The sloth TOUR was incredible! Jorge was an excellent guide and took his time with us…even after the tour was over. He was great at capturing video & photos thru the binoculars on our personal phones and narrated what he was recording!
Coffee & cookies available before & after.Free, but you can leave a tip!

The kindness shown to us by the tour guide was really appreciated. The sloth adventure was the real surprise. We learned so much about Costa Rica’s ecology and we were delighted to see 5 different sloths.
