I had planned to go with a friend but she got sick, so I was solo. I was picked up at my hotel by a lovely driver (Juan) who was very friendly. The boat staff were terrific and we had a good time snorkeling, with a tasty chicken lunch after. The sunset was beautiful and we even saw a whale breach. Highly recommend!

Tour Cancelled

We followed all instructions for meetup and about 30 minutes after the scheduled start of the tour we were informed through Viator that the tour was cancelled. Frustrating to plan our day around this tour and have such a lack of communication and did not even find out until we inquired. Viator did nothing wrong but bummed to not get to experience this as it was too late in the day at that point to schedule a different boat tour.

It was a fun experience and we got see jumping mantarays (?) but the snorkelling wasn't too clear and didn't see much. We had some good drinks on board and had a great time overall.

Excellent friendly service, the staff were constantly asking if everyone needs anything. The boat went to a beautiful snorkelling/swimming spot and ended with dolphin sightings and an iconic sunset view. The only thing that prevented a 5th star was that the boat a little too crowded. At the max of 75 it wasn’t easy to move around or get a great spot to sit. That said, I’d still recommend it!.

They don’t give you full information about what the experience will be like. I have taken several boat tours at different destinations and I was expecting to board at a dock. No. You wade through surf to a small boat that takes you to the catamaran. You will be instantly wet from the waist down as the waves crash over the front of the little boat. The message before the tour said wear deck shoes. It doesn’t matter what kind of shoes you wear since they take them from you when boarding the catamaran. There was no safety briefing about life vests locations etc, nor do they mention the stinging jellyfish. It doesn’t hurt that bad but it would be nice to know before. The boat anchored so far from the snorkeling spot that only 2 people out of 40 made it that far. Still, I did enjoy swimming in the ocean but we probably only had a total of 40 minutes to do that. We saw a whale and lots of dolphins, which was awesome until I realized they are luring the dolphins with something on a fishing line they cast behind the boat. Personally I would rather not see them than disrupt them like that. The food was chicken, rice, refried beans, chips and fruit. The drinks were endless.

This briefing is part of the daily mandatory protocol, and it is given before every tour without exception, including the identification of life jackets and basic safety procedures. Because this is a standard requirement, it is surprising to hear that it may not have been delivered as expected. We are reviewing this immediately with the crew to ensure consistency. You also mentioned concerns about the dolphins. I want to reassure you that Costa Rican regulations strictly prohibit luring, manipulating, or disturbing marine life, except when a fishing line is being used for the purpose of catching fish. This is not a practice we tolerate or take part in during tours. The operator was also surprised by this comment, so one possibility is that the line you observed may have been a standard fishing line rather than something used to attract dolphins. Still, we will look into this carefully with the team to make sure all wildlife interactions are handled responsibly. This sunset cruise was the absolute highlight of our trip! Our group of eight was picked up and dropped off directly from our Airbnb, which made everything so easy and stress-free. The transportation was smooth, and once we arrived at the dock, the experience only got better. The boat itself was perfect- spacious and clean with a very well-stocked open bar, a comfy layout pad, and spotless bathrooms (a huge plus!). The amenities were honestly top-tier, but the real standout was the staff. They were incredible: fun, friendly, professional, and attentive. They were genuinely dedicated to making sure everyone was having a great time. The snorkeling was really enjoyable, and the lunch they served was light, fresh, and exactly what we needed after swimming and sun. And of course, the views during the sunset were unforgettable. It was so beautiful, someone even proposed (don’t worry, she said yes)! Truly an amazing experience from start to finish. If you’re visiting Costa Rica, do NOT skip this cruise! Highly, highly recommend.

Incredible Snorkel & Sunset Cruise – Dolphins, Drinks, and Stunning Views!

This snorkel and sunset cruise was one of the best experiences of our trip! Everything was well-organized, relaxed, and packed with memorable moments. The snorkeling was fantastic—I saw plenty of colorful fish, and then had the chance to go out with Rudy, who helped me find Conch, oysters, and even a sea star! It was such a fun and unique part of the experience. We also got to see bottlenose and spotted dolphins jumping near the boat, which was absolutely magical. The open bar kept the good vibes flowing, and the lunch was surprisingly delicious—way better than your typical boat cruise food. A definite highlight was jumping off the boat with crew members Jesus and Fabian, who brought such great energy to the trip. And of course, the views were breathtaking, especially as the day ended with an unbelievable sunset that felt straight out of a postcard. This cruise struck the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica—you won’t be disappointed!

Sail and Snorkeling were amazing! Crew was very attentive, lunch was delicious and got to see lots of fish, a stingray, dolphins and a sea turtle. Upon leaving the dinghy from the catamaran to shore, we were the last group to board. Our transport to the hotel left without us and we were forced to pay $60 for a taxi to get back to our hotel. Very bad ending to an otherwise great night.

This was a great experience start to finish! The atmosphere was lively, service was attentive and fun, and I enjoyed bonding with the other people on the boat. On the way out to the island we saw jumping stingrays and dolphins swimming directly under the front of the boat. Snorkeling was accessible and fun - not really colorful coral, but tons of cool fish by the rocks. Highly recommend! Lunch was good and drinks were plentiful. I also had a delicious Mango Margarita at the meeting point bar, Alcon.

Ran out of equipment

There wasn't enough snorkeling equipment. The fact that this tour literally has snorkel in its name, and that they know the amount of people that will be on the tour before heading out, I just can't see any valid reason for this. It's not the end of the world, but when traveling on a budget, every penny spent is carefully planned. Our group got to pick two tours to do during our Costa Rica Trip, and snorkeling was at the top of the activity list us. It was the entire reason for booking this tour. Waited in line to get our snorkeling equipment only to be told when we finally get the front that there is no more, and we and the people in line behind us could have pool noodles instead. If one of the main purposes of your tour is to take people to go snorkeling, you should have enough equipment on board for all passengers.

We understand how frustrating this must have been, especially since snorkeling is a key part of the excursion. After investigating the situation, we confirmed that at the beginning of the high season, each boat was fully stocked with enough snorkeling gear to accommodate the maximum capacity (75 passengers). However, in recent weeks, a significant amount of equipment has gone missing, and unfortunately, this information did not reach our operations team in time. To prevent this from happening again, we are implementing stricter inventory controls to ensure that there is always enough equipment available on the boats and in our storage, along with better tracking to replenish gear as needed. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve our services. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide the full experience you expected. Fun in the sun

Great excursion & the catamaran is quite nice. Dillon was awesome & serviced us with drinks around the clock with a smile on his face. I do feel the music could have been better. Only Latin music was played on the first stretch…I feel they could mix it more with R&B, easy listening & pop music. Also the food was quite tasty. Overall a good excursion. Didn’t snorkel so no review on that part, we just chilled on the catamaran.

The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. We were in good hands. Snorkeling was very sub par. Don't expect to see much in the murky waters. Sunset was amazingly beautiful though and there was plenty of drink and fun. Food was ok.

Thank you for the review. Sorry the snorkeling wasn't better but sometimes it depends on the wave action and the amount of plankton and nutrients in the Pacific. On the up side though, that's why we have so much marine life. We agree that the sunset is breathtaking year around and we have never had any complaints about the food, drinks and the fun. Sting Rays and Sunset

It was a very relaxing day, we saw sting rays and multiple colored fish. The captain positioned the boat perfectly to watch a spectacular sunset. The lunch provided was tasty, the music was fun, the crew was excellent! We met alot of people and enjoyed a nice relaxing day together.
