Overview
Enjoy a day with multiple adventures, including a Tour of Rio Celeste, visiting the Llanos de Cortes Waterfall and the beautiful Sloth habitat at the finca verde private farm. This is about a 10 hour day with a half hour hike through the rain forest, and then observing the wildlife like monkeys, sloths, and exotic birds. You’ll also get to take a dip in the blue river

Overall a great experience. The waterfall stop and Rio Celeste were gorgeous but the best part for us was the jungle tour with guide Obed. His knowledge of the area was supreme and his ability to find and id the birds we saw and heard was incredible. He asked what we wanted to see and only failed in finding us a jaguar, which is probably for the best. 3 different toucans, 3 motmots and a slew of others were added to our life list. The only oddity and reason for the 4 stars was the order of operations. It doesn’t make sense to me to go swimming at the waterfall, then drive wet to the 2 hour walk in the jungle, then go to another wet event. As birdwatchers it would be better to have gone to the jungle first wearing dry clothes, then do the stops for lunch and the wet events after. Overall satisfying as a tour!

We also sincerely appreciate your thoughtful feedback regarding the order of activities. The itinerary is structured this way for a very important reason: if we do not visit the waterfall first, it will be closed by the time we return from the rainforest, and we would miss the opportunity to enjoy it altogether. Since the waterfall is located along the route to the rainforest, starting there ensures guests can experience it.
For this reason, we always recommend bringing extra clothing, and we do note this clearly in the tour description. We also make sure to inform guests in advance that all locations have restrooms and changing facilities available, so everyone can be as comfortable as possible throughout the day.

We were brought to visualize and be informed about many plants and animals local to CR. Our driver did an amazing job in explaining and taking pictures of everything of interest. He was extremely friendly and worth every penny.

Our tour guide Miller was great! He was so friendly and knowledgeable, and he made an effort to learn what we were interested in seeing. The different sites we saw were very special, and everyone we encountered was kind and professional. I would definitely recommend!

The tour guide, Eddie Rojas was fantastic and knowledgeable and made the trip. The sloth/jungle tour was (too) short. The waterfall was neat. The river wasn’t great. Lunch was good.

What a perfect way to spend in Costa Rica! Our guide Carlos was amazing and knowledgeable! He went out of his way to make our experience very personal did not rush us through any part of the tour. He stopped at roadside stands to get fresh fruit and took us time showing and telling us all he know on our trek through the sloth sanctuary- finding animals and taking great pictures! Carlos know so much about his home country and loves to share and educate others! There were so many great things about the day we spent with Carlos! Too many to list- but everything, everything was just perfect !

This tour was so much fun. Our guide, Atol, was friendly and hospitable. He was able to spot lots of cool wildlife in the rainforest including sloths, working ants carrying leaves on the ground, different kinds of birds, and redeye frogs. While he was driving us, he even spotted wild monkeys in trees on the side of the road and pulled over so we could see them!
The authentic Costa Rican restaurant he brought us to was amazing and very delicious with beautiful grounds that we were able to explore while our meal was being prepared. Over all, an amazing day that I would highly recommend!

We're a family of 6 with kids ages 14 to 20 and this was our first trip to Costa Rica. We booked as a private tour (which I highly recommend) and our guide was Eithel. I can't say enough great things about the tour and our guide - made our day the best we could have imagined! Eithel was very informative throughout the car ride and each of the stops, giving us the highlights (just enough information) so that our kids stayed engaged and interested. The car ride was long, however, the van was clean and comfortable and we learned a lot along the way. Our lunch stop was at a local restaurant, ran by a family, and it was amazing! All of our stops were great but our favorite was the hike, where we met up with another local guide and walked through a small part of the rain forest. It was beyond beautiful we were all impressed by the extensive knowledge and ability to spot the various animals, plants, trees and reptiles by Eithel and the other guide. We saw many sloths, a snake, different types of frogs, termites, insects, birds, etc. and some of the most beautiful plants we've ever seen. The only animal we didn't see that we really wanted to was a monkey and, on the way back to the resort, Eithel went out of his way to find monkeys for us. This was a day we will never forget - definite highlight of our trip!!!

We really enjoyed that this was a private tour. Getting to see a baby sloth up close was definitely a highlight of our experience! Lunch was delicious and was at a local family restaurant in a beautiful setting!! We were unable to see the waterfall due to heavy rains and the blue river was brown. Even though we missed those attractions our tour guide went out of his way to find us a couple of other activities to do instead. We highly recommend this tour.

This was a wonderful tour. Eithel was our guide for the day and he was great. He was very knowledgeable of the parks and he was very familiar the surrounding areas. Eithel took the time to make sure we saw all the sights and animals included in the tour and went above and beyond to find a few additional things we really enjoyed. Our tour was so much fun, we decided to book another tour with them that week and it was just as good. The private tour provided a clean, comfortable vehicle with plenty of A/C. Looking forward to coming back and taking another tour with them. We highly recommend this tour, company and guide.

Amazing wildlife and flora! We saw six sloths including one on the ground! We also saw 4 species of frogs and a boa constrictor in a tree. The Rio Celeste was beautiful with it's blue water and the falls were awesome! The volcano. Alley was beautiful. Lunch was delicious. A really great day!

This tour really blew our minds. Our guide Eithel was incredible and so amazing at spotting the sloths which he knew we wanted to see. We saw 11 sloths including 2 babies. Stephanie our rain forest guide made our hike incredible, always pointing out new exciting things at each turn. She was also masterful at taking pictures for us through the binoculars. You could tell she had such a passion for the rainforest. Rio Celeste and Llanos De Cortes Waterfall were absolutely beautiful! I can’t speak highly enough of this tour!

It was obvious that Adel was extremely knowledgeable about the excursion and the places we visited. His love for his native Costa Rica was infectious. I highly recommend this excursion for slightly older folks who do not necessarily want to horseback ride, ATV, or go tubing. This was a nice pace for my husband and I

My favorite part of the trip was the animal preserve. The guide was so knowledgeable and really tried to show us all the amazing animals. We did go on a warmer day so the frogs were all hidden away. The waterfall was beautiful but the blue pools were just ok. I will say the customer service was great. We had a small issue and they were very responsive.

Johnny was the best. He was very accommodating and his English was very good. Easy to talk to and thanks to him the excursions where fantastic. My daughter is vegetarian and he stop at the Burger King so she can buy herself a vegan burger for dinner. He surprised us with pineapple. And give us as much time we wanted to enjoy every activity. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. If you are booking the exclusion ask for Johnny. He is the best.

We had such a great time with Miller. He made sure we seen as much as possible. He would spot animals and stop on side of the road so we could take pictures. He was very attentive. Totally recommend this tour with him.

It was a wonderful trip for our family of 6! Even our 2 year old enjoyed it. Miller was a great host and it felt like we were just being guided by a family member and not a tourist. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. We were never rushed from one location to the next. Highly recommend this company for excursions!

This was an amazing tour and Miller was an amazing guide. I told him at the start of the trip that one of my main goals for the day was to see a sloth. He delivered several times over. We saw so many sloth I lost count, along with monkeys, toucans, other colorful birds and frogs, and so much more. Swimming in the blue river was a refreshing treat and that lunch!!

My wife and I took this tour yesterday, Miller the tour guide was EXCELLENT! he was on time for the pick up, very knowledgeable, spoke perfect English. You were able to swim at the first waterfall and the 2nd water stop in the beautiful blue waters of the Rio Celestes. We had a great traditional lunch and very nice restaurant in the rainforest, then we were able to see frogs, lizards, toucans and around 8 slothes. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great experience. The tour guide and driver were both accommodating.l and friendly. We never felt unsafe on the road. The tour itself was a phenomenal experience. The Waterfall and Blue river were wonderful, but the Volcano tour was the best. We saw multiple Sloths, the Monkey, the poisonous frog, and multiple bird species within the same tour. The lunch was fresh food like you would hope for in any tour meal to cap off the day. I would recommend this to any one
