Don’t get STUNG by this company!

I booked a scuba trip with car service two weeks before my trip. The booking was confirmed, and it said the shuttle would meet me at hotel at 8:00 am. They never showed. I asked the hotel concierge to reach out to SeaBees to see what was going on, and they told him that “Viator never sent SeaBees a confirmation, so I wasn’t booked in their system for a dive or pickup” They asked the concierge to quickly arrange a car to get us there and said they could add us to today’s dive. Since my husband wanted to dive so badly, I decided to still go. Mistakes happen, so I was going to let it go. Maybe Viator did make a mistake; if so, I didn’t want to blame SeaBees. So then we got to the boat. The boat itself was nice. The food was actually not bad either. The dive master we were assigned was also really nice. Unfortunately, the dives weren’t great. Conditions were murky and current was mild, so we didn’t see much. But we know that stuff can’t be controlled by the dive team. I’m not upset about any of that. What did upset me next was how I was treated by one of the divemasters named Niko. When I was putting all my gear away after the dives, I mistakenly picked up his dive belt (thinking it was my husband’s). He rudely said “could you NOT move my dive belt from where I put it?” It wasn’t what he said but rather how he said it. I quickly apologized. I was trying to explain the mistake, and he cut me off- “why do you even need TWO belts?!” His tone caught me completely off guard. I said, “I’m sorry, I thought one was my husband’s.” He rolled his eyes as if he didn’t believe me. I felt like I’d been scolded. I was really taken aback. Another person on the trip even asked me if I was okay and told me how rude they thought the encounter was. My husband was also fuming when he heard, and I probably should’ve just let him throw Niko overboard as he deserved. By now, I just wanted to go home at this point. I was so upset. To make matters worse, when it was time to check out, the manager told me he wanted to speak privately before we left. Thinking it was an apology for Niko or our morning car ride, I went to the desk like a fool. Instead, I was appalled. They tried to gaslight me this time by telling me “I’d put in the wrong address on the reservation and that’s why there was a mix up this morning”…except that’s NOT what they’d said on the phone that morning. What happened to “Viator never sending a confirmation to them?” And now all of a sudden, they can see the reservation, but it was MY fault for “putting in a wrong address?!” I swear my jaw was on the floor at this moment. When I got back to the hotel, I checked the app and asked them to look at what I’d input into the app. The address wasn’t wrong. The address I sent for our hotel WAS correct.

    Avoid

Failed to respond for days about scheduling time for included pick up, and thus never arrived for pick up. (Although Viator support confirmed it the day before.) Eventually, late the night on the scheduled day of activity, they finally replied and blamed TripAdvisor for the error despite my contacting them directly by both listed numbers, their website email, and the booking intermediary (Viator) via app. Grotesque lack of communication and professionalism and I wouldn't trust an outfit like Sea Bees with making my coffee let alone my safety. Emphatically recommended against.

The high standards of the services both in diving equipment and staffs. The facilities of the boat is clean and tidy with professional instructor to give dive sites briefing. The food on boat is delicious with Thai and western cooking.

    A memorable Family Dive!

    Rafael_C, Jun 2024
I recently took a diving trip with my two children (all of us are certified divers), and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were very professional and friendly, from the moment they picked us up at the hotel to when they brought us back. Our Master Diver, Nico, dived exclusively with the three of us, focusing on our safety and enjoyment. He dedicated time to ensure my children were comfortable, assisting them whenever needed, and even reviewed some skills with them. Nico took excellent care of us. The boat was amazing, equipped with bathrooms, showers, and resting areas. Food was always available, including snacks, water, and a very good lunch. Each dive lasted an hour, which is longer than the typical 45-minute, two-tank dives you get elsewhere. I definitely recommend this experience! You won't go wrong with Sea Bees!
