The driver was 1 hour late because he went to the wrong hotel. When he did show up, the first stop was to pick up the guide at the Gems Gallery, which they said was “a museum”; of course it was a ploy for us to buy jewelry. I was pretty upset by this time, and said I wanted to see the highlights of Phuket. Next stop was Old Town Phuket which was going to be another hour of shopping; I said 30 minutes only. If there were any historical sights in Old Town, we didn’t see them. The tour improved slightly with Wat Chalong, the big Buddha (closed because of a recent landslide), and Karon lookout. Would not recommend.

Guide was great understood what I wanted and was way more than accommodating had a great experience.

Do not hesitate and let this trip get away. Do it first and you will experience Phuket in all it's glory

Abbiamo scelto il tour di 8 ore pensando che avremmo avuto più tempo e più informazioni per conoscere la cultura locale con la nostra guida in inglese. Mi dispiace di dover scrivere che cosí non è stato. La guida parlava pochissimo inglese e pochissimo in generale, e i posti dove siamo stati, alcuni bellissimi, sono stati privi delle informazioni che ci aspettavamo e che ritenevamo fondamentali anche visto il costo. Inoltre, tante soste non erano in posti storicamente rilevanti, ma in fabbriche di questo e di quello, cioè negozi, nei quali vieni introdotto con qualche parola per poi essere portato a comprare. Ecco, ci siamo sentiti più polli da spennare che viaggiatori curiosi della realtà locale. Mi dispiace di lasciare una recensione non positiva, capisco che sia un lavoro necessario, ma se il pacchetto parla di 8 ore con una guida, non è questo che mi aspetto. Per i dintorni mezza giornata è più che sufficiente, non lo rifarei…
