We did the feeding only and it was a perfect morning activity. The elephants were funny not wanting to eat their vegetables first but preferred the fruit. Lots of great photos and fun!

The whole experience felt a bit rushed, but the guides were kind and introduced us to the various elephants on display at the sanctuary.
It was however disappointing to see one guide repeatedly pinching the baby elephant's ear to 'encourage' him to raise his trunk for the sake of a photograph...

Bring a change of clothes as you will get dirty and wet.
Morning with the elephant learning about them, having the opportunity to feed them share in a mud bath, and then wash them down is one of the most awesome experiences you can ever hope for!
This day absolutely exceeded my expectations. If I am back in Phuket again, I will most certainly enjoy this activity the next time.

Paid for the half day package with the cooking demo. NO cooking was included, just a buffet for you to eat. The buffet was alright. The elephant interactions were great! They only have 3 elephants so far, which seem to be treated well and they were not in distress. Two of them are actually very playful and happy!
This is not like the elephant experiences you have in Chiangmai with jungle walks, so have realistic expectations. You swim with them in a Still water man-made pond. The elephant handlers and guides are very friendly and will take tons of photos for you. This was over all pretty good. Just don’t expect to get the Thai cooking class With your hand day package though.

Very cool hidden gem in the Patong hillside. Elephants ranging from 4 years old to 61 years old. We got to make their vitamin balls and feed them, take photos, drank some elephant dung coffee, see how elephant dung paper is made, paint mud on the elephants and hose them off. Lunch was served after. Lockers, disposable towel, shower and restroom facilities were all readily available and well stocked. Overall it was a fun and informative experience with the beautiful animals. Patong Elephant Hug gave us a wonderful time!!

Good transfer arrangements. Very good English speaking guide / instructor. Plenty of interaction time with the elephants . The staff take lots of photos which are free to download . Can buy glossy photos on the day also - they are reasonably priced . Good washroom facilities.

Lovely little visit to feed and learn about these amazing creatures. Our guide was informative and helpful, animals were cared for and seemed loved on, as well they helped local schools by donation of paper made there. Great experience, just enough time!

This was such a fun and unique experience. I went solo and wasn’t able to get a lot of pictures of me with elephants myself since I hate bothering people to take my photo but they have photographers there that will take pictures of you so that was great. Hotel pick up and drop off went smoothly. I highly recommend this tour for any animal lover.

Freaking amazing experience this has been the best thing I’ve done on my trip in Thailand. The elephants are so amazing and loving. I can tell they are well taken care of and living life. I highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Phuket it’s money well spent trust me.

The elephant hug was absolutely amazing. We learnt so much and it was great fun. Viator didn’t say what the pickup time was so we had to make our own way there! It felt like a big let down on their part as we met where we were supposed to be and they had gone an hour earlier without us. It was difficult to get a taxi ourselves. The Elephant hug place were very accommodating and let us join in the next session and then took us back to the cruise terminal. After a stressful start it turned out to best one of the best trips.
I’m loosing faith in Viator as it’s the second time we have been let down.

We were picked up on time in a lovely airconditioned van.
We chose to just feed the elephants & then leave.
The whole experience was so lovely. You could tell the elephants were treated beautifully by their carers. We had lots of time with the elephants with plenty of photos & hugs. The staff were awesome & very welcoming & made us feel welcome even though we weren't staying the full time.
I would definately recommend this elephant encounter.

Worth an experience to humanly see the elephants. You can tell they get treated really well and it shows by how excited and energized they were to see people. The tour guides are funny and patient to help you be safely with the elephants. There’s snacks and water/coffee, and lockers available-complimentary. Definitely recommend!

Amazing experience. Must do!! Genuine interaction with the sweetest of creatures while helping them rather than using them. Great opportunity to teach kids about animal preservation and ethical tourism while having the sweetest experience. Fun and heartwarming and the staff is just as amazing

Being able to interact closely with these gentle giants, including gentle hugs and spending time alongside them, felt natural and unforced. It was a great experience. The elephants were amazing and the friendly staff took loads of photos of us, gave us coffee, different fruits and great energy. They collected us from the hotel and dropped us back there afterwards.

A memorable and moving experience.
Honestly, while these beautiful creatures clearly have a better life than in a circus or in labour, I don’t think it’s quite as blissful for them as it’s made to seem. Yes they’re fed, no they don’t have to do tricks, but they do have ropes around their necks, and they are softly commanded to interact with guests.
I was grateful for the experience and I do think it will be enlightening for a lot of people but it still felt exploitative.
Also I think they could make it clear beforehand that if you go for the basic photo & a hug experience, you just have to wait for the groups who booked the longer experiences. It wasn’t a long wait, but it’s misleading.
