Go down the rapids...

Go down the rapids instead of taking the other route, it was alot of fun. If you do the 4 hour trip it took us around 5.5 hours with a few short stops

The rapids definitely add a lot of fun to the trip and make you feel like an adventurer! Thanks for joining us and taking the time to review.

Take this trip!

Absolutely incredible experience! They aren’t kidding that you may tip out in swifter water, so keep your lifejacket on and you can hop right back on. A dry bag and phone pouch are essential, bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and prepare to see gorgeous scenery and lots of wildlife!

Thank you for your review! Sounds like you had quite an adventure.

Fun time

Had a great time on this trip but I was tired by the end of 4.5 hrs due to heat and loss of water bottle when I flipped.

Cool times on a hot day

A cool trip on a hot day. Good equipment. Check in and orientation were great. Saw several groups of horses, tons of birds and wonderful canyon walls. Took us just over 3 hours to arrive at Granite Reef. Took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get picked up after I called twice and another couple called once.

The first 10-11 miles of the trip were ABSOLUTELY beautiful… the ending left a bit to be desired. Seeing the beautiful scenery, wild horses and other animals was definitely a highlight of the trip. My friends and I truly enjoyed the vast majority of our kayaking experience. The staff at the launch site as well as the gentleman who picked us up were very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. The trash and graffiti in and around the river was very much unexpected (mostly towards the end of the trip.) The last mile to mile and a half of the kayaking trip lead into an area that had a significant over growth of the river grass - which of course gathered the trash and slowed the movement of anything. The site to disembark from the kayaking trip was not marked and difficult to find. Personally, I just recommend and feel as though people on the longer kayak trip need to have a better understanding as to what to expect at the end of your kayak trip. Although the ending was not the most desirable it didn’t over shadow the rest of the experience. I would def go again and recommend the trip … Again, I just think having a more realistic expectation of the ending would have been nice.
