Great 4 hours tour of French Riviera

Our guide, Smiley was excellent. She drove through the beautiful roads from Villefrench to Monte Carlo and Nice. We have seen the entrance of the grand casino of Monte Carlo, we drove through the Formula1 track, we drove to an amazing observation point of all Monte Carlo area, all the way we have seen beatiful views of the coastline and beaches, the beatiful vilages views like Eze village on the mountain. We have seen such amazing views and had a taste of the French Riviera in just 4 hours. Thank you! Highly recommended!

Communication with the operator and our driver “FX” was top notch. FX was early to arrive and made sure we knew exactly where to find him. We did a half day coastal towns/front-side tour. When we were picked up, we provided an ideal itinerary and then we discussed what would be doable in 4 hours. The summer traffic makes everything slower, so plan to do less than what ChatGPT leads you to believe you can do. FX’s knowledge of the local history and sights was deep. We learned a lot about the wars and the alliances from early times through modern times. It’s really quite fascinating and worth learning about. We visited Nice, where we walked the pedestrian market on our own and picked up some delicious sandwiches at FOCA (highly rated, highly recommended). We did a lot of sightseeing of the area in the van. We then drove west towards Antibes and did mobile sightseeing of the different areas and the mansions. We were given a fantastic restaurant recommendation that was off the beaten path in Antibes old city and FX made a reservation for us. He provided lots of information about other regions we were considering visiting and even made some calls for us to find out more. We decided that instead of making this a round-trip tour from/to Cannes, that we would end in Antibes so we could explore and eat dinner. Highly recommended. The Mercedes sprinter was immaculate and the AC worked very well. This was critical as the day was very hot and humid. No eating allowed in the van. Water is OK.

Great Guide, not Tour Company

Smarttours Riviera had a different reservation time than I had. We waited on the pier for 90 minutes for our guide. I had to call the tour company twice and was told that they're reservation said 2:30 pm instead of 1pm. Come to find out our driver had an emergency with his morning tour and told his company to call us to say he would be late. But they never called me. So I felt the company was not truthful. Our guide, Noe, was awesome when he arrived. We had a 3 hour tour instead of 4 hours but he was knowledgeable and a great driver. We saw beautiful scenery and Monaco and Monte Carlo. He got us back to the ship on time even with traffic.

Our driver Noah was great. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He helped us make the most of our limited time. We saw Villefranche sur me, Cap Ferrat, Eze, La Turbie Monaco-Ville and Monte Carlo up close and personal. Highly recommend a private customizable tour like this to make the most of limited time and get exactly what you want and when you want it!!
