Mago is a phenomenal tour guide. The passion he has for his job is demonstrated in his deep knowledge about the history of the Monaco and Eze areas. He is an engaging story-teller, with a great sense of humor. Our tour flew by and everyone in our group of 10 had a wonderful experience.

This tour was amazing and Mago is a fantastic guide. He does not bore you with tedious details but is a master storyteller with historical stories you will remember for a lifetime. He is also very humorous and friendly. Do not hesitate to book a tour with this company. We will be back to the French Riviera and will most definitely use Mago’s services again.

Did a solo private tour with Mago. He is an exceptional tour guide. He customized my itinerary to my interests, is extremely knowledgeable and a terrific storyteller. And he took hands-down the best photos of any tour guide I’ve ever used. His van is brand new and he’s just a down to earth great guy. Highly recommended.

Mago has great English and was easy to hear. We traveled with our 77 year old mom who moved a little slowly and he was so accommodating. Told stories about the history of the cities, asked questions and got to know the 4 of us. He was fun and full of information. Would definitely recommend him!

Don’t even hesitate to book this tour with Mago - he was the absolute best. Funny, friendly, and remarkably engaging with everyone in the group. Kept all of our attention, even some of us that were still battling jet lag. We loved all the stories and the way he presented the history, and the flow of information. You can definitely tell that he’s mastered this over many years.
If and when we come back, we will just want to book Mago to take us everywhere!

He understands and can communicate in English the historical context of what we are seeing—he can tell you why things appear the way they do, and he can tell you in an interesting, engaging way. He is also fun to be with; he is most thoughtful; and he is a careful driver. I wholeheartedly recommend hiring Mago as your guide. You will not regret it.

This was an absolutely exceptional half-day tour. Mago was an excellent host and extremely knowledgeable guide. He took us to the most spectacular viewpoints around Nice, Eze, and Monaco. We even saw Prince Albert leaving the castle in his motorcade.

TL;DR: a bit expensive for what you’re getting; but our tour guide, Gabriel, was nice.
PROS:
- Contacting the tour operator was extremely easy with any questions and they’re very responsive on WhatsApp. When I wanted to change the location from Monaco to St. Paul de Vence the evening before the tour, I WhatsApped them and they literally responded within a few minutes.
- You can tell that Gabriel is trained as a tour guide and was ready with his iPad on hand when explaining sites to us. It was as if he’s been practicing off a script and ensuring that he was checking off each of the boxes so that he doesn’t miss anything.
- The drives to both Eze and St. Paul de Vence were short. It was great having a local and someone familiar with the areas guide us on where to go and explain everything to us. Gabriel was a great driver as well - felt very safe in his car. The car was roomy, clean, and very comfortable.
- Gabriel dropped us off to a boulangerie for a pit stop for some snacks and it was great! Their pain gagner was delicious!
CONS:
- When Gabriel picked us up in the morning, he introduced us to his brother, someone that will be with us that day to record him. He should have checked before the tour for consent to record him AND us during the tour. There was no consent or a heads up - it was more like my brother is here to record me. No further details on where these recordings are going, what they’re going to do with them, etc. I had to ask and he said that all the tour guides do the same and they film it for the tour company to put it up on their social media accounts.
- When making stops and giving explanations, try to find a shade to stand in vs. out in the sun where we’re all melting. The glare from the sun on the iPad screen makes it virtually impossible to see what’s on there and it’s challenging to stand and listen to him talk while it’s 32c in the sweltering sun.
- When wandering into stores to take a gander, it was a bit uncomfortable to have our guides follow us inside like a pair of bodyguards. Inside the store, he'd explain things on the shelves while we perused and stuck to us without giving space to look around ourselves.
All in all, it was a pleasant experience, but I personally don't feel like it was worth the amount paid. I'd recommend this experience to a friend if they had extra money to spend.

You are right about the heat — those were some of the hottest days we have had this summer, and it was indeed a challenge to find shaded areas that were also good spots for storytelling. That being said, I take your comment seriously and will make an effort in the future to find more comfortable places for explanations when the weather is extreme.
Regarding the presence of Alex, the person filming: he is not only my brother but also working with us as part of an internship. He was there specifically to take photos of the guides for our social media. I completely understand your concerns, and I should have explained more clearly beforehand. Please rest assured: we never share any guest photos without explicit permission. If you appear in the background of any image, we either blur your face or ask for your consent before posting anything.
I am sorry to hear that the tour did not feel like a great value to you. Personally, I find these villages and this region truly exceptional, and I tried my best to share that with you throughout the tour. I regret that it did not resonate with you as I had hoped.

This was by far the best tour of our entire Mediterranean vacation—and that’s saying a lot! Our guide, Mago, was absolutely outstanding. His deep knowledge of history, combined with fascinating details at every stop, made this experience both incredibly engaging and educational. From the charming streets of Èze to the elegance of Monaco, Mago brought every location to life with context, humor, and passion. We learned so much and truly appreciated the personalized approach. Five stars aren’t enough—this was a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful tour! We started with Eze which is a charming town and stopped for drinks and snacks at Chevre D'Or. Beautiful views in all of Eze. We then went to Monaco and learned of its history, and ended the day with a trip to Monte Carlo to see the famous casino entrance and be in the middle of flash and glamour that is expected. Highlights for my son and husband was to see and ride along the F1 track
Mago was very knowledgable along the entire trip from the moment we started. He has a wealth of knowledge and kept the tour interesting and informative.

My family and I had the best time in Nice, exploring Eze Village, Monaco, and Monte Carlo. Our tour guide Mago was excellent and the best guide we’ve ever had! He was very knowledgeable and told us awesome stories about the history of Eze and Monaco. His pacing was also considerate for my 83 yr old MIL who was with us. We would definitely do it again next time we’re in France!

This was actually a booking I was “forced” to make after Viator cancelled my booking, without any explanation I might add. I say forced because we were only in Nice for 2 days and we wanted to see the sights so I had to make this booking despite having booked a full day private guided tour because there was literally nothing else. This tour was shorter but more expensive than the one Viator cancelled. But again, I had no choice. The good thing about it though was that, the guide, Mago from Unique Tours Riviera was nothing short of amazing! He knew so many things! Historical facts, trivias, anecdotes, you name it, he knows all of them. And he took us to places that only locals knew about. We had a really nice time going around the French Riviera. I thought Viator had ruined my time in Nice, good thing Unique Tours Riviera was there and Mago saved the day! I would definitely go back and book again but this time, I would go straight to this awesome tour company named Unique Tours Riviera. You should too if you want the best!

This tour was one you don’t want to miss! Magi was absolutely AMAZING! He was so friendly, had endless knowledge and so helpful and considerate of my mom who had taken a fall a few days earlier and hurt her knee. We could have stayed forever learning about this amazing area! We definitely will be back one day’ highly recommend this tour and Mago! Hands down the best!

Unique tours are fabulous, highly recommend them. Stay away from French Riviera Sightseeing tours, they never get back to you either by phone or email and they are impossible to contact. Our trip from Nice to Monaco was made even better by our local tour guide from Unique tours, Magaux, who is funny, very knowledgeable and quite personable. Unique tours made our trip very special and so I highly recommend them.
