Arrive early to the launch point at Bowen’s Wharf, where your memorable sightseeing cruise departs at set morning and afternoon hours. (Please see ‘Important Info’ tab for sail times.) Board the lovely MV Gansett and find a comfortable seat in the cabin or on the open deck for a float through Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay's East Passage. Relax and admire unobstructed views of the shoreline and attractions like Fort Adams, Hammersmith Farm, the Kennedy Compound and the fascinating Clingstone ‘House on the Rock’.
As for refreshments, morning cruisers are offered a complimentary mimosa, freshly-brewed coffee, tea, and juice. Afternoon guests partake in a complimentary offering of regional beverages like Del's Lemonade, Yacht Club soda, and Coffee Cabinets. A cash bar is also available, serving local beers, wines, and hard cider.
Your cruise ends back at the departure point with plenty of time to explore the bayfront.

- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Strollers and care seats are not allowed on board, but can be stored in the ticket booth.
- Not wheelchair accessible
- Wheelchair access down the dock to the boat, must be able to manage 3 steps to get on and off the boat. Wheelchair cannot come aboard, it can be stored in the ticket booth. Please advise if assistance is needed.
- Please dress appropriately to current weather conditions
- Please no heels for safety purposes.
- Minimum drinking age is 21 years old
- All passengers are required to be checked in at the ticket booth prior to departure time to receive a boarding pass.

There are many boat options in the Newport area, but I would highly recommend choosing this one. The crew was knowledgeable, funny, and friendly.
I find that many of these cruises say they offer drinks and all they’re offering you is champagne or a crappy rum punch. The bar here had so many options that was hard to choose and the drinks were very reasonably priced.
You can also choose if you would like to be in the sun or the shade, which is perfect since we had both of our little kids with us.

Firstly, the logistics are excellent - easy to book, great reminder communications and parking tips, on-time departure, professional and courteous staff. The trip is beautiful and very interesting. I'm sorry I don't remember the narrator's name but he's excellent - so informative and funny ! Thank you for a great experience !

This boat tour was awesome!! Patrick was incredibly intelligent and witty and made learning about the area very fun, and also made my mother in law and I cackle the entire time lol. The ‘Newport margarita’ they serve is delicious! (Lemonade and tequila). Staff was very friendly and professional. Would recommend to anyone wanting to be on the water and learn a bit about the area.
