Overview
Race through the native forest canopy and admire the mountain views from the sky in this unique flying fox experience. The Skywire is one of the longest flying foxes in New Zealand and can reach speeds of around 60 miles (100 kilometers) per hour. This package gives you the chance to experience that speed first-hand as you rocket up and down Cable Bay hillside, through the trees and valleys.

We are 14km north of the Nelson CBD, drive north towards Picton for 12km then turn left onto Cable Bay road. Drive for 2km and you will find the Cable Bay Adventure Park on the right hand side - look for the flags and signs.

Awesome personal experience as it was just me and my wife. Guides had great knowledge of local area and all things New Zealand on the mini bus ride to the top. Awesome views of the rainforest and surrounding area.

The adventure park was really far from Nelson city and despite the Viator website stating “ A pick-up can be arranged from central Nelson on request”, this was not the case. The sky wire it’s self was pretty fun but of the 90minutes listed for event duration, closer to 10 is spent on the sky wire itself.

It was very professional and felt 100% safe, It was a fun ride there and back. Views out amazing especially on our sunny day. Recommend you wear warmer clothing due to speed travelled. Staff super friendly, cafe great it was fun

We really enjoyed our Skywire experience. So much fun. Booking with viator is smooth sailing. No issues at all. I just told Cable Bay Park my name without showing my booking and they immediately confirmed it. Love the Reserve now, Pay later option too! Highly recommended!
