Stunning views of the Nelson coastline/estuary and local farmland on this all day excursion to the winery and back. But cycling was easy safe, and energizing. Chris and Bernie couldn't have been better hosts. All and all, a peek experience!

If you're not a cyclist and don't know the area, maybe don't do this tour. There wasn't a lot of information on this tour on Viator, had to ask several times about start time, and the map wasn't great, especially as we had to find food on our own (restaurant at the winery was closed), which took us off the main trail, and there was construction on the road the map said for us to go on. There was a lot of heavy industry, highways and busy roads to ride by, so if you're wanting a peaceful ride, this wasn't it. HOWEVER, go to the cycle nelson website and book one of their other tours that looked really interesting. The staff were great. The bikes well maintained.

I can only imagine that having to cope with deviations due to traffic works and cafes not being open must have been frustrating for you, but we do the best we can by giving a personalised briefing, an interactive map to upload to your phone showing your location in relation to the trail, physical maps as well as signage along the trail. We are sorry you got lost, but thankfully our driver was able to come and collect you from the winery after your wine tasting.

Great trail for a ride except the first section when it parallels the highway. The trail is well maintained and marked. We rode to Rabbit Island and it was well worth the effort. The beach is a great place to rest and listen to the surf.

Absolutely beautiful trail. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the wine tasting was a nice add on. Would definitely recommend anyone who is coming to Nelson to give it a try.

Long, leisurely ride out to Mapua and very nice stop at a winery made the bike trip enjoyable. That said, it was a very long day in the saddle and casual riders need to prepared.

Such a fun day! We rode e-bikes along the Great Taste trail , a lovely scenic route along the water. We ended up at Siefried winery where we had a delightful lunch in the garden and wine tasting We are in our 60s and don’t ride bikes regularly but thus 20km ride was made easy and pleasant by the e-bikes. Chris and Bernie are wonderful to work with !
