Overview
While your cruise ship is docked in Nassau's port, go snorkeling in the Bahamas' aquamarine waters. During this 5-hour shore excursion, explore the island's waters by swimming among schools of tropical fish and other marine life. Choose to swim with sharks, the ocean's top predator, or view them from the boat, guided by your expert captain. Use of all snorkel gear and round-trip transportation from the Nassau cruise port are included in this tour.

Departure Point: Tour departs from the water fountain next to the cruise ship terminal Directions: Cruise Ship Passengers: In order to be picked-up for your tour, you must walk outside the Welcome Center and proceed to the green gates, once outside the green gates, you will see a water fountain, this is where you need to stand in order to see the bus pull up. If you are arriving via cruise ship, please be ready by 8:15am (for morning departure) or 12:15pm (for the afternoon departure). Dates: Daily
Itinerary
Once your cruise ship docks in Nassau, meet your guide at the port for transfer to the starting point of your marine adventure.
Board a boat with an experienced captain, then travel to some of the calmest, clearest locations for the best chance at excellent snorkeling. Get a safety orientation from your guide and get fitted for your snorkel gear. Don your provided mask, snorkel and fins and jump in. Float among schools of tropical fish, see live coral and other marine life.
If the conditions are right, your second stop will be to get an up close and personal encounter with the sea's alpha predator: sharks. Follow your guide into the water to view the sharks swimming calmly below you. You can also stay on the boat to view the sharks in complete safety.
At the conclusion of your 5-hour shore excursion, you'll be dropped off back at the cruise ship port.

• Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
• Children under the age of four not permitted

We had overall good experience. Saw lots of different fish! Went to 3 different sites, which was nice, one of which was an observation of the sharks. I didn't like that we were not on a protected reef; we were snorkeling in open water with large waves. Another downside was 45+ min ride from port and boat ride 30+min to the snorkel sites. About 5 hours tour total. Was very convenient and easy pick up/drop off at cruise port.

This was hands down one of the best excursions of our trip! From start to finish, the crew made the entire experience seamless, fun, and unforgettable. Shae and Pilar were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable in the water, while Captain Garth kept everything running smoothly and safely. We visited two amazing snorkeling spots filled with vibrant fish and crystal-clear water, and the shark viewing area was an absolute highlight—such a unique and thrilling experience! Overall a good trip. The bus driver to boat wasn’t the greatest, but captain of boat was great! Not anything to do with company, but water was freezing so we didn’t enjoy experience to its full potential.

A decent fun snorkel adveture, you go to 3-4 different spots spending 30-40 minutes each spot. It is a let down, that they advertise this as a shark snorkel, and you only get 5-10 minutes at the shark location, first off its not even up close with them, they throw a rope out and have you hold onto it, while theres a bait box below you, then the sharks are 50-60 feet below you, and you just look down at them for 5 minutes. Then they bring everyone back on the boat and then bring the bait box up to the surface where you can see them for another 5 minutes before leaving. I was able to have them put my go pro in the water to capture some footage of them up close, but overall it was a little bit of a let down. Overall snorkling trip was fun, just sad they advertise it as a shark snorkel and you rarely get anytime with them. it also says it is a 5 hour excursion it was maybe 3 at max in the water, the location is 45min drive from the cruise ship ports.

Kareem and Alexis were the best guides. Never thought I’d ever be in the water watching sharks swim below me. I was trying to so hard to film with phone in its waterproof pouch (and failing) when Kareem wordlessly took the phone and dove down to get some incredible up close video. Definitely will be an excursion we never forget. We hit 2 more snorkel spots after that. Everyone was super friendly and very knowledgeable.

I booked this tour for myself and my wife based on stellar reviews. We were very excited for the snorkeling trip! The shuttle was about 20 mins late to pick us up, but that wasn't a problem. We arrived at the marina, signed some forms, met the very friendly boat crew, and we were off! The weather was a bit cloudy but still fine for snorkeling. We took about an hour to get to the first snorkeling spot, everyone got in, saw some fish, it was lovely. The second spot we went to was barely five minutes away and only a few people got in. After that, our boat captain apparently decided we were all done? So we only got about 30-60 mins of snorkeling out of the 3 hours promised before we returned to the marina. I contacted Viator for a refund and was basically told tour lengths are at the discretion of the crew, purportedly for safety reasons. Which I understand, but the weather was fine and we did not return early due to safety reasons. Super disappointed in both Stuart Cove and Viator for this experience. Would not recommend.

Windy cloudy choppy conditions, low visibility, not that much to see. Water and air quite cold. Wet suits mentioned but definitely were necessary and most didn’t have. Good safety procedures in place.

Good things: Snorkelling above the sharks was an amazing experience, and even better was when they brough the sharks up to the surface once we were all safely on the boat. (You don't have to get in to have a good shark experience). The two stops at reefs allowed us to see a decent amount of tropical fish, though maybe not as many as in some other waters, according to other guests on the tour.
It was my first time snorkelling and the sharks were the first stop, so figuring out all that while trying not to kick or move much was a little stressful. If you're a novice, you might want to practice somewhere first.
All the necessary equipment was provided. The crew were friendly and helpful.
It is on the far side of the island from downtown Nassau/Atlantis so it does take an hour or so to get from your pick-up to the departure point. If you're short on time, there are closer options, but perhaps not with the sharks.

Best snorkeling experience I've had. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Nathan and Kareem were available in water for anyone needing help or to answer questions. Those that were comfortable were able to explore the reefs. Best part was the sharks by far. Would recommend them to both new and experienced snorkelers.

Best snorkeling adventure ever! We made three stops. One to swim/snorkel with sharks. We had to hang onto a line and stay close to ship. We saw one shark and it was very cool. Next out to a reef for over an hour then to another two reef area for about an hour. Well worth the fee and better than what the cruise line had to offer.

The sharks were a cool sight! I wish there would have been more instruction on how to use the flippers and the pick up was a little late. Other than that the crew was very kind and helpful.

The kids loved swimming with sharks. Getting to this facility from cruise port was stressful. No communication from company about exact details and US cellular connection is tricky. We had to walk back and forth asking various people where this company would pick up- got a variety of answers. Driver was late but made up for it in speedy driving across island to Stuart’s Cove. There has got to be a closer option to cruise docks. Instruction once on the boat was minimal. With the distance across the island, we were a few minutes getting back on the ship.

The people were friendly and helpful and the equipment was good. The boat was crowded. The bus ride to the starting point was way too long as was the boat ride from the starting point to the point you actually got in the water. If they were located closer, it would be much more worth it. As nice as they were, if I were to do it again I would search for something that left closer to Nassau or the resorts, even at a higher price.

Crew is personable & friendly, especially for helping my mom snorkel. Shout out to one of the guys for tugging my 60 yr old mom in her life tube over the reefs & getting her really comfortable in the water. That reallyyyy made her experience 🙌🏼 (I feel so bad I forgot his name, but he deserves a pay raise!) He also gave me great tips to snorkel!
Captain & shuttle driver were also punctual with getting us back to the cruise ship terminal on time!
My only qualm is with the pick-up time/mishap: our ship couldn’t dock on time, so we missed our 8:15am bus. We were also confused if the bus left at 8:15 or 9:30am, not super clear on the Viator website. A group of us contacted the tour operator, and told us to come at 11:15; but we ended up waiting until 12:15p for the second trip. We almosttttt decided to not do the excursion, since we all had to wait more than 3 hours :(
All in all, totally worth it! We went on Thursday May 12 for the 1:30p tour! Perfect weather! Couldn’t have asked for a better tour!

First; I downloaded tickets. Those tickets say departure at 9:30 am. It wasn’t until after 9:30 that we realized there was fine print that if you came in on a cruise ship you had to be there at 8:15… even though my printed tickets said 9:30. There were the. Cruise passengers all in the same situation. They offered to book us in the afternoon. We clarified with them a good five times that we’d be back by 5 o’clock to catch the boat. Yes! Yes! You’ll be back! You can see where this is going…
A bus takes the ten of us cruisers to Stuart’s cove. OMG you show up and the building looks like it’s been bombed. What a hell hole.
The ride out to the ocean is also a tour of old dumpy ships… I think a floating junkyard?
We finally get out in the ocean…. I didnt see ONE fish. Not one. My seven year old swore she saw a starfish though. Uggg…
We had to keep hounding them to hurry or we would miss our boat.
We literally had to run for it to catch our ship. Don’t book with this company. It’s a dump.

The long wait for the bus pick up. We were told to be at the water fountain by 8:15 am but the bus didn't show up until 9:20 am. The third stop to see sharks was cancelled and the first two snorkelling stops had very little fish to view. It was a disappointing trip to say the least. Definitely not a five hour snorkeling trip.

Too many people on one boat, felt rushed during the excursion. Bus driver late leaving at meeting point because of late travelers, which caused huge delays. Not worth the price. Three stars given because of at the end we were able to be in the water with the sharks, which was a great experience. However, staff not friendly and it felt like they had no desire to be working. It's too bad as this could be an amazing experience if they cut down on the amount of people allowed on the boat and had themselves a little better organized.

As luck would have it, the cruise line changed the day that we were to be in Nassau and we had to call up and switch dates. Not only did the date change but the time was shortened as well. We were set to cancel but they were nice enough to modify our excursion by having us go to two out of three snorkel sites, then they sent a private motor boat to the main boat to bring us back to shore and then one of the assistants drove us back to the ship. We felt like royalty!
Snorkeling was amazing. We saw an abundance of sea life. Highly recommend this tour.
